INDRA: LOST

~Welcome, user, to the Indra Interface.~ “What..? Where am I? What… is going on..?” Slate looked down at his hands as his vision came through, but he realized quickly that he could feel his eyes open or close. His hands were also made of metal, yet, somehow, he could still feel his fingers. “What the hell?!” ~Please try to calm down. Let me explain. The Ligrass, a violent and aggressive alien race, has attacked planet earth. Almost all humans have been annihilated, but the few who survived had their bodies sealed away, whilst their consciousness was transferred into mecha suits which are to be used to defeat the Ligrass and free man kind.~ “The Ligrass..? Wait.. you are saying I’m one of those humans? Wait, then where is my body?!” ~I cannot tell you that. Also, many of your memories have been stripped of you, but I assure you that you had agreed to become one of the Utopians.~ “Utopians?” ~The term used for those who defend the human race. You cannot know the location of your body or the human outposts, if you did the human race would be in danger.~ “Then.. what the hell am I supposed to do..?” ~Find and eliminate all Ligrass life forms using the Indra interface.~ “Indra?” ~The name of this unit, Indra, the strongest of all Utopians.~ - Slate wakes up to find himself within a mecha suit called Indra and he has the objective of killing an entire race of aliens that threaten the existence of mankind. He must learn how to use Indra and get used to his new body, and he has to be careful, because when a mecha is destroyed while your consciousness is still residing in it, your body will become no more than a breathing, brain dead corpse. Can he find the other Utopians and protect the human race? Or will the Ligrass prove to great a threat for mankind to overcome? This book is for WPC #264, male lead; apocalypse. I hope you like the story! I’ll update 2-3 chapters a day, maybe more based on the amount of feedback. Please leave reviews, comments, tell me what you like and don’t like, all is appreciated. Also, check out my other books please! Thank you! I would also like to mention that this book is very fast-paced from the beginning. PS: the cover does not belong to me, if you’d like me to take it down, then I will. -Kydul #Mecha #OPMC #apocalypse #aliens #action #fastpaced #intensecombat #sci-fi #comedy

Scavengers

Milo stood beside Indra, pulling up a map and pointing to a spot in a large area colored red and labeled "The Lost". He pointed to a spot near the center of the Lost.

"We are goin here." He stated.

"Why?" Slate asked. "What importance does it have?"

"Apparently it used to be a Myrion testing lab, and so, we assume, there have to be valuable Myrion supplies. The only issue is getting there, since the Ligrass scout the area quite often." Amiyah said.

"Usually, we would never dare to go near there.. but.."

"You have me now." Slate said, waving his mechanical hand.

"Exactly, although, I'm curious as to what you can do. Especially if you could fight Kumara." Milo said.

Slate held out his hand, clenching his fist as the Myrion cannon folded into place with the sound of mechanical whirring and clicking.

"Would you like me to show you?"

"No." Amiyah said.

"Yes." Milo said.

Slate held his hand out at his side, letting it fall limp as the cannon deformed. "On second thought, Amiyah may be right. It would only draw unwanted attention." Slate said, although, he felt so pissed off, confused and irritated that he actually kind of wanted the Ligrass to find him.

"Fair." Milo said. "Meh. I imagine we will get the chance to see either way once we go where we need to, considering we will most likely be seeing the Lost Faction."

"Lost Faction?"

"There are different factions of humans cast throughout the country. They all are separate from one another and all fight over scavenged materials. It's basically an ever-constant war." Amiyah explained.

"War? Why? The humans should be working together."

"Humans are selfish beings, my friend, and in chaos they will always turn on each other." Milo shrugged. "It is human nature."

"Yeah, and the Lost Faction is considered the strongest. It has two Utopians in it's ranks, the strongest one being Vishnu, who is actually the boss of the entire faction." Milo said.

"The other one is Krishna, who is also quite strong." Amiyah added.

"Any data on Vishnu or Krishna units, Indra?" Slate asked.

In return he received nothing but the buzz of silence.

"My AI is not talking to me."

"Guess you weren't kidding when you said it had an attitude." Milo shrugged. "Oh well." He turned on his heel and began marching. "Off we go, into the great, wild Lost!"

Slate looked over at Amiyah.

"Don't mind him," she said, "he has an… eccentric character."

"I can see that." Slate said as he followed behind them.

*What am I doing..?* he thought to himself. He honestly was not even sure what he was supposed to do, everything had been turned on it's head. He was lost and had no idea in what direction he should go, so, for now, he figured, he should just follow the path given to him.

[Three_hours_later.]-

A Utopian with a silver body and golden spikes and plates connected to his limbs and torso. His head was similar to that of a knight's mask with a golden crown upon the forehead, four gold spikes shooting back from the side of the headpiece. Four large pointed jets were attached to his back, thin and golden. He held a spear in his hand, a blade on each end of it, that he dug into the ground as he sat and watched the motion in the distance. It had one thin, red glowing slit for a visor.

"Lord Krishna, do you know who they are?" A human asked from next to the Utopian, Krishna.

Krishna sat upon the obliterated, ancient wing of a massive carrier-plane. The plane had long ago crashed in a nose dive, slamming to the earth and exploding, its metal bits scattered across the landscape. He watched as a group of two humans and a Utopian crossed a bridge far off in the distance, heading towards the massive, decrepit structure that was the old Myrion facility.

"I have seen the humans before." Krishna stated, "They are from the Ballas faction, but that Utopian… I've never seen that model before."

"Should we engage them?" The soldier asked, glancing back at the battalion of twelve other men, all armed with rifles, Myrion blades and armor suits that were designed after the Utopians.

Krishna kicked the corpse of a strange creature; a six-legged wolf-like creature with huge jaws, three green eyes and black-and-green armor. It was a Ligrass scout.

"Have snipers surround the area from high points. The rest of you will tail them with me. If we fight, I will handle the other Utopian and draw him away from the humans, then you will kill them. Understood?" Krishna spoke, standing.

"Yes, sir."

Milo placed his hands against a dented-in heavy metal door. It was the main entrance to the facility.

"Anything on the radar, Indra?" Slate asked, even though he could see in the monitor of his mind there was not.

Indra gave no response.

Milo groaned, his face going red and veins popping in his forehead as he tried to force the door open. He began to make weird sounds as he gasped for air and groaned at the same time.

"Need help?" Slate asked.

Milo stopped momentarily, slouching down and breathing heavily. "No… no… I got this… I got this…"

He began pushing at it again with all his might.

Indra stepped forward and tapped his finger against the door, which then gave way, breaking free of it's hinges and crashing to the ground with a loud, metallic bang. Milo had fallen with it as well, landing atop the door on his stomach.

"Haha! See.." he said panting as he got to his knees. "I told you I could do it!"

"Yup. You sure did." Slate agreed, receiving an amused look from Amiyah. Slate looked down at the door, observing the hinges. "Strange. It appears that the door has been screwed back in place multiple times."

"Probably the the Lost faction thinking it would keep other factions out, since only a weapon, explosive or," she waved to Indra, "a Utopian could break it down."

"Yeah, well they didn't see me comin, haha!" Milo cheered, raising his arms and flexing his muscles, kissing each of them. Slate had the urge to tell Milo the truth and break his confidence at that moment, but he didn't.
