40 I'm Rich? Impersonation?

Gold! Hundreds, no...thousands of Gold! William couldn't count the amount of Gold in the corner. He didn't care about the rest, so William dumped out all the Gold and counted each piece.

--Upgraded Title: +50 Potential Points

Not long after the last upgrade message, William finished counting out the Gold Coins. 'I now have 5082 Gold, that's ten times the amount I needed for a Cultivation Technique!' William was excited.

If he could gain access to Cultivation with the benefits from his Magic Talent, William would become nearly unstoppable! Even the powerful individuals, "Supreme Left" and "Unbreakable Right" that he read in the library at Thin Creek Village didn't sound as strong as William. One of which only had a single Element!

I wonder how strong a Cultivator is with an S Rank Magic Affinity. Will couldn't help but imagine someone destroying mountains with a single spell.

He looked through the Space Ring some more. There were hundreds of little blue rocks, clay dolls, and many other things he didn't recognize, so William used the Ask Function to find out through the System.

-138 Mana Stones: Used as currency in the Cultivation World. Mana or Spiritual Qi can be absorbed from Mana Stones, but they would lose their quality and become like normal rocks.

-3 Broken Advanced Array Puppets: A standard item purchased by Cultivators from the Array Hall. An Array Puppet has strength equivalent to the Runes inscribed on it, plus bonus combat power equal to the Magic Affinity of the Array Master that created it.

-Ancient Family Rhio Token: A token of the Rhio Ancient Family. It was given to this Cultivator as part of a deal to train the Rhio Family Head on Space Magic. Useless to the Host. Might contain a tracking device.

William didn't like the idea of a tracking device in his items, so he used Fire Magic to destroy the token. He continued looking through the items.

-Journal of Space Mage Fermus's Life: Depicts Fermus's Adventures, feats, and some of his deepest secrets.

"Boring!" William did not plan to read the journal. He cleared out the remainder of the Space Ring, then placed everything back. The ring belonged to him now, so William planned to use it as such.

William was given a nice surprise when he found that the Space Ring had a storage size of 50 cubic meters, enough to store dozens of Magical Beast corpses if needed.

William exited his room, and asked for directions to a Cultivation shop, which turned out to be just down the road from where he was currently. He exited the Array Hall and walked down the street, not bothering to switch out of his robes for now.

Some people gave William odd looks as he traveled. "Who is that kid? Doesn't he know that impersonating an Array Master is a serious crime?"

"Heh, what an idiot. Leave him be, I want to see his face when the guards beat him black and blue." a rough looking man laughed.

A group of six nearby guards quickly noticed the situation. Two guards were sent to confront the young man. They flew at low altitude in his direction, attracting further stares.

The rough looking man also noticed the situation. "This is going to be great. I hope the kid tries to fight."

William noticed the guards flying in his direction with Life Sense. He turned around to face the duo, but didn't move.

Both guards were males who looked to be in their thirties. The younger one stepped forward and spoke to William directly. "Those are the robes of the Array Hall. Do you claim to be an Array Master?"

William realized what was happening. In his previous world, impersonation was something greatly frowned upon, or even punishable by law in certain cases. This seemed to be true even in the Cultivation world.

"Yes, I am." he didn't explain further.

"I know every Array Master in the Array Hall. You do not look like any of them. Are you saying that I do not know the Array Hall?" the guard became aggressive.

What is happening? He could have just asked for my documents. This might be a good opportunity though. William smiled inwardly.

"I think you have a shallow understanding of the Array Hall." William encouraged the guard's behavior. He wanted to see how far he could push the guard before something happened.

William couldn't sense the guard's Cultivation, but the pressure wasn't very heavy. William assumed he was at most in the Foundation Establishment Realm.

The other guard stepped in at this moment. "That's enough. Impersonation is against the rules of Blue Moon City, come with us quietly."

"So you don't know the Array Hall and you still accuse me of impersonation? No I am not coming with you." William tried out his acting skills on the guards.

"If you won't come quietly, then accept my fireball!" the younger guard yelled as a red glow appeared in his hands. He threw it at close range towards William without any warning.

William snorted at the fireball. It barely had the strength of his Fire Magic when it was at C Rank Affinity, posing no threat to William's current state. He tried a new spell he just thought of, using his superior Fire Affinity to steal the energy of his opponent's fireball.

The process was slow on his first try, but quite successful. The fireball that would previously kill a Liffox in one hit was reduced to a cinder that wouldn't even burn one's skin. The cinder bounced harmlessly off William's shoulder and fell to the ground.

Both guards were dumbfounded. The younger guard felt that his spell had been absorbed, rather than destroyed or countered.

The spectators were even more confused. The rough looking man thought William would be reduced to ashes by the fireball since he had no Cultivation, but something unbelievable happened.

The other four guards noticed the situation and all rushed over. They became more serious, as none of them knew how William defended against the fireball.

William stopped to survey his new opponents. They all looked to be at the same strength except for their leader who was probably in the Core Formation Realm. William still didn't plan to correct the misunderstanding, as this was a great chance to earn more Potential Points and train himself.

The guards began throwing spells in tandem. Four of the guards used the Fire Element, which was of little surprise, but the leader was an expert of the Light Element. He conjured light spears that flew at William at insane speeds.

William made use of his reflexes talent to dodge the first light spear, then moved to the side to dodge a second. The leader was appalled, as no one in the same Realm had ever dodged his light spears, yet this kid with no Cultivation was able to do so with ease.

William wasn't idle while dealing with the Cultivators' attacks. He secretly created an Intermediate Array of Speed that only affected himself, then lowered his natural speed so it looked like nothing had changed. He did the same with Strength and Magic Power, hoping to catch the guards by surprise.

The leader of the guards had gauged William's speed and prepared an enormous cylinder-shaped light spell, hoping to make it impossible for William to dodge. He told his companions to step back, then threw the light spell with William in the direct center.
