1 Chapter: He's Alive!

Twenty years ago...

In the middle of the street in the country of the Republic of Korea, the crowd was surrounding two men who were battling.

"Mr Jung Woo! I warn you for the last time. PUT. YOUR. WEAPON. DOWN.! "The king ordered the man standing in front of him

Jung Woo was panting; his shirt was a bit ripped off from back as he had been fighting for quite long now, making himself fall or being dragged along with the ground numerous times due to the powerful attacks of King.

Jung Woo was a man who used to be trusted by the king. The king who had been fighting him didn't want to be harsh on him. Both the king and the queen knew that the lessons about magic were taught to him by his own wife. As a result, both of them had a little bit of pity for him.

Those people who were surrounding them had no idea to where those two men belonged to. But, according to them, those men seemed extremely normal except the fact that instead of any weapon awry magical wands were being used.

The man standing in front of Jung Woo, had broad shoulders, doe-shaped eyes and had some beard and moustaches. He was wearing a white imperial uniform who's collar and cuff had works of good and silver making patterns of leaves.

The lady standing beside the king was extremely beautiful, she had mono-lid eyes and her lips were heart-shaped, she was wearing an attire which dated back to that era when the country was under the monarch, a long dress. It had the same colour as that of the King, white.

The Locals surrounding them were afraid to go near, so didn't bother to interfere at all. Everyone had stopped nearby to look at the war which had begun out of the blue. Many whispers were there,

"Oh no! Who are they?"

"The woman looks like she is a queen, look at her clothes."

"Why are they trying to kill this man?"

"Look at the attitude of the man! Where do they belong?"

"They don't reside here, look at them using those wands to attack each other."

With each passing second people were getting curious or were trying to decipher their true identity. The King and Queen along with Jung Woo, on the other hand, were trying to defeat each other.  They wanted Jung Woo to understand how dangerous his plan was for himself and his country while Jung Woo wanted the King to understand how beneficial his plan was for everyone.

"Jung Woo! You shouldn't be here!" The Queen said in a voice full of affection. Her eyes were a bit wet.

She knew Jung Woo as her brother, she can't let him be punished severely.

"I can't back off, I want to achieve what my wife wasn't able to, "Jung Woo declared as he looked at the king with his eyes full of rage.

"Mr Jung Woo! Don't compel me to do something unfortunate today, you still have a life ahead to live. Put down your weapon and come with us." The king finally declared as he made himself ready to counter-attack each attack of his opponent.

He stood straight and lifted his one hand making an arc while the other was straight pointing at Jung Woo, holding a wand so tightly.

Jung Woo scoffed, he was not at all interested in fighting with his King, instead, he thought of him as a fool who didn't know what was good for their empire.

No one knew what he was up to until his caught a four year old girl who was holding his father's hand while looking at Jung Woo with confusion.

"Let's see how you'll act, she is not one of your people." Jung Woo held the girl from the back pointing his wand on her temple.

"Daddy!"

Cried the girl as she struggled in the grip of Jung Woo.

"Stop!" The King yelled but it all went in vain.

The kid's father ran to rescue her daughter but instead, Jung Woo turned towards him as he stood up.

"Nerui rumpebantur"

He yelled and soon the man had a nosebleed as he fell on the ground.

"Daddy!" Cried the small girl again.

And "Noo!'?" The king and the queen as the man bled to death.

The girl ran towards her dad as her eyes got flooded by tears.

"Your shrill voice irritates me, you filthy girl!!" Jung Woo yelled and approached the girl again.

But before he could do anything the Queen cried,

"Jung Woo stop!" And the King yelled,

"Ut se morium!!"

And a fiery red ray came out of the king's wand like a lightning bolt which hit Jung Woo on the head. Jung Woo fell on the floor and before he closed his eyes for forever he whispered,

"Long live the king and the queen!" He scoffed as he hit the ground after speaking out his last words. His saying looked more like a curse, and, soon black clouds covered the whole sky and a Lightning bolt strike in the sky followed by a big thud sound.

Everyone present there gasped and shuddered as they witnessed two deaths consecutively and a sudden and strong change in the atmosphere. The King sighed in grief as he had no other option while the queen covered her mouth with her hands as a drop of tear collapsed from her eyes.

"Sir, we should go now. We have already gathered too much attention here." The driver dressed in a black suit whispered to the king. The king slightly nodded and went back to their car with the queen.

As the driver drove the half from the city fog started to emerge out of nowhere. A car came all of sudden in front of them making the driver turn their car a bit to avoid any kind of accident. But, unfortunately, the fog had covered the whole road and one of the wheels of the car bumped into a big rock making it flip and hit an electric pole.

The car coming from the other side was of a couple, they stopped as they knew it was their fault. They went towards the car, only to find everyone dead. It seemed like Jung Woo's curse didn't go in vain, it took the life of the king and the queen, but also of the driver as the shreds of glass stuck in his neck.

The man from the couple quickly phoned the ambulance but soon his wife standing beside him tugged his arm and said,

"Honey, he's alive." as she saw him struggling to get out of the car being half unconscious.

Unfortunately, Jung Woo's curse was only for the king and the queen, because who had known that in the trunk of that black car was a five-year-old child struggling to live...
