PART RIGHT: DAVID

You know when people say that they start their morning with a hashtag blessed, hashtag joyful morning, hashtag whatsoever is that. Well, mine is a hashtag my head is aching a lot but I still need to go to work and visit my mother in the hospital.

I lazily stand up from the bed and prepared myself for work (and visiting my mother). My life is ridiculously like a horror movie ever since my friends said that Diane arrived a week ago. I wish I could just "quarantine" myself in this house even though if there is no pandemic.

What date is today Monday, I'm sure it's still Monday because the calendar says so. I opened my phone and realized that it is not Monday, it's actually Friday. Is my phone even correct or is it messing up with me. Oh, well I don't care.

I hurriedly head downstairs and smell the tasty and sweet aroma of empanada, gazpacho and panelets. Usually I would just eat in the office but Manang Duran's cooking is really tasty, like no joke. She's a better cook than my dad. Dad cooks awful foods and believe me when I say that I literally spit his cooking.

This day isn't that day after all. Especially when food greets you "Good Morning", that's the best.

"Good Morning Manang." I greet with a smile. "I can see that you are cooking all my favorites."

Living by myself is very hard that is why I told Mama to let Manang Duran, Manong Ricky and Yaya Winnie to live with me. It's actually annoying when I live with my whole family in the mansion that is why I decided to live in my one roof.

Besides, living in the peaceful house is better than living in the mansion that is really noisy early in the morning. Diane and I used to paint pictures in the house–I didn't throw them away because Manang said not to. Everything in this house is the same as ever since our divorce. I didn't divorce her, she divorced me since I cheated on her.

"Ay, anak, inihanda ko na ang iyong almusal." Manang said.

I chuckled. "Manang, no need. I'll just eat here. Besides, there's no need to rush. It's still early, that will be my lunch."

Manang smiles and I can say that she is relieved because I don't usually eat here. I eat in the company's canteen but now since she cooked my three favorite Spanish Dishes, I might as well eat in the comfort of my house.

"So, Armando, what are my schedules for today? Meetings, dinners, et cetera..." I said while opening the door of my office.

Breakfast was really good thanks to Manang Duran who made those spectacular foods. Now, I think that'll be in a good mood today. Employees know when I am in a good mood, it means that I ate good food.

What can I say, food is life and you can't live without food for a day or you'll die. Those stupid 24 hour no food challenges are stupid, you're gonna let yourself die just for the sake of your subscribers. Tch, must be kidding.

"Sir, here are the list of your schedules for today, not so tight." Armando puts the chart in my table. "And the since you are in a good mood I resume that you have a good breakfast."

I tap the shoulder of my secretary's back. "Armando, you know me too well. I think your the only person who could understand me."

Armando chuckles. "It's not only me who knows you too well sir. Also your employees and your family. Everybody knows that a Good mood Sir David had a good breakfast."

Yes, yes, I know. My happiness depends on my breakfast. If I eat ridiculous food then I'll be in a bad mood but that's just a number one when I am in a bad mood because I'm always in a bad mood that's my personality, don't judge me. My parents even say that I need to smile and to have fun sometimes but now I realised that having too much fun can cause a large damage in your life.

Having too much fun caused my divorce. It all started when my wife Diane had a miscarriage with our third child. That was my first time going to the bar since my ex-friend Harold invited me to their party. He said that I need to move on to what had happened to my child that's why I agreed and that stupid David (which is me) agreed to go to the party.

That's where I met Rima, she was really pretty. Rima is the one who seduced me in the party–to make the long story short—that's where it all happened . A took a month for Diane to know that I had an affair and once she saw a CCTV record of me and Rima. Diane called her mother and decided to terminate our marriage.

Okay, enough with that flashback. I hate remembering what is in the house but somehow I really get bothered about the fact that Diane's is back in the Philippines. I am not doubtful that she will come home, what I really want is my children Morgan Hellen and Michael. That's really rude and selfish for not sharing custody of my children. That one time mistake does not define what kind of father am I

I rub my forehead and look at the schedules for today. Just focus, David. Remember, Focus.

8:30 A.M.: Meeting with Mrs. Sharon Salt and Walter Salt at Archibald Salt Inc.,

10:00 A.M.: Meeting with clients

12:30 P.M. Lunch with Donald Water at Golden Reef Resort

1:00 P.M.: Charity at Casa Fernando Orphanage

3:00 P.M.: Signing of papers

4:30 P.M.: Meeting with Clients

6:00 P.M.: Dinner with Mr. Jonathan Johansson and Mrs. Carla Johansson

Wow. You never get a rest when you don't deserve a rest.

That's a fact about us CEOs, whenever you want a rest you can't rest since you have a lot of schedules. It's like having a lot of food in your table and you can't finish it fast.

Easy peasy lemon, squeezy. I can handle this, it's not the first time that I have a lot of schedules. Work is my middle name (even though if it is Silverman). Alright, eyes on the clock. What time is it now. I watch my wall clock and notice that it is almost time to go to Archibald Salt Inc. The Salts hate it when someone is late.

"Thank you very much for your time, Mister Evans." The client said as he shake hands with me.

Alright, the meeting is done. One down to go and it's the dinner with the Johansson.

"No, problem, kind sir. Besides, it's the job of the CEO to attend this kind of meetings." I said while giving my usual business smile.

The client laugh loudly, not caring about the employees who are working. "I know that, Evans. You're the top CEO in the entire planet. Also, your company is top one. I can say that you are really an amazing person. You have kids right, the perfect example for them."

I frantically smile at him. Speaking about kids. I haven't seen Hellen and Michael, how are they. The client say that "the famous CEO, Zachariah Evans" is a perfect example for his children. I wish that is true.

"So," I clasped my hands together. "I better get going. I still have a dinner at 6:30 with the Johanssons and I don't wanna be late."

I glance at the wall clock. It's still 5:55, 25 minutes more and I'll be late. If I don't end this conversation I'll be definitely late.

"Of course, Evans." He said while giving me a final (well, it's a wishing-that-it's-final) handshake.

I turn my back and wave them goodbye.

"This man is a legend." The client said from afar.

As far as I'm concerned, the world legend is far behind my back.
