Chapter 73 - 'Loose change'

"Umm..." Sheryll opened her mouth but didn't know how to reply to Sheyan's questions, The death of these people really didn't matter to her but asking such a question in front of the party involved made her kinda clueless about how to answer.

"I will take your silence as an acquaintance." Sheyan spoke with a sweet smile.

"Kill them." Sheyan turned to pirates and spoke the words with that sweet smile still on his face.

*Swish* *Swush* *Swish*

Instantly all the pirates in the room aimed their guns at the members of Nick's party.

"Wa-wai-wait WAIT SIR! don't kill us." Skull quickly put his hands ahead of him and begged.

"We will give you everything we have, we can tell you everything about Nick too, just don't kill us." Caldas who was lying on the ground also spoke as fast as he could as if his life depended on it well actually his did depended on it.

"No no my dear guest, I will get everything you have only when all of you are dead." Sheyan tutted with his mouth and spoke in a calm voice, like talking about some insignificant thing.

"What are you all waiting for? Will bullets come out of the guns on their own?" Sheyan asked while looking at Pirates.

Pirates chuckled with embarrassment and pulled the trigger of their guns.

*BANG* *BANG* *BANG*

Gunshots rang and all the members of Nick's party became honeycomb or maybe bloodcomb or whatever.

"Okay now that this is done, next thing is to deal with you guys." Sheyan nodded to himself and looked at the members of the Fokke family.

"Lo-Lo-Lord my lord, please show mercy, w-we are just some weak people, we can never bring you even a slight harm, please let us go and we promise we will never appear in front of you again." A female member of the Fokke family called Syrena Fokke wife of Krueger Fokke begged.

Sheryll looked over and heard the words of the members of Fokke family then she turned to Sheyan to see what decision he would make.

Sheyan looked at the members of Fokke family kneeling and begging before turning to Sally, who had been silent all this while.

"What do you say? Mrs. Fokke, should I let them go?" He asked with a smile.

"My Lord, Thank you for allowing me to present my opinion, these people are speaking the truth to my lord, except my late husband and his treasured horse Momore no member of Fokke family is strong and they can never bring any ounce of harm to my lord." Sally replied in a light and humble tone.

"Hmm since Mrs. Fokke says so, then ok, none of you needs to die." Sheyan turned to the members of Fokke family and spoke with a smile.

"Thank you, thankyou my lord for your grace." Members of the Fokke family showed a grateful and relieved expression as they offered their thanks.

"But...." A word from Sheyan took away the color from their faces once again.

"Bu-but but what my lord?" Syrena Fokke asked tentatively.

"How about all of you join my pirate crew, wouldn't that be the best outcome." Sheyan spoke with a big smile.

Fokke family looked stunned for a second but Syrena quickly came out of her stupor and showed a happy expression.

"Thank you for your blessings my lord, thank you for giving us this chance." She spoke with utmost gratefulness.

Other members of Fokke family also echoed with her.

"Good, all of you can go and stand with my subordinates now." Sheyan nodded with a satisfied smile and gestured towards the pirates.

"Yes my lord." Fokke family members replied and quickly got up and stood beside other pirates.

"Okay, now that this matter is solved too, can I have your attention once again miss Sheryll." Sheyan turned to Sheryll and spoke.

"What do you want me to do sir, please speak." Sheryll asked humbly, she has figured by now, this man in front of her seemed kind and gave off a charming aura but he wasn't kind at all rather he was very cunning and indifferent to the lives of other people.

'But why do I feel that he is even more attractive when he is like this?' Sheryll thought to herself as she peeked at Sheyan's face.

"How many members of Nick's party are left on this island?" Sheyan asked directly.

"With Nick gone, and five of them dead there are still two more members left, one is called Chris he is an explosive expert, he helped us in bombing the castle, other one Is called Lil Nick since he got same name as Nick so we call him lil Nick, both of them should be stilll on the island." Sheryll replied.

Sheyan turned to pirates and spoke. "You heard her, go search for these two. 30 people stay here and gather all the corpses in the corridor outside, and the people who are going out to search, don't forget to bring the corpses of guards you kill."

"AYE AYE CAPTAIN!" Pirates replied enthusiastically.

"Captain, can you ask this lady if she has a portrait of these two people, it would be much easier to find them with portraits." Billy stepped forward and spoke to Sheyan.

Sheyan nodded and looked at Sheryll.

"Well, I do have something which can be used as a portrait, just give me a minute." Sheryll replied and took out two papers and a pencil from her nightmare space.

"I got this item during my previous expedition, with this whatever picture I think inside my head will appear on the paper." Sheryll explained to Sheyan.

"That's a pretty handy thing." Sheyan replied and looked at Sheryll as she took hold of the pencil and started to draw on the paper.

In just one minute, she finished completing one portrait and in another minute she completed the second.

"Here you go, sir." Sheryll gave the papers to Sheyan.

Sheyan looked at the paper and saw lifelike portraits of two men. One looked like a cunning monkey with squinty eyes and thin lips while the other one had a chubby face and an honest look on his face.

Sheyan gave them to Billy.

"Now get to work, I want the dead bodies of these two people in the corridor before 2 P.M." Sheyan spoke to the pirates.

"AYE AYE CAPTAIN!" Pirates replied.

