Scientific Travel

As the Jackal's rampaged through the place, more and more spider-people were spreading thin separating into two groups. With the spider-people, I was more familiar with going after Miles Morales, alongside some others as well while the others were busy trying to pile on my constructs. Forcing them to divide once more, forming a third Jackal to help them out.

They began to spread out a bit, separating the massive group of spider-people into smaller groups so they could better control the situation. They then began leading away in various directions away from what I assumed was the dimensional travel room or whatever area they called the place where they sent anomalies back to their original universe. Although I would probably still have to deal with the various forms of A.I. inside the facility it shouldn't be a major problem. Well, there was at least one current problem, what to do with the captured Spider-Woman.

Then a simple but always highly effective idea came to mind, and I manifested a large blunt object resembling a baseball bat. She took one look at me and immediately knew what was going to happen.

"You're going to knock me out aren't you?"

I nodded and got a big swing ready.

"Yeah sorry about this, if we ever meet again well I 'll give a proper apology."

and swung down hard, knocking them out cold with their body fully going out cold. Sighing I dematerialized the bat put her in a more gentle laid-down position and checked her heartbeat, making sure I didn't accidentally kill her. I was happy to hear the gentle thumps of the heart going at a steady rate. Going through the hole, I gently floated to near the ground. Traveling across the place, it was nice or it was until I and Miles trashed it that is.

I could still hear the various Spider-people fighting, and looking around I saw that all of them were gone. So I gently placed the Spider-woman down in a comfortable position and quickly left before she could wake up. It was refreshing to not be involved in the fighting, but they would still probably view me as a villain. Going through the place, it was calming, the fact that everything was so quiet. I decided to create a few clones to scout the place and figure out where the interdimensional prisoners/portal room was.

Sending them out, I put the JAckals viewpoint screen back up and saw that one or two were pinned to the ground, with the others following suit. Sighing I just pinched my temples frustrated that they were getting captured so soon. But somewhere in my mind, I should've expected this, after all, I gave Jackal of limit of 10 clones. Eventually, my clones came back, each with a different path to the portal room. So I took the most straightforward approach.

Which was quite a literal straight path towards, or at least as straight as an elevator ride could be. Going through the place, I made a few hands grabbing various pieces of equipment and items, some clearly completed and others were probably just random parts for something else. Putting it all in separate containers, make sure to numerically label them alongside the letter A.

It was interesting to see these various pieces of tech all lined up together, each one with a specific purpose and I recognized a few of the parts as well. They were pieces of the dimensional stabilizers or watches as the spider-people referred to them. These would make excellent study materials on how various forms of dimensional stabilization worked and what type of energy it used to perform such a process.

Then I saw a light blue figure of a girl, without a mask and curly hair as well. Obviously, they were only a holographic figure probably transmitting from another dimension. These types of situations were never fun, for either side well maybe the villain or whoever the bad guy was at the time. Looking at them, I could they were shifting through various hairstyles while working on something. Floating towards them slowly, I spoke in a more regretful tone than usual.

"Honestly knocking people out, really just solidifies that I'm the bad guy in these situations but what a guy to do."

Before they could respond, I sent waves of hands towards them capturing them, when they made another hologram. Sighing because I knew exactly where this was going, I created several of my own who in turn created much weaker hands.

"Who come man, I mean making copies is my thing."

Both sides began clashing, fighting one another a small drone came over and began to scan me, probably to figure out which dimension we came from. I grabbed hold of it and began to tear it apart, piece by piece putting them in their own box. I then used far more energy probably dissipating the Jackals in the process as I saw my real prize. The gigantic metal spider is designed to send anomalies to their original universe.

Then I saw the little A.I. the one Miguel aka Spider-man 2099 popped into existence, probably sensing its equipment being taken apart. So I decided to take the time to talk to someone who wasn't trying to fight me as a gigantic version of myself was completed only with a few extra arms to help tear the giant spider apart, alongside a giant box labeled A20.

"You know for an A.I. I thought you'd eventually have a better understanding of the multiverse by now, but well look at you still ignorant of it."

"Although I guess one could never truly understand the multiverse, or as long as you exist in it that is."

She began typing, activating several pieces of technology for what I had no idea as I wasn't a super genius. in fact, she probably already informed Miguel of my presence which would make for interesting conversation once they actually got here. Then I started to notice something, something in the background moving around. Then I realized who it was and started laughing, opening up a small portal.

"You know Miles, I met another version of you the past version of yourself or maybe I've already met you, eh who really knows."

"If theirs one thing I know, however, it is when to give someone a fighting chance, so good luck."

I then sent the portal spiraling towards them, taking a  few of my clones out in the process as his camo lifted up and I saw the clearly confused face on him as he disappeared within the portal.

"Hopefully that goes where he needs to, would really hate to have to clean that up later."

As usual, I don't own any of the characters or franchises in this book, and only own the story and if you enjoyed reading please leave a few powerstones and write a review to show your support.
