Truman Arrives

As the USA President's plane landed on Delhi's runway, the world's eyes was on the event.

Afterall, it was the first time an US President was the chief guest of any country's Independence Day. Moreover, the event was important enough that he has come to attend a function while the US is having a war in Korea.

As Truman and his wife descended from the plane, the Indian PM Satyankar was there to welcome them by breaking the protocols.

He is wearing a white designer kurta, with saffron and green embroidery on it, making it seem like he truly is representing India.

It was an unusual choice, given that all Indian politicians wore plain clothes to represent the ordinary people of India. But, he wanted to represent India as a culturally rich country with the best clothes in the world as he was meeting a foreign guest, especially the President of India's biggest market.

"Truman Ji! Welcome to India!"

Satyankar enthusiastically welcomed Truman and hugged him.

Truman was surprised by such a welcome, and had no choice but to smile and hug him back.

As they separated, Satyankar also Namaste'd his wife with a smile.

"Namaste Bhabhi Ji! Welcome to India!"

Surprisingly, she Namaste'd back.

Satyankar didn't want to be too friendly to her though. He didn't want something like 'Melodi' to him, or people making things up like they did with Nehru and Mountbatten's wife.

Namaste is enough.

Now that he thought about it, would Stalin become jealous that he didn't receive a hug, and decide that India has joined US's camp?

... He will have to hug both Stalin, Mao, and everyone else from now on. He didn't want to, but he will do it to create a unique image of India as a friendly country.

On a side note, Truman smells bad. Too much perfume. Thankfully, Satyankar wasn't allergic, or he would have embarrassed himself and the whole country by sneezing at such an important moment.

"What does Babi mean?"

Truman asked as they were shaking their hands and smiling.

Did he think 'Babi' means babe or something?

"It's Bha-bhi. Bhabhi means brother's wife."

"Oho!?"

Trueman appeared happy. He was probably thinking that India will become an 'Ally' on this trip, since calling another country's leader 'brother' meant very close relation, atleast in US.

In India though, every other random dude becomes Bhai or Uncle or Behen or aunty.

Afterall, even 'Hindi-Chini were Bhai-Bhai'.

'Oh. So that's why in manhuas everyone calls each other brother or sister... I must not let this be in the translations. Maybe India and China are more similar than I think.'

Satyankar was thinking this as they were gossipping.
