No Way Out

After walking out of the door, Kaizen could see a wide room with white walls and a brown floor. But most noticeable was that the ceiling was mostly made of glass.

At the end of this room, there was a black wall, with a light brown door in the middle of it. Next to the door, a woman with blonde hair shaped into twin tails could be seen wearing a yellow dress with black stripes and a headphone. Just in front of them, there were two stanchions about two meters apart from each other connected by a red rope.

Just as Kaizen and the other regulars reached near the middle of the room, the woman standing next to the door turned to them and started to speak, "Those of you who passed the test, make a line! The next test will be on a first come first served basis!"

Areum who was near his right side turned towards him and Kyong who was walking to his left. Then, she said, "Let us go first, I don't want to wait for too long for the others to finish."

In response to that, Kyong nodded and said, "As weird as it is for me to agree to your ideas, I also don't want to wait for long."

Then, without asking him, both girls just went to the front as Kaizen followed behind them.

Although he didn't care much to go first since he knew the contents of the test, he still got annoyed for just being ignored. But, knowing that if he tried to voice the idea out, the girls would probably just pummel him, he stayed quiet for now.

"Hi! I am the test guide, Yellowy. The test will be conducted one team after another. For the remaining teams, please wait and follow the guide robot's instructions." Said the woman next to the door as he waved her arm after most regular were already in line.

Being near the front of the line, with only one team having arrived before them, Kaizen's team only had to wait for ten minutes before a scream was heard from the room in front of them. Afterwards, all three of them entered it.

This room was completely black aside from the many doors at its end which shined a dark red color. In the wall to the right, a clock could be seen with both of its handles pointing at the number twelve.

And, in its middle, a shoji wall which had drawing of vegetation in in red and brown color was placed. And, seated on the ground just in front of it, a person with yellow eyes and hair which was made into a bun could be seen wearing a blue and yellow yukata. In front of him a small coffee making setup was placed.

As soon, Kaizen and the girls approached him, he started to introduce himself saying, "Nice to meet you regulars. My name in Hansung Yu, your next test administrator. I am usually just a test director on Evankhell's floor. But this time, the test is simple. Do you see all these doors behind me? Within ten minutes, find the real door and open it."

During the time he was talking, Kaizen was thinking about two matters. The first being that Hansung Yu looked even more feminine in real life than what he saw in comics. While the second matter was that he was worried of Hansung Yu discovering his identity as an irregular.

Yet, before he could continue worrying for any longer, Areum just stared at Hansung Yu with an annoyed expression on her face before speaking, "We only must find the real door, aren't there any more hints? Or are we supposed to guess the answer?"

In response to her questions, Hansung Yu only smiled casually as answered, "No, there are no more hints. This test is quite simple, you only have to find the real door among these twelve ones and walk through it. Only then, will you be able to pass this test."

Then, he squinted his eyes a bit before saying, "But, if you don't pass the test within ten minutes you will fail, and if you enter the wrong door, you will all die."

With that, not only did Areum's frown become stronger, but even Kyong's face became quite anxious.

Seeing this situation happening and looking at his pocket to see that only one minute has passed. Kaizen decided to get revenge for being ignored just a while ago.

So, he just turned to look at the girls that seemed to be deep in thought before moving towards one of the doors then stopping just in front of it.

"What are you gals doing? Didn't you want to finish this exam early?" Said Kaizen a small smirk barely visible on his face.

Hearing what he was saying, both girls stopped thinking for a moment before turning towards him. Then, Areum shouted first, "Don't you dare enter that door!" While Kyong said, "If you want to die, go do it alone, don't drag us into it!"

His smile becoming wider, Kaizen just looked at their eyes which showed a hint of anxiousness before replying, "Well, of course I don't want to die. Still, I want to pass this exam, and since I have figured out that this is the right door, I will of course walk through it. Unless you can prove that any other door is the correct one, I will walk thorough this one."

This made both girls even more anxious, and even a bit angry at Kaizen. Areum just pointed at another door and said, "I can sense it, that door is the right one, so, don't you dare just walk through that one."

"So, you are sure that the door you pointed to is the right one, is that it?" Said Kaizen, his smirk becoming a bit more prominent.

"Yes!" Shouted Areum, "So don't you dare take another step."

"Then, it is fine if I pass through the door that you pointed out, right?" Said Kaizen quickly approaching the other door.

"Wait, no! Since I pointed it out, I should naturally enter it first. Do not walk through it right now." Said Areum blushing a bit from both anger and embarrassment as she just guessed the door to try to stop Kaizen from acting rashly.

Meanwhile, Kyong also afraid of Kaizen doing something rashly said, "That is right trash, no way you can be allowed to pass before us. So, just stay put till we reach there."

Hearing the insult, Kaizen thought it was time to end this , and so, he quickly ran to the door he talked about in the beginning, then crossing it before any of the two girls could catch him.

*Clap**Clap**Clap*

Just as Kaizen passed through the door, Hansung Yu started to clap before smiling and saying, "Congratulations, you have passed the test."

