Transmigration Paperwork

"Enjoy your vacation Mahasorena." Said a coworker of hers as she left her workplace. Her job there wasn't anything significant to the grand scheme of things.

The company she was in charge of the management of souls for worlds. Not physically taking them from worlds or putting them into a world. Just making sure that they came from point A and went to point B and followed the process of reincarnation. The company also makes sure that there is a proper amount of souls in each world to prevent soul overpopulation or soul endangerment. However, she was just a paper worker at the end of the day.

After working for so long she had finally gotten the vacation days that she requested for so long.

3.4 millennium.

This was long time, nonetheless compared to a mortal's perception of time flow.

When she finally left the company building she went outside and looked at the building. She saw the many windows lining the walls. The building was the size of a skyscraper, blocking the sun, if there was one in the sky. She then looked at the sky surrounding the building.

She saw many white clouds that looked like freshly made cotton candy surround the building and the sky that was the color of pink lemonade. She had seen the many skies of the worlds that the company manage, some red, yellow, one was even a puke-ish green color some Creator though was lovely. Some even change color according to the will of the world's emotions.

What does she care for? It doesn't matter what color the sky was. What did, was if they were willing to subscribe to the company's soul management services. It is a job, not an art gallery. One that put food on the table. One that she knew better to criticize and should be grateful for having.

She then returned her focus and took in a deep breathe and let it out. She then raised her finger and tapped the air in front of her. The air trembled and shook vigorously as through resisting the will of the world. Soon a crack appeared, barely the size of a tennis ball.

If one were to look closely they would be able to see something leak out of the creak. Some precious, fine liquid slowly dripping onto the floor then disappearing into the ether.

She then reached both of her hands inside of it and began to force it open wide enough to fit her body. She could only widen the creak in burst of strength instead of one continuous movement. After some effort she eventually made it the size of her body with a little more space so that she could walk through it.

When she walked through the crack in the space it quickly closed with a snap. The space that the crack appeared in start to shiver as though trying to rub a bruise. After a quick moment, the space then returned to normal.

Once she walked through she stretched out her arms and rolled her shoulders. "Damn doing that make me realize that I need to start working out more often," She complained.

What she had done was cause a creak in the reality of the world. This allowed her close two points of the world, regardless of distance. In this instance, the first point being in front of her workplace and the second point being her home.

Naturally, a mortal seeing someone like that would think that they are a god or some being of great divinity. And while she can do what they do and some more, amongst her peers and the ordinary people of her kind, what she had done earlier is something considered a bare minimum.

Her home was of unique design. The floors of the home was made of white marble, veined with lustrous gold that reflected any light that shone upon it. The walls were painted a stark black with various decorations upon it. There were mirrors on the wall there in ornate shapes held in beautifully designed frames. There was the occasional wooden stand that had a vase full of flowers. Each vase had flowers at various stages of life once clipped from the bush. Some had lush, soft petals giving the air surround them an aromatic smell which many would find pleasant and other had dried petals that hung around the stoma of the flower, with the slightest gust of wind that would throw them away, releasing a faint smell that once filled the air and many in-between these stages.

Once she got into her home she changed her clothes and got into something comfortable, less formal. She then threw herself onto her bed and took a long deserved nap. And the best part was that she didn't need to set an alarm.

After waking up from some unknown amount of time sleeping she remained in her bed and thought to herself aloud, "I have nothing to do."

Yes, when she had all of the time of the world to herself she doesn't know what to do with it.

After thinking if what she should do she came up with a wonderful idea that she heard many creators do with their world. She then got out of bed and changed into something that was formal but comfortable to move in. She then left her bedroom and went to the front room of the house.

She looked around the room and saw what she was looking for, the dried flowers in vases that were barely holding on. She grabbed one of the many dried flowers and left the room. She then looked through her house in search of one specific mirror.

Yes, she found it, the mirror was in the shape of an oval and had glasswork carvings as the frame of the mirror. A gift from her mother when she got a promotion at her job. When she found it she got the dried flowers, still releasing a faint smell, and grinded it between her hands into a coarse powder. She then held it to her mouth and breathed faintly on it, causing it to glow a soft, wine red color. She then threw the powder at the mirror, aerating it.

The mirror shuttered for a bit, then stopped. It no longer held any reflection of any kind but instead now turned into the entrance of some hidden room. She then walked through the mirror and into the room.

This is where she stored the worlds and universes that she created.

Everyone of her kind were able to create worlds and universes. And due to their naturally ability to do so it was mandated by law. By the law it stated that each individual by the time that they were "adults", the letter of the law was vague on what was considered an adult, should create and maintain 10 worlds at all time with no upper limit.

