India: I became the Maharaj of Bharat

An Indian guy got reincarnated as a son of the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan. He realised that after Akbar, the Empire has been degrading and will reach the peak of degradation during his half-brother Aurangzeb's reign. Plus, he is going to die anyway if he didn't do anything in the war of succession since he was a prince. So, becoming the Emperor himself was the only option. Guns speak louder than words

(1st PoV)

Two and a half years passed by in a flash as I assisted brother in governing Lahore.

By now, I have become well-known throughout the world for finding the vaccine of the Small Pox.

I established Mumtaz Pharmaceuticals, named after Shah Jahan's beloved late wife, and it has been going around the world to sell the vaccines. Since they are now bringing medicine, Indians are now treated with respect instead of enslaving them in the racist Europe.

In Africa, India, China and other countries, racism against European Whites has started spreading as the harbringer of disease, so it has become much harder for them to go around the world. Even the 'Guest is God' India now doesn't treat them with respect because they fear that their disease will kill them. So it must have become much harder for them to take hold. I recently heard that Goa revolted against Portugese, and someone named Shubham became the new king. Right now, Goa and Portugese are warring in the sea.

Anyway, the tensions between Mughal and Persian Empires are rising, and I have been preparing guns in secret to capture Persia in the eventual war that will happen.

India has all the major resources a country can want, except oil and Uranium. Persia obviously has large reserves of oil, and many Parsis are living all over India since the takeover of Islam.

If there is one thing I have understood in these years of being an assistant governor, it's that the normal people don't care much about which kingdom they are in. They live simple lives, and don't have much of a loyalty towards the rulers.

This means that the fate of a kingdom is decided by the ruling class and its military. So that means the scope of a United states of India is not possible through diplomacy.

Guns speak louder than words.

I have only made the rifles in the starting period of 1800s, and started the production in Lahore after gifting one each to Shah Jahan and Dara Shikoh.

As the next governor, I am being taught warfare as well, and I am incorporating the modern army style of parades, kalaripayattu, and shooting practice in my army.

I don't really know much about the military drills, but for conquering Persia, the weapons are enough but we will have to be careful of guerilla warfare.

Anyway, I will be made the official governor in a month, and I will meet my bride, Gandhari, directly in the marriage ceremony. For some reason, they don't consider the people getting married to see each other's face once in a while.

But it's not like I can do much about that. I will have to live with a 12 year old kid, and I can't show disgust on my face for the other party to misunderstand.

Anyway, I have to survive this Mughal-Persian war. And I have to change my ideology to 'Guns speak louder than words'.
