8 Enemies at Door
At the centre of a galaxy, there exists the Nine Skies and Ten Lands. From the Ten Lands, the Desolate Land is the last in the ranking.
The northern region of the Desolate land is covered by the Great Forest. It almost covers ninty percent of the northern region. It is home to fierce beasts and legendary tribes.
The Caldian Empire is established right below the Great Forest. It has existed for more than 1000 years. At the border of the Great Forest and the Caldian Empire, there exists a small kingdom.
The Nightfall Kingdom.
It was literally a small kingdom as it only has a small city under it's command. It is also a vassal force of the Caldian Empire.
City of Night was the only city under the Nightfall Kingdom as well as it's capital city. But it had a great strategic location.
Three sides of the city, the north, east and west were guarded by a huge mountain range. Even the smallest mountains in this range were more than a thousand metres high.
As for the southern side, five hundred metres away from the main gate runs the great Blue Dragon River. It runs from east to west. The Blue Dragon River has a width of hundred metres.
The only way to cross the Blue Dragon River is the bridge that was made a century ago. This bridge was named Dragon Bridge after the river.
At this moment on the southern side of the Blue Dragon River, opposite to the City of Night, a huge black mass could be seen from the sky.
Upon closer look, one would realise that it were thousands of black tents that were erected from the ground.

On the southern wall of City of Night.
Ray looked at those thousands of tents with solemn expression. He then looked towards a middle-aged soldier. This middle-aged soldier was named Hills. He was an experienced soldier who was born in City of Night. He was also a great strategist and a general-like figure.
Ray asked him. "How many do you think are there ?"
Hills looked towards those thousand black camps with the same solemn expression. He slowly spoke up after some consideration. "If my experience is real then there are atleast about ten thousand men. But it is impossible for the nearby kingdoms to bring such a huge army."
"Above all, we are at war with the neighbouring two empires. So most of their armies must be sent to assist the Caldian Empire. Even if they bend together, they cannot attack us with an army of more than two thousand men."
"So there is only one possibility."
Hills took a deep breath and continued with a grave expression.
"It belongs to an enemy empire."
Ray already knew that they were in trouble. But he didn't realise how big the trouble was. But now listening to Hills' analysis, he knew exactly how huge the trouble was.
"Okay Hills. Keep an eye on them. I will return to my castle."
"Yes, Your Majesty!"
Ray returned back to his castle. After using the black orb, Ray was teleported to this city. Not just that, he even became the king out of nowhere.
But before he could be happy, he received the news that an unknown enemy was waiting at his door.
Now all his hopes were on Void. It is the only thing that can have him from this crisis.
Ray went to the throne room and sat on his throne. After he felt his body relax a bit, he looked at a young girl sitting near him. She looked beautiful and had a noble aura around her.
She was a fallen princes, Princes Shiya. Similar to Ray's kingdom, her kingdom was also a vassal force under the Caldian Empire. But it was destroyed few weeks ago by the forces of an enemy empire. After fleeing north, she reached here.
Ray, seeing her talent in managing civil affairs, made her the Head of Ministers.
Ray spoke in his mind as he retracted his gaze. "Void, I may need your help, you know."
He immediately got a reply in his mind. "Sure. But I might need energy if I want to help you." Hearing Void's pleasant voice, Ray calmed down. He then looked at Shiya, who appeared nervous, probably due to the enemy at door.
Ray spoke up slowly. "Shiya, bring me all the energy stones that are in the treasury right now."
Shiya appeared shocked but she still nodded and said. "Yes, Your Majesty!"
She bowed and left the hall. After half an hour, she returned with several servants in tow. They were carrying several huge chests filled with energy stones.
The servants left quickly and Shiya, seeing them exit, said. "Your Majesty, there are about five hundred refined energy stones and about two thousand raw energy stones."
Ray nodded his head and said to Shiya. "You may leave." Shiya nodded her head and left. Once she left, Ray couldn't help but smile widely.
The reason why Ray was glad to become the king of this kingdom was that there were two mines hidden in those mountain ranges. Both of the mines were already discovered.
One was an energy stone mine and the other was obsedian ore mine. Both of them were high level resources.
Ray walked near the chests and asked Void. "What do I do now?"
As Ray finished his question, a black cube appeared out of his body. It was Void. Suddenly, the energy stones transformed into a light and entered into the cube.
Void circled around Ray and spoke in an excited voice. "Now, my true body can come into existence." Ray appeared excited as well. He quickly urged Void to do so.
But Vold just said. "It already came into existence." Ray couldn't help but let out a 'huh' sound.

At the same time, high above the City of Night.
A black spaceship appeared breaking and deforming the laws of space. It's sheer size already covered an area of thousand square metres. It was 1000 metres long, 200 metres wide and 50 metres in hight.
But no one on the ground noticed it's arrival. It appeared just like a shadow.
