19 Chapter 19: Albino Frost Hare - Ikumi

Morgana stood outside the grand bedroom, her golden eyes moving between the occupied bed and the front entrance bell.

Lancelot's body covered in bandages, pain relief paste, and patches looked comical, but what could Morgana do? She didn't have enough Ether to heal him fully, already using 80% of her current limit.

At least now his wounds were stable.

"His body is outrageous..." She whispered, the divine tinge in her voice gone, no longer making the air tremble or carrying a sweet, honey scent.

The scent was still soothing and sweet, but it wasn't enough to drive a man crazy with lust or desire, which she enjoyed.

"Living as a normal human beside him might be fun too..."

Ding-Dong!

Her quiet little fantasy faded; taking one last look at her master, she walked towards the guest door swaying her hips, hoping just a little he might wake up to see her behind, peeking through the loose white dress.

Once she left his sight, her dress lengthened, her stockings now up to her waist, hiding everything—even her cleavage was well hidden with a black undershirt and bra.

"..."

Morgana didn't even realise she did this; rather, it was her subconscious.

"Lord Lancelot?" Sebastian's voice sounded on the magi-tech doorbell at the side of the doorway.

"Did you bring the girl and the contract?"

"Y-yes... Lord Lancelot is?"

"Resting, please send the girl up in the elevator; I have granted you access."

Her voice was quite cold, but Sebastian was a professional—it was not his place to complain or answer and thus, a smile formed on the nifty old man's face on the video screen.

"Understood, Ma'am."

Click!

She placed the receiver down, her eyes looking towards her Lord again, noticing his breathing seemed much smoother, no longer the sound of him choking slightly on the leftover blood in his chest.

"Such a stubborn man..." Morgana whispered with a small smile on her face.

The moment he told her he would choose his destiny and didn't want to be her pawn, it was nostalgic to hear such words.

"I remember shouting the same words to my father before he left..."

Thankfully there was no sense of anger or upset in her voice. Rather, from her atmosphere and voice, Morgana seemed refreshed.

Because she was not searching for a pawn from the start!

She called him [My King] to tell him the kind of Lord she needed, one that was steadfast and could take the lead of both people and the battlefield.

"Fufu, big sister, will take good care and support whatever you choose."

Morgana was halfway to the bedroom when the door slowly began to open.

Sebastian was extremely careful—the [Merchandise] was still locked in her sealed crate, and the package containing her unit's summoning tool.

A small bottle of red liquid and a strange sigil with countless words written in a strange runic language.

"Let's see..."

She placed a finger on her chin, wondering how to make things work.

All the while, her round hips swayed like a soft succulent peach while pacing towards the door.

Her arms were stronger than the average human—in this form, she could share the same attributes as Lancelot.

So her strength was quite high!

Creak!

"E...eh....? Who is there?!" A soft, cute voice sounded with a hoarse tone.

"Quiet rabbit."

"I...I'm a hare..." Her lovely voice replied before the slight scraping of her nails sounded on the bottom of the crate.

"Haa...." Morgana sighed—dealing with these low-class troops was annoying.

However, she knew that the rare types specialised in certain skills and abilities—a regular Frost Hare was normal, nothing special.

Maybe a Tier D unit?

But Albino was at least a Tier B with a chance to surpass that depending on their treatment and the Lord.

"Whatever. Do you know your current situation, Hare?"

"I have a name... No need to be so cruel..." The cute voice mumbled the sound of scratching once again as if she was scraping her feet along the bottom of the crate.

Morgana waited before the Hare began to speak.

"My Lord... former Lord... She put me up for sale at the slave trader..."

"And?"

"A-and... You are my new Lord...?"

The Albino Hare's voice was truly something that could match the charm of a succubus with how cute and sugary it was.

Quickly Morgnaa spoke to shut her down.

"No, don't confuse yourself. I am not your master; I am the Lord's commander; you will be a captain under me."

"Ah... T-that...?"

"Hmmm?"

"C-can I meet the Lord, or is she like my previous master...?"

"Your master is a male."

"!!!"

There was a sound of shuffling in the box, a slight hint of her seeming scared, moving away from the side closest to Morgana.

"Do not worry; my master is not seeking you for that reason."

Morgana realised her error—normally, a primary troop would resist their Lord's desire and advance, but a secondary troop was not so lucky, with fewer laws and regulations protecting them.

Thus, in secret, many of the humanoids were used as comforters.

"Morgana... That's enough; let me speak with her." A hoarse but deep voice sounded, causing Morgana to turn around, her face filled with worry quickly.

"Lord!? You shouldn't be out of bed! Back... back... I can deal..."

"Morgana, it's fine. I order you to stand aside."

Unable to resist, her left hand shone a strange colour before her body stepped to the side while Lancelot slowly paced towards the wooden box with a slight limp.

The moment he arrived at the box, his hand lifted, the muscles in his hips and chest tightening before a beautiful sword, like countless sharp petals stacked together, was created before slashing down.

Boom!

"kyaaa!?" The Hare screamed.

Splinters of wood flew across the hallway, and the scared Hare in the box was freed.

A gentle purple aura of petals from his broken sword swayed around her as he stood a metre away.

His face showed a soft smile despite his body being wrapped in countless bandages and slight bleeding wounds under the cotton.

Her gentle red eyes, filled with tears, locked onto his grey orbs, filled with a sincere but wild glint.

"My name is Lancelot, and I need you to become my captain. Would you please join me, beautiful little snow Hare?"

"Hueh?"

Lancelot's left knee lowered, his body no longer towering over her, extending his right hand, the left already filled with Morgana's oath—it would be impolite to seek an oath with another using the same hand.

The Albino Frost Hare looked into his eyes, her soft white fur covering her feet like little paws and her floppy ears shaking from her movements.

His eyes never leered at her body or moved from her face, a warm smile upon his lips.

"Would you prefer me to serenade you with a summoning Hymnal?"

In the background, Morgana looked jealous, her face staring daggers at the little hare that seemed oblivious, only watching Lancelot with eyes like a deer in headlights.

"Are you willing, such an important oath for a second-hand troop?" The hare's voice was sweet, with a sense of desire and anticipation.

Snap!

Lancelot's fingers snapped before an array of purple petal blades danced around his body, the lights of the Rank 1 apartment dimming.

[You don't need to do this...]

'I must, this girl's heart, how broken it must be. Not only herself but her entire tribe was discarded like garbage because she was different!'

[Lancelot...]

'If I don't extend my hand first and remove her from the stigma of [Second-Hand], how can I expect her to follow my lead?'

'Don't be jealous; you are my number one.'

'Now and always.'

[Hmph! You and your stupid silver tongue... This queen will stomp on you when you sleep!]

Lancelot ignored her before closing his eyes, making the sword blades dance with a slower, more charming movement—pink and purple light filled the entrance before his lips opened again.

"This hymnal is dedicated to you, Ikumi."

"An ode to my Queen of Frost."
