391 Reunion with the Alpha (part 3)

Sensing the overwhelming hostility emanating from Noctavian, the Alpha shifted into a defensive posture.

"The one responsible for Egon's injury is his own father, pup. And that hand you want to cut off aided your mother in manifesting as the Female Healer of your era. But all I receive in return is this blatant disrespect." 

"Don't give me that!"

As Noctavian raised his voice, Adela heard the crunching sounds of leaves around them, accompanied by low, rumbling growls as other shapeshifters closed in on them. The situation was spiraling out of control, and Noctavian's actions were only making things worse.

"Had you killed Atticus on the spot, that necklace of yours would have bound you to Egon immediately and made him your new master, but you gave Atticus a few more moments to live so you could finish off his children and be free of your oath!"