Punishment for not doing so varied on the degree of the crime, if one of the creates had nine worlds created and was in the process of the making the 10th then they might chalk it up to a misdemeanor or pay a small fine. If they had less then 5 or worse they had created none then they would be viable for an array of punishments.

Due to this law and the fear of having their worlds sabotaged, many creators had different ways of storing the worlds. Some held their worlds in snow globes, others held theirs in ornate wine bottles. Each creator had the means to store their worlds however they wanted. But almost all of them had decided to hide where they stored their worlds. Only those who enjoyed creating worlds or were proud of the world they created would put it in a public space in their house.

In the room was a wide desk that supported two computer monitors, a keyboard, a landline phone, and a small plant in effort to spruce up the place. Underneath the desk hidden in a small compartment, away from anyone's eyes who didn't know where look for it was the PC.

Mahasorena stored all of her worlds in a PC. To her, this was revolutionary as it stored all of the worlds that she created into one place and made it portable in case of emergency. It also allowed her easier access to her worlds than having to bring out each individual world and look for them. It also doubled as a regular PC.

She then went to her desk and grabbed the landline phone and punched in the phone number of someone that could help her. The phone droned on for a bit before someone on the other side picked up.

"HHHIIII, Lithale. Right, this is Lithale correct? Because I know that you changed your phone number earlier and I don't know if I got the two mixed up."

She waited for a response at the other end in hope of not being embarrassed.

"Yes this is Lithale. Mahasorena when was the last time you called me or hanged out together?"

"Yesterday, Lithale we work at the same place on the same floor. Anyway I was wondering if you can help me with something, when can you come over?"

"I can come cover over to your house right now. What do you need help with? Something wrong? Did you kill someone and need help to hide the body? You know you could hide it in one of your worlds, I hear it makes great fertilizer for the worlds core."

"No, no, I didn't kill anyone and if I did I'll call you to help me hide the body, don't worry. I just want help with transmigrating a soul to one of my worlds. And bring me the Life description files of the souls. I am not looking for anything special."

""Alright, I'll come over and bring the files and paper work."

She heard the receiver click on the other side and the line went dead. Then an loud cracking sound reverberated through the house. She slammed the phone on the receiver and yelled.

"WHAT DID I SAY ABOUT TELEPORTING DIRECTLY IN MY HOUSE?!"

She quickly got out of her secret room and made sure that the mirror was back to normal. It is not that she didn't trust Lithale but it was just a unwritten rule that no one is allowed to know where creators store their worlds, not even family.

"It was easier and I didn't want to wait outside." Lithale said softly.

Lithale had nice cheek bones and sharp eyebrows that were trimmed and taken care of. His skin was clear of blemishes or scars of any kind. His face was colored with many pigments complimenting him very well. His hair looked thick and soft to the touch, it was glossy but didn't looked greasy. He was very tall and had wide shoulders clad with dense muscles.

In one of his arms he held stacks of papers stuffed tightly into a filing folder that might break if anything more was added.

In the other was a potted plant that was beautiful shape and tasty to the eye of anyone.

"Look at the Bonsai that I made!" He held it out in front of him, showing Mahasorena by shoving it in her face. She had to push it away from her face to get a better view of what Lithale wanted to show her.

It was a tree in a small pot, a bonsai tree plant. The branches were twisted and form in a way that was mimicking the flowing water of a river. The shape was pleasant to the eye and would make a wonderful addition to anyone's collection of plants.

"Isn't that a Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil?" Mahasorena said as she recognize the tree species.

"Yes it is and I made into a cascade type." He said holding it close to his face, admiring his own handiwork and styling of the tree, making one question who was showing it, "Doesn't it look amazing? I spent a lot of time bending the branches with wire to get it into this shape."

"Yes it looks very beautiful, did you buy the plant itself or did you grow it from seed?"

"From seed, took a lot of time!"

He then tossed the folder of papers at Mahasorena and then reoccupied his free hand with holding the Bonsai. He then looked around the house as though he was considering to buy it.

"Why do you have a house here on this dumpy world? You could create a plane of existence solely for you. Make the sky carnal red or a sea into a lavender pink! I do, I mean you know I do. You visited before."

"It's easier for going to work, Lithale. And I can do that anytime I want, anyone can." She mumbled in response as she opened the file and started going to through the papers.

"Ahh yes, work." Lithale said with disgust in his voice, taking his interest away from the bonsai to the point of putting it down gently, "That soul management company for Creators who are too lazy to do it themselves."

