How To Get Strong (2)

I need to make a step-by-step guide on how to get strong enough to kill the big goblins.

First, my physical strength is not sufficient. I had to be strong enough to at least overpower the big goblins.

This can be done just by getting levels. I can kill goblins till I reach level 6, and then start to kill the big goblins.

Second, having a high level is not enough; I need fighting experience. I will obviously get fighting experience from the small goblins.

But sparring against Lee Min-ho is key to further refining my swordsmanship.

Third, there is a need to learn how to use the bow. What if I can't fight a monster in melee range? What do I do then?

That's why I also need to learn the bow so I can shoot from a greater distance.

I can't learn magic as it requires me to use my extra stat points. And even then, I still don't know any magic.

I have seen the other players shoot fireballs and ice magic, but that was because of their skills.

I, for one, do not have any skill at all except 'Perfect Clear'.

After thinking about it for so long, the angel appeared. The immense pressure also came down on me at the same time.

I forgot about the pressure that the wolf also had. That is very revelant, because I could follow all these steps of the plan.

And then be affected by the wolf's aura, making me unable to move.

I added another step to my plan: get better at fighting against the pressure.

It was like the pressure was forcing me not to move. But it's not physical; it's more of a mental thing.

I tried to move any part of my body, but I could only move my head slightly.

After the angel dropped the weapons, and disappeared. I followed the exact same steps to get Lee Min-ho to teach me.

We sparred a little and it still ended up being my loss.

After practicing for 3 hours, I felt something different. It was like I kind of intuitively knew what I was doing wrong.

The sword also felt lighter at the same time. I was very confused, so I stopped what I was doing and checked my status window.

[Name: Taeho Kim] [Level: 4]

[Age: 21]

[Stats]

Endurance: 8.8 (8)+

Agility: 8.8 (8) +

Strength: 8.8 (8)+

Magic: 0 +

Mana: 0 +

[Stat points: 3]

[Skills]

- Perfect Clear[X]

- Swordsmanship[F]

I saw something shocking. My stats were 8.8, and at the bottom of my status window, a new skill was there.

I couldn't believe it and started to tremble. I clicked on the skill to read the description.

- Swordsmanship[F]

- You have a basic understanding of the sword, and when equipping a sword, your stats increase by 10%.

That wasn't the shocking part. Yes, a 10% increase to my physical stats is great, and if we factor in the understanding of the sword.

It could even be a 20% total power increase compared to before I had the skill.

The most shocking part was that I could learn skills. I had no idea that was possible, I thought the only way to get stronger was through levels and battle experience.

I tried to think of how long I must have used the sword. It had probably been around a week since I came to this tower.

But I only seriously began to actively learn how to wield the sword these last few regressions.

If I can learn skills, it changes the way I get stronger tremendously.

What if it was possible to stack different skills together? Like, if I had a sword skill and a bow skill that were both F rank, would my stats increase by 20%?

I wanted to test how strong my new skill was, so I wanted to spar with Lee Min-ho.

My stats were around 9, which is only one less than Lee Min-ho's. We should be evenly matched except that he has a skill that is A rank and I have a skill that is F rank.

"Lee Min-ho let's spar again, I think I improved".

"Sure, I don't mind". Lee Min-ho said with a relaxed posture.

We readied our sheaths and prepared to fight each other. Before we started, I checked my status window to see if a sheath counts as a sword.

It luckily does, which made sense; otherwise, there would've been no way for Lee Min-ho to be faster than me without the buff.

He charged against me trying to hit my side.

Clack!

I blocked the strike, and we quickly exchanged sword moves against each other.

Clack!

Clack!

Other people started to look because of the commotion.

While I was trying my hardest, Lee Min-ho had a relaxed face, showing no signs of sweat.

I tried to add more power to my strikes, but he kept blocking them.

At one point, I lost my concentration, and he quickly parried and disarmed my sword.

"Sigh, it's my loss again". I sighed as I admitted defeat.

"Don't be downspirited; we have only sparred three times.

And your swordsmanship is much better now than 3 hours ago". He reassured me.

Three times my ass, we have sparred much more than that. And every single time, it has been my loss.

Well, obviously, this Lee Min-ho wouldn't know that. But it still hurts me that he thinks I have only been practicing for 3 hours.

I was happy that I got better because of my skill, but I also had to practice for around a week to get to this point.

Now that I know that it is possible to get skills if you train enough.

I suddenly got a lot more motivated. But I wanted to know if I could stack my skills together.

Because then the girl with the multiple weapons would actually have a reason to walk with them.

I went to the pile of weapons to pick up a new weapon to train with.

The weapon that I picked up was the bow, as I could find the answer to my question and at the same time complete step 3 of my plan.

I also picked up a quiver to equip, as I would obviously need an arrow to shoot.

I went near the edge of the field to get closer to the trees. I then took my dagger to make an X mark on the tree.

I counted my steps and walked around 10 meters away. The bow in my hand was long; I think it was around 60–70 inches.

The weight wasn't that heavy, probably because of my stats, which were almost twice those of the average person.

I checked to see if just having the sword in the sheath and not equipped would still give the buff.

My stats were still 8.8, so just having your sword close in reach was enough to give the stat buff.

I started shooting the arrows towards the trees, and some of them hit the tree and others just missed.

"This is kind of fun". I said to myself, knowing that I would be doing this routine for a long time.

I picked up the arrows and continued this process till sunset.

After the sunset, I took my dagger out and stabbed myself in the eye.

I stood up and ran to where the pile of weapons would drop. The angel appeared again and I fought against the pressure.

Moving my head slightly more than last time, I realized that it would take a long time to be able to move without restraints.

I picked up a sword from the pile of weapons.

This time, instead of sparring, I ran to the forest to kill goblins. My idea was that one day I would be killing goblins and the other I would train my skills.

I kill the same four goblins, but instead of ambushing them, I just overwhelm them with my raw stats alone.

There is no need to do tricks or do it in a cheesy way.

Even if they block with their spears, I just cut through them. Because the spears were made out of wood except for the tip,

After fighting against the big goblin, I realized that these goblins were very weak.

It was probably because of my skill and my level up, but I could easily fight against 6-7 goblins at the same time.

I must have killed around 50–60 goblins, but I still didn't level up.

The hard part was not killing them, but finding them.

It would be nice to have a search skill like the man from that middle-aged group.

I know that if I train enough, I can get skills, but how do I even get a search skill?

Where do I even begin?

The sun was setting, and I took my dagger out to stab my eye.
