Suddenly, a small ball of light appeared above a corpse. After a while, it entered the body in the middle of the corpse's eyebrows.
No one noticed the ball of light nor the corpse since it was in a secluded place near the trash area.
A small groaning sound could be heard in the mouth of the body. After a while, the body shivered and started to stand up.
Luckily no one saw the phenomenon of a body being revived. If it was, a big commotion will take place on the whole continent. It was impossible to revive a dead body if you were not, at least, have a level of above 200 and have a hidden job called "Reanimar Sacedorte" which only 1 out of billion people have. Kite abruptly stood up and after a second an intense pain flooded his mind. He actually coughed up blood and fainted.
It was nighttime when Kite woke up for the second time. He didn't immediately stand up because the pain earlier caused terror to bloom in his heart. The pain was imaginable and it was the first time he felt like this.
After waking up, the pain still lingered in his head. He turned his head sideways and discovered that he was lying in a pool of blood.
He noticed a red blinking dot in the sky after focusing it for just a second a flood of information appeared in his mind.

The warning lasted for a minute before it slowed down.
'What? HP critically low? What's happening.' Kite can't still describe what in the world was occurring right now.
He was about to fall asleep in his bed when his eyes started blacking out and after opening it again he found himself so tired and lifeless. Even his bed was no longer comfortable.
When he tried to stand up to check what was happening, an intense pain that was undescribable flowed in his mind and he fell unconscious again. And then when he woke up he received a ton of messages in his mind. It sounded like someone was talking in front of him but there was no one at the same time.
"God, it hurts so much!" He shouted in a hoarse voice.
Kite wanted to fall asleep again when the message appeared once more in his mind but this time a piece of additional information was added.

System advises to take a health potion or go to the nearest life fountain!
Death is near!? Kite can't believe what he heard just now. Health potion? Life fountain? What the hell is that? Do you think this is a fucking game!? He cursed the voice in his head. But before he can vent his anger, the pain in his mind intensified. Another message was heard once more.

Suddenly a buzzing sound can be heard and after that, a white arrowhead pointed in a direction. Kite looked in the direction and saw a small fountain that has a small amount of water. It was about 20 meters away.
This life fountain was basically useless; only people at Level 1 to Level 3 can use it. But Kite doesn't know of this not even a simple knowledge in this world.
Kite then had an abrupt epiphany. Unknown voice? An almost dead body? Health potion? Life fountain?

After a minute of crawling, he finally reached the fountain. The fountain was so small that he can reach out for the water below.
After scooping a small amount of water he stopped for a moment. Will he drink it or will he pour it in his wounds?
After a while, he decided to drink it because it hurts so much to move around.
After taking a sip of it, a new message appeared in his head and this time a new screen in front of him generated out of nowhere.

Kite was amazed because he didn't feel anything at all while drinking. Normally he can taste the water and at least feel it flow down through his throat. But whenever he drank water from this fountain, he tasted nothing at all. He also didn't feel full after drinking a lot of fountain water.
He continued drinking until another message appears.

Kite finally stop drinking and stood up. He was astonished when he discovered his body was fully healed. His wounds earlier were gone but his clothes were drenched in sweat and blood. His whole body was full of dirt and he smells like shit, literally.
Kite can't help but frown after checking his own body. He sighed and look at the screen in front of him. This screen contained the message earlier but this time a new set of information appeared on it.

Being in a modern world where he played a ton of RPG games, he understood how important experience points were. Experience points can be described as the core of the game itself. Without it how can you level up? Without leveling up you will not proceed a single step in the game. Without progress, then what's the point of playing the game in the first place?
Kite decided after learning about his situation, that in order to go back to his own world he must first grow stronger. He knew from the start that this system might be unique to himself. A so-called gift for being a transmigrator.

Kite was puzzled at first. He thought that the screen was untouchable but since the system said the word 'click' it must be so. He tapped the confirm button and memories not his own surfaced in his mind.
All people in this world can level up. Only people at the age of 15 can begin their journey on leveling up. They began at level zero and start climbing up. The more you level up, the harder it was to continue growing stronger.
"F*ck!" Kite couldn't help but curse.

"I thought this system was unique only to me. To think everyone has it." He couldn't help but laughed. He was asking for too much if he's the only one with a system.
Kite obtained a basic knowledge of this world in the first memory fragment. He continued sacrificing experience points until the second memory fragment surfaced.

For unknown reasons he didn't even know what the old man's name was. He only called the old man 'grandpa'. He was still a kid back then so he thought that grandpa was his name.
The second fragment he obtained was about his own origin. Luckily this memory fragment was also useful. He thought he will obtain trashy memories like how he first know how to ride a bike or something.
He sacrificed his last remaining experience points and the last memory surfaced in his mind for the last time.
His old self was walking in a dark alleyway to search for food in the trash section when he was attacked. The attacker killed him using a short sword and struck his back. He died after that. But luckily he caught a glimpse of the man before his death. It was an ugly man with disheveled hair. He had a square face and his eyes were bloodshot. This was the man that killed this body he currently has.
"I knew it. An overview of the situation were given to me." He clicked his tounge.
Then after processing these memories, Kite frowned. Why did that man killed him? Of course, it was for experience points!
Although they kill monsters for experience points, you can also earn the same by killing your own kind. Killing was strictly prohibited in the city but since he has no family and living in the slums he was a perfect target. He was only a 16-year-old boy and although he lived by himself in the slums he can't detect nor fight the man because of his low level.
"I must grow stronger!" Kite then left this area and headed to the forest. He must grow powerful.
"Don't worry predecessor. As I obtained your body, I'll definitely avenge your death. That's the least I can do." Kite sighed.