"It is not that much work anyway!" He ranted to Mahasorena, who wasn't paying attention to him as this was a common occurrence that happened.

After waiting for Lithale to calm down from his rant.

"Before you start looking at those files I am going to need you to fill out this paper." He said grabbing a pen from somewhere, "I know I know, but just in case shit hits the fan."

The paper before was a contract, that required many signatures. Basically it was a disclaimer from the government and the company that they do not take responsibility if something bad happens to the Creator or the soul that is being transmigrated. Other than that it also allowed them to keep a written record that she used that company and she acknowledged what she is doing. Luckily for first time users there is no charge of service.

After writing her names in countless way, in print, in cursive, and in signature form she finally reached the last line needed. At the bottom of the contract was not a dotted line for the signature but a question.

'What is the reason for Transmigration?' Underneath the question was a empty line for her to write in.

She quickly written in her answer as she was getting tired and frustrated in writing already.

Entertainment.

There were many reasons why a Creator would transmigrate a soul from a different world or universe. One of the most common reason was if there were problem with the world, such as one race becoming too powerful, threatening the balance of the world. While a creator of the universe can fix the problem, and most do, there is the occasion that there are too many small problems that couldn't be fixed by them, if they do most of the time would lead to more problems, and transmigrating a person would be the best solution.

However that was the second most common reason why Creators transmigrate a soul, the number one reason is for entertainment.

"Alright now that we are done with the shitty part lets do the best part, picking the transmigrator." He said as he began to rub his hands together. "Let's see, Let's see. What do we have here?"

He voiced all of his thoughts out loud as he went through the files of transmigration candidates for Mahasorena's entertainment.

"Lola Winterfell, She from Canada. Has a PhD in Chemical engineering. She was making six figures a month. Died from getting rammed by a Truck."

"Next!" He shouted as he snapped his fingers, making the file containing Lola's life burn into ashes on the floor.

"You know you're going to clean that up." Mahasorena said sternly at Lithale, which he responded with a whimpering nodded.

"What do you have?" He asked her as she too was going through the files of people.

"I got Miguel DeLeon. He was a college student that was studying Political science, yes definitely a real science, with dreams of becoming a political manager. Died from drowning in Lake Titicaca."

"Next!" She shouted as well and snapped her fingers, a black portal sucked in the paper and then promptly disappeared.

They began this type of vetting process of burning the candidates that were a no go or sounded boring.

"Titania De Paris, fancy ass name if I say so myself. Let's see her file." He said as he began to hum to himself as he scanned the file that contained the life of Titania. "Oh shit it's a he my bad."

"Let's see, Highschool student about to graduate, was going to college at some mid-grade college then transfer into a better one. Lived in America, California specifically. Cause of death, suicide."

"I think that this is the one." He said to her handing the file. She read it and nodded her head in agreement.

"If you don't mind me asking... What world are you going to put him in?" Lithale asked as he shoved the remaining files back into the folder.

She swallowed her saliva as though to swallow her own words. She hesitated before she gave her answer. "You know, the world that I made recently, Soviola. I made sure that it was in perfect working condition for this to happen."

When he heard this, he remember her working on it and telling her where she got her inspiration for creating the world, "Ahh yes that world that you definitely made by yourself." Lithale said as he prepared himself to leave.

"Lithale" She said warningly, which Lithale knew was an empty threat.

"Definitely not a copy and paste of a videogame you saw when you visited one of your mother's worlds. How original." He quickly replied

"In my defense I liked it and it makes wonderful material for a world." She tried to defend herself, raising her hands as though being accused of some mortal sin.

"Whatever, anyway the original purpose of me bringing this bonsai as a gift, do you want it?" He offered the potted plant to her by shoving it in her face again.

"No, I will most likely kill it by accident."

"Shame, anyway more plants for me then. Anyway tootles and have a good time with that soul." He said as clapped his hands and promptly disappeared with a loud crack.

"Tootles," She said waving in the spot where he disappeared and then looked at the file that held Titania's description and how he lived his life. 'And now to turn in this file for his soul.' She thought as she folded the paper file nine times and tapped the air in front of her, creating the same crack that she used to go to her house.

She then tossed the file into the crack and waited. Soon after a glass jar containing some bright substance came out of the crack. It held the soul of Titania.

"Talk about fast delivery." she murmured as she went back to her room where she stored her worlds. She then turned on her PC and looked through the storage files that contained her worlds. When she found the document labeled- "Soviola.EXE." and opened it.

While waiting for it to load she returned her focus to the soul of Titania, "Now what boons should I give you?" She thought as she held the glass jar in front of her eyes.
