1 Prologue

15th August 1947

As I stood before the assembled parliament, I felt a sense of pride and power surging through me. I was not dressed in a traditional saree, but rather a unique and stunning dress that I had designed myself.

The dress was made of a blend of cotton and silk, dyed in white and golden colors that perfectly suited the perfectly tropical-like warm climate of Thiruvananthapuram. The dress was cut in such a way that it exposed my back and a bit of my cleavage and thighs, making me feel like a goddess.

I mean, I must live up my fantasies!

I am wearing shoes without as much heels the modern fashion had, because they are a nightmare and cruel. But they are also plated with gold, even though it is made of wood, cushion materials and plastic.

Then the earrings are fabulous, light, gold, and long.

On my head, I wore a golden crown embedded with six  dazzling diamonds. The central diamond was bigger than the Kohinoor and named TraHir-1, and the other five diamonds were identical and named Five Stars.

I added some fake stories like how it was a secret treasure from the times of Pandyas which Southern Kingdoms coveted but didn't mention in any writings and only from word to word from the King to the next one or conquerer,  due to a belief that a foreign power will cause trouble to steal it, which turned out to be true and we preserved the diamond because of their vision. And that I renamed it and its original name will be passed down mouth to mouth to the successors.

There is no way to check the credibility of the statement without stealing it, but increases the value, much more than Kohinoor which British stole and their Queen is proudly wearing. And anyway, the people are so stupid for mysteries that you can sell them just about anything.

The crown and the diamonds represented the strength and power that I now possessed as the constitutional monarch of the Travancore. And the wealth that we protected from being stolen, and would continue to do so even more fiercely as the diamond is made public. Honestly, it IS an important thing to do marketing like that to gain recognition which results in more power.

A cape adorned my left shoulder, emblazoned with the flag of my kingdom. The flag featured a beautiful harmony of VIBGYOR colors in a felix structure starting from a golden star, and a circle of seven stars of contrasting colors.

At my waist, I wore a katana-inspired sword that I had designed myself. The sword was called TraWall, a combination of the words "Tra" and "wall" (the Malayalam word for sword). It was a symbol of the power and strength that I possessed as the queen of Travancore.

As I looked out at the assembled parliament, I felt a sense of accomplishment wash over me. We had come a long way in our struggle for independence, and now we had a new era to look forward to. We drove out the British from our kingdom, we even profited quite a lot in the WW2.

And I am living up to my fantasies too.

Together, we had adopted a new constitution and established a new government, with myself as the head.

The parliament consisted of representatives from every walk of life, from farmers to industry workers, and even university students who had graduated.

The new government is composed of myself as the Queen(head), the President as my advisor (who would be elected by the entire population of Travancore separately), the Chief Travancore Officer as my second advisor (who would be selected from various examinations), and the cabinet ministers from the parliamentary elections. Making the Executive.

Then we have two parliamentary houses, one is an elected house Tra-elect and examinated house Tra-office.

We also established a Judicial system and a Welfare Association to ensure that our government policies did not undermine the welfare of the people. The association would be responsible for issuing statistics, banning harmful products, and ensuring that the people were safe and healthy.

Therefore, my kingdom had total 5 bodies, Queen (Me), Executive (President, Chief Travancore officer, Cabinet Ministers), Legislature (Tra-elect and Tra-office), Judiciary (Supreme Court, High Courts, Village and Metropolitan Courts), and Welfare Association.

Furthermore, we decided to make the selection of the next Queen a more inclusive process. Starting in 1950, any girl in Travancore could become a princess. I would remain the queen until 1980 if I keep winning the 1960 and 1970 monarch elections as well, and then the Crown Princess would take over for 10 years. Then the Prince selection program will start and the next monarch will be a prince for 10 years. And from then on, there will be no consideration of gender and the most qualified will become the monarch.

And the monarch must win the monarch elections, and can be impeached if the Central Parliament and Welfare Association get a 75% vote for impeachment, each. Not like Monarch has many powers. They can only ask the government to reconsider once and if it is passed a second time, they will have to pass the bill.

But the Monarch still has indirect powers like putting suggestions and commenting on the things, hosting foreign leaders, advertise things exclusively and becoming brand ambassadors of their choice if they are being paid very high, as a minimum price of 1 billion TraVency right now, which will become higher later due to inflation, as decided by the Chief Travancore Officer and checked by Welfare Association.

Anyway, they can earn more than they are provided after they work so hard to become the monarch. Though 80% of the money will go to treasury.

And I am the Brand Ambassador of 'Queen', a clothing brand from my TraVen conglomerate. I will only wear clothes made by Queen brand down to my underwear.

I will be the one who will launch the bikini which hasn't been designed yet. It will attract foreigners a lot and help the women of my kingdom to be brought out from conservative practices.

Plus we has a good amount of coastline. I must prepare the beaches to be world class to bring in more money.

Wow look at me! Always thinking about bringing in more money. I must praise myself, because the more money we have, the better.

Anyway, I am quite pleased by my achievements, and now it is time for my official coronation.
