THE UNNECESSARY WORLD (9 SKY)

"Yawn..." Both Bell and Marc woke up, their bodies feeling the strain from a night spent sleeping on the hard ground and against the tree trunk. Bell, looking around with a tired expression, suddenly jumped in surprise and slapped himself. "Shi! How could I have fallen asleep so easily?! I should have kept my guard up," he scolded himself. Although Bell and Marc had accepted Juro as their teacher, Bell still didn't fully trust him and was only going along to gather information.

Juro smirked and said, "Hoh... have you two had a great sleep?" Bell and Marc merely looked at him with tired eyes. "Alright, let's get going, heh," Juro declared. Both Bell and Marc stood up, looking around their surroundings. They were confused, realizing that the forest looked different from the one they had camped in the night before. They asked Juro if they were in a different forest since they couldn't see anyone from last night.

Juro explained that they had left very early because they all had important tasks ahead of them. Just as Bell and Marc were about to move, their stomachs grumbled loudly, causing them to feel embarrassed. Juro chuckled, smiled, and handed each of them a cooked chicken leg. Bell and Marc fell back onto the ground, their butts hitting the dirt, as they received the enormous chicken legs, it's the size of their hands, even tho it wasn't really big to adults it's big to kids since they have a small figure. Marc had never seen or held so much meat in his life. Marc exclaimed with drool in his mouth, "Woah..." He was completely captivated, forgetting everything else, and turned to his back, smiling, "Hey Mai, May! call your broth....." as he was about to call for his siblings. His smile slowly transformed into a pained, soft expression.

Bell and Juro looked away, their heads lowered, and the forest fell into silence. After a few minutes of eating, Bell and Marc regained their energy and were ready to continue their journey to the kingdom of Nielism.

As they followed the path toward the kingdom, Bell purposefully stepped on any insects he could find, absorbing their dark mana and strengthening himself. Marc, on the other hand, appeared determined to reach the kingdom, his hatred burning stronger than ever. Sensing the somber atmosphere, Juro spoke up, "Look at the sky. Can you two tell me the color of the sky?"

Both Bell and Marc looked confused for a moment before answering, "Blue."

Juro clicked his tongue and replied, "Nay... it wasn't always this blue." Juro began to recount past events as they continued walking.

Juro: It wasn't always this blue. Back then, the sky was a bright crimson red. Countless battles took place, battles so gruesome that some details are even prohibited from being spoken. But all those wars and fights were caused by a group of people whose specific and actual names remain unknown. They all had different names from different nations and countries, but their true identities were shrouded in mystery. They were so powerful that even the heavens and hell took notice. Many mythical beings were revealed to be true, and both 𝒕𝒉𝒆 7 𝑯𝒆𝒂𝒗𝒆𝒏𝒍𝒚 𝑽𝒊𝒓𝒕𝒖𝒆𝒔 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒕𝒉𝒆 7 𝑫𝒆𝒂𝒅𝒍𝒚 𝑺𝒊𝒏𝒔 focused their attention on that small group. And the one leading that powerful group was none other than--...

As Juro was about to continue, their conversation was abruptly interrupted by the sound of a fast-moving carriage. "Woaaahh!" both Bell and Marc exclaimed, swiftly dodging out of its path. They were taken aback by the sight of the carriage, painted white but splattered with what appeared to be blood. Bloody handprints marked its exterior.

Juro's eyes narrowed as he observed the carriage, but he resumed walking. However, when he turned around to check on the kids, he saw Marc sprinting after the carriage. Bell, on the other hand, stood still, carefully observing the situation.

"Hey, aren't you going to go help out?" Juro asked Bell, confused by his inaction.

Bell calmly replied, "It will flip in 3... 2..."

Juro's confusion deepened. "What?"

Bell continued to count, his voice steady, "O.n.e."

True to Bell's prediction, the carriage hit a pebble in its path. The person controlling the horses, driven by haste, was forcing them to go at full speed. It was only a matter of time before the carriage would collide with a large rock and flip over.

As the carriage flipped over, Marc swiftly caught up, his heart pounding with a mix of concern and anger. When he finally laid eyes on the person responsible for the chaos, he was met with a shocking sight the coachman had taken he's own life. Shocked and unsettled, Marc turned his attention to the carriage itself.

Meanwhile, Bell and Juro had arrived, their curiosity piqued by the unusual incident. They joined Marc in inspecting the overturned carriage, their eyes drawn to the traces of blood that marred its exterior. With cautious anticipation, they opened the carriage doors, revealing two young girls lying inside. These girls appeared to be around the same age as Bell and Marc, but what struck them the most was the realization that the girls were of royal family, hailing from a different kingdom altogether.

Bell's frustration surfaced, as he had always avoided interactions with royalty during his past life. Such encounters often brought about complications and unwanted attention. Nevertheless, his focus shifted as the two girls slowly regained consciousness, their gazes blurry as they tried to make sense of their surroundings.

As the girls' vision slowly cleared, they examined Marc's and Bell's faces with intrigue. Their hands instinctively reached out, attempting to touch the both Bell's and Marc's faces as they voiced their bewildered question, "Angels?"

Bell and Marc exchanged confused glances, unsure of how to respond. They gently took hold of the girls' hands, pulling them away from their faces, as both Marc and Bell felt uncomfortable about the girls' actions.

One of the girls grumbled, "ugh", her hand instinctively moving to her head as a headache set in, likely a result of the carriage accident. Concerned for their well being, Bell and Marc guided the girls to sit on the soft grass, offering them a moment to recover. As their vision gradually sharpened, the girls shifted their gaze upward, marveling at the expanse of the clear blue sky above. And then looking in their surroundings, they finally comprehended the situation they found themselves in.