"Btw one of you go to those guys staying on Scarlett and give them their guns and tell them to get the scarlett ready, we will be hunting a big fish in the evening." Sheyan spoke again as he took out a block of silvery metal from his pocket and handed it Billy.

Pirates nodded and left the hall quickly, members of the Fokke family also left with them.

Now only Sheyan, Sheryll and Sally remained inside the hall.

"Well that settles everything, Mrs. Fokke shall we visit the treasury now." Sheyan turned to Sally and spoke.

"Yes my Lord, please follow me and if you don't mind my lord then please call me just Sally." Sally bowed curtly and spoke to Sheyan.

"Okay then Sally it is." Sheyan spoke with a light smile.

Sally started to walk towards the door of the hall, Sheyan followed behind her.

After taking two steps, sheyan turned around to look at Sheryll.

"Miss Sheryll, please follow us." He spoke with a smile.

"Yes sir, and sir you don't need to add a miss in front of my name, just Sheryll is fine actually." Sheryll nodded and spoke to Sheyan.

"Haha if you don't mind then okay Sheryll and you can also call me Sheyan instead of sir if you want Sheryll." Sheyan chuckled lightly and said to Sheryll.

Sally who was walking in front frowned when she heard Sheyan say this, just now when she told Sheyan to call her by her name, he just agreed to it and didn't mention anything about letting her call him by his name too but when this invader bitch told Sheyan to call her by her name, Sheyan asked her to call him by just his name too.

'Both of us are prisoners in a sense, then why is there such a big disparity in treatment.' Sally thought and secretly glanced behind to check Sheryll.

'Hmm she is just a brown haired girl, although her breasts are slightly bigger than mine but her face, hairs and demeanor can never be compared with mine.' She thought after looking at Sheryll.

"No no it's fine sir, calling you by your name just doesn't feel right, I feel comfortable with calling you sir." Sheryll replied quickly, the aura Sheyan radiated from all over his body made her feel that he has a very high status and should not be disrespected.

While conversing, Sheyan and Sheryll spotted Sally's small movements very easily because of their high perspective sense but they didn't say anything.

Sheyan slowed down a little to come side by side with Sheryll and turned to her.

"So sheryll, did you join their party?" Sheyan asked.

"Yes sir." Sheryll replied.

"You should leave it, it is possible that Nick might add some difficult conditions for quitting the party if you wait too long." Sheyan suggested.

Sheryll thought for a moment and felt that Sheyan made complete sense and communicated with her nightmare imprint immediately.

After 10 or so seconds, a big frown appeared on her face.

"That bastard" She muttered through gritted teeth.

Sheyan heard her cursing.

"What happened?"

"That damn Nick added a condition that if anyone leaves the party then half of their utility points and potential points will go to Nick and the highest stat of the person who is leaving will be reduced by 3 points." Sheryll replied with frustration and anger in her voice.

"You can transfer your utility and potential points to me first, as for your stat, you can always get more later on." Sheyan spoke to her.

"No it's too late, I didn't check the condition and left directly, I just received the notification of the deduction of 1500 utility points, 6 potential points and 3 stat points." Sheryll shook her head and spoke in disprited tone.

"Hahaha, so you were frowning over such a pitiful amount." Sheyan couldn't help laughing as he heard her say the amount she lost.

"What do you know, I saved them for so long to level up my special ability but now I lost half of it directly." From anger and sadness, Sheryll forgot who she was talking to for a moment and chided before she talked about her situation.

"Hahaha, you are really cute when you are angry, trust me it won't be long before ten thousand or so utility points would seem like loose change to you." Sheyan patted Sheryll's head and laughed.

"Humph, then sir can you spare me some 'Loose change' of yours." Sheryll spoke to Sheyan, she felt that Sheyan was making fun of her and him petting her head like she was some kid only flared her even more.

"Okay, since you are asking so 'Nicely'" Sheyan replied sarcastically and initiated a trade request with Sheryll.

Sheryll accepted it thinking that Sheyan would send her some 100 or so utility points to make fun of her, but for a new contestant like her, if she could receive 100 utility points it won't be too much just to be laughed at once.

Sheryll heard nightmare imprint's notification and felt her ears buzz.

She looked at the notification blankly for a moment before rubbing her eyes.

"1 2 3 4 zeros, you you really sent 10000 utility points and even 10 potential points." Sheryll counted the zeroes in 10000 and turned to Sheyan with shock in her eyes.

"Look at your face, it's just a 'Loose change' dear, don't act like you are some street turner who picked up a wallet with a 10 dollar bill inside it." Sheyan spoke with a smug look on his face.

Sheryll felt her face getting hotter from embarrassment as she heard Sheyan's words and saw Sheyan's smug expression.

"Please take it back, I can't afford to take such a big amount." Sheryll spoke as she initiated a transfer request.

"Keep it, it's nothing to me, I am earning that much almost every hour without doing anything." Sheyan spoke with a smile and patted her head as he rejected the transfer request.

"My lord we are here." Sally who has been frowning more n more for a while turned back and spoke to Sheyan respectfully.

Although she couldn't understand many things Sheyan and Sheryll spoke but she understood that the relationship between Sheyan and Sheryll was getting more n more closer as they talked behind her while following her and she can't accept this.
