Interrupted Dreams

Well, let me tell you a little about myself. I come from a humble family, raised by my mother, we had enough to live on, but not enough to have certain things like new clothes every year or a video game for fun.

I was always encouraged by my mother to focus on studies to have a better life than she could give me, and that was also my biggest goal, to earn enough money to give my mother a comfortable life.

And so I tried hard and always did well at school, of course I never exaggerated, because I had an easier time learning than others. In my spare time I read a lot, I liked immersion in reading to forget about the difficulties of life, what I liked to read the most was about people reincarnating in other medieval fantasy worlds with knowledge of the modern world, so I always researched technologies and developments that could be done in that world.

Going back to academic life, I easily finished high school, got a part-time job to help with household expenses, and got a full scholarship to the best university in my state.

Everything was going well, until my first day at university, I was on the sidewalk of a very busy avenue and I didn't have time to react when I was hit by the famous truck-kun, and that was the end of my life...

Or so I had thought, but my suffering wasn't over.

I woke up in the hospital and guess what, I lost movement in my body below the neck, with no chance of recovery. My future went to waste.

I found out later that the runaway truck that hit me belonged to a large company and its owner felt charitable enough to pay all my medical bills and provide me with a lifetime pension so I could live comfortably for the rest of my life. I felt much better, after all, I didn't want to be a burden to my mother.

And so I went on with my life, despite the difficulties, I found refuge in reading, but it seems I'm a very lucky guy. It seems that a cardiac arrest was the end of me.

Was that bad? Do I have a chance at writing? Tell me your opinions and take a look at the auxiliary chapter to help me.
