Watching as the light from the explosion dissipated, Sato frowned as he had this instinctive feeling that the attack had missed.
This sounded absurd, if not impossible, after all the group had attacked just a tad slower after the tentacle had attacked. They had even launched their spells and attacks just as the tentacle was about to make a retreating move so, whatever his behind the layer of darkness should have gotten hit; yet, it wasn't.
"Stay alert!" Sato immediately notified the team.
Just before his voice could fade away, Xue Yan's followed next.
"1 o'clock."
As Katsuo was about to make the appropriate move to handle the assault, Fudo's voice was added to the mix.
"12 o'clock."
Two angles?!
There was no need for anyone to say the obvious as, by this time, everyone in the team had realised that the monster was attacking from two different angles, touching on the limits of their defensive power.