"What?" Shouted both girls who almost fell down in their attempt to stop Kaizen from crossing through the door.

"We have just passed the test; didn't I say that this was the right door? Now, let's go, didn't the both of you say that you didn't want to wait for too long?" Said Kaizen, his face showing a relaxed smile as he felt quite good at being able to take his revenge for their behavior against him in such a way while wanting to avoid having the girls hear the explanation of this test from the director.

Both girls deadpanned for a bit, before blushing slightly out of embarrassment for their previous actions.

Then, just as if nothing had happened, Areum shamelessly said, "Of course, I knew all along that this was the right door. Before, I was just testing you to see if you would be able to discover the answer on your own."

While Kyong nodded to her words as she said, "That's right, don't go around thinking that someone like you could be smarter than the members of one of the ten great families."

Following that, both girls passed through the door while thinking about their previous actions as the blush in their faces stayed for a few more seconds.

"Interesting." Said Hansung Yu as a sly smile appeared on his face after all three of them had left.

After getting through the door, a waiting room with a white floor, blue walls, and a beige colored sofa that extended throughout the entire periphery of the room only leaving the places near the doors empty came to their sight.

Kaizen, being the first of the three to cross the door just went to take a sit on top of the sofa near the farthest corner of the room. While, both girls just took a seat on the sofas in the other corners as no one else was there other than them. Thus, not wanting to talk to each other, all three of them stayed quite while waiting.

After around, fifteen minutes, another team came in, but they also stayed quiet. And so, as the other teams started to come and interact with each other, Kaizen, was not able to find any opportunities to talk to anyone due to his awkwardness in these kinds of situations.

Finally, after three hours had passed, the last team came in, and followed by them, both Lero Ro and Yellowy came in too.

"Did you have enough rest? Regulars? Haha I came here with very good news." Said Lero Ro with a smile on his face.

"Good news?" Asked one of the regulars.

"Yeah! I talked with the test director before I cam here, and he told us to give you a bonus game!" Said Lero Ro with his left arm raised above his waist.

"Sorry, but it is not good for us to have any extra tests!" Said Shibisu with a tired look.

"I am sorry to hear that. The bonus game has nothing to do with the tests. It is up to each individual team to choose whether to play the bonus game. There is no penalty if you don't participate." Said Lero Ro calmly.

"But the winner of this bonus game gets to pass the final test of this floor. They get the right to go straight to the next floor." He said with a smirk as he got the attention of every regular in the room.

"The right to got to the next floor. Then what about the remaining tests?" Said Khun with a surprised expression.

"They don't have to take them. But, that luck to go to the next floor goes only to one team." Answered Lero Ro.

"Wow, that is a huge advantage! It is a big chance. So, what is the bonus game?" Said another bewildered regular.

"This game is called the crown game. I will explain the details to you when we get to the game spot." Said Lero Ro before waving his hands for the regulars to follow him.

Afterwards, Lero Ro led them to a room containing an array that was able to transmit all of the regulars to a big circular arena.

The arena had a golden yellow floor and walls. In its middle, there was a brown throne at least big enough for five people to sit on next to each other. And, surrounding it, there were many yellow rooms with open bars in them.

Upon reaching it, Lero Ro started to explain, "Now that you have all been transmitted to this spot, I will explain the crown game to you! In short, the crown game is a game to steal the crown. The team that holds this crown at the last moment wins the game."

Then, he seated on yellow stool before continuing, "It might seem simple, but the rules are a bit complicated. First is the time limit. A game consists of five rounds and each round is ten minutes long. Only five teams can participate each round. And the team that possesses the crown at the end of each round becomes the winning team and proceeds to the next round."

"In the next round, four new teams and the winning team from the previous round will compete for the crown. The true winning team will be the team that has the crown at the end of the fifth round."

"For your information, if you want to participate in the game, press the red buzzer at the entrance of each of your rooms. Only five teams can participate, and they will be chosen on a first come, first served basis. If several teams press the buzzer, the team that has participated the most will get the chance to participate."

"But there is a way to finish the game early. That is to sit on the throne wearing the crown before the five minutes is up. The round automatically ends the moment someone sits on the throne. And the team with a member sitting on the throne becomes the winning team of the round. However, some movement will be restricted"

"If there was a winning team at the end of the previous round, that team may keep the crown. But at least one team member must stay seated on the throne, wearing the crown. If the crown wearer comes off the throne or loses the crown, that team will be eliminated from the test. And if another team takes the crown and sits on the throne, that team wins the round." Explained Lero Ro.

"Well, although there are a lot of rules and limitations, the point is that the team with the crown at the end of the last round is the winner. Don't overthink it. You just have to steal the crown." Said Lero Ro with resolute eyes as he placed the crown on top of his head.

"Oh, and one more thing. Another team from another test spot will be participating. It is a long story. Well then! Check the details in the instruction book next to the buzzer. Now, let's start the game!" Said Lero Ro as he placed the crown on the throne in the middle of the arena.

Afterwards, all teams each went to one room before the game was about to start.
