1 Chapter 1

I went to sleep fairly early today since I had to get up in preparation for my meeting in the morning tomorrow. I drifted off into the blissful unawareness that is sleep until I woke up.

When I woke up my back felt a little sore, and I was curious as to why. Maybe I fell off my bed in my sleep? Why is my bed so hard? My questions were answered when I opened my eyes, but it also left me feeling even more confused.

There I was lying down in some back alley somewhere in the dead of night in what looked to be the red light district. I got up and felt a difference in my height. Was I always this tall? I asked myself. I looked down at the rest of my body and saw that I looked very poor, but I had good skin, it made me think about whose body I was in right now because it wasn't mine.

Suddenly I felt a jolt of electricity in my head, reflexively I put my hand to my head. I recalled who I was and why I was there.

This body's name is Cain, he is a normal horny teenager, who spent all of the money he got from his parents on brothels when his parents died they left him with all the money. He continued going to brothels with his parents' money but this time he went to expensive ones. When he inevitably ran out of money he couldn't stop his habit of going to the expensive brothels, leading to debt. Cain realized that the only way he could get out of his debt was to go into the dungeon and fight, but he was too much of a coward so he stole some pills, took them and fell asleep.

What a shit position to be in. At least I know what world I'm in right now, Danmachi, the dungeon made it obvious. When it comes to plot I don't think that Hestia has descended yet but it seems like Loki is still the premiere Exploration Familia. Sighhhh, do I even have a cheat to help me out in this world? One thing is for sure, I need to enter a familia, one where I can be nurtured, even if I don't have a cheat. I want to be in a small familia, Loki is a good choice but if I don't show promise I won't be getting falna updates anywhere near as often as I'd like. I am not even going to consider joining Freya's Familia, she probably will care more for Bell than her entire Familia combined anyway. Some gods will be happy as long as I join them and are willing to fight for them. With this line of thinking I tried to develop a plan.

I think the only way I get into the Loki Familia is if I show Loki my dedication so I might have to spend a week or two trying to get in. If the results aren't perfect then I either get kicked or leave, then move on to trying to find a smaller familia to join where hope to God I make it as an adventurer and pay back my debts. Only then can I start living my life without regrets. It's not a very infallible plan, but when you're dealt shit, you play like shit.

I got to work on my plan and started walking, My legs were a bit sore, how long was Cain dead for anyway, do I not have to worry about my debts? Well, you can't be too careful, it's better to have and not need than need and not have. I tried to make my way out of the red light district but I couldn't on my own so I tried asking for directions and that worked, but I noticed that a lot of people were looking at me it made me a bit nervous but I figured it was because I stood out with my looks, by the way, Cain is a handsome gentleman himself, he has perfect golden-blonde hair crimson red eyes fair skin and luscious lips, really a lady killer. None of them approached me though I assumed since my clothes made me look since since Cain sold his expensive clothes so he could go to more brothels.

I continued my way out of the Red-Light district and to the Twilight Manor, the home of the Loki Familia now that I was finally done with my adventure I made my way to the guard guarding the entrance. When I arrived in front of them they bore into me, nothing personal just trying to deter me from doing anything stupid.

"Uhh, Hello! So I'm looking to join the Loki familia how would I go about doing that exactly?" I said, My voice sounded weird like listening to a recording of your voice it just didn't sound like me. The guard sized me up, and after an excruciating 30 seconds he finally did something else, he sighed.

"I'll tell my Goddess about you don't be too hopeful he hates people that interrupt her sleep." The guard said.

{Guard POV}

I started sizing up the guy in front of me I could really pinpoint his age, he sounded young but his height was just above the average human adult height, maybe he's like 16? Looking at him he kind of reminded me of myself plus devilishly handsome looks, I know I was just average.

A thought appeared in my head, I should try and save him, save him from the loss I've felt, the comrades I've lost the family I've said goodbye to. I quickly thought of a way that might deter him from joining a familia. If I get My Goddess right now she might not only reject him but also have one of the elites beat him up. That would do it. I sigh.

"I'll tell my Goddess about you don't be too hopeful he hates people that interrupt her sleep." I said. The boy just nodded in response.

"If I come back and you're not here, I will have your head" I drilled into him and turned my back to him.

I felt a bit bad for him, he does have a good physique for a melee weapon user. I just had to keep reminding myself that I was trying to save him until I got to the Godess' room. I knocked in a specific code I was told to, and it seemed to work I heard my Goddess stir awake from the other side of the door. Not long after the door flung open and a disgruntled red-haired tomboyish girl appeared.

"Who dares disturb my slumber?!" Loki yelled, I wasn't worried about waking other people, the walls are quite thick here.

"There is someone at the gate wanting to join the Familia." I respond matter-of-factly. Normally this is how we deal with people wanting to join our familia, we let Loki appraise them then send them on their way or let them join depending on what Loki says. In cases like these normally I would tell the other person to come back in a few hours so they have a better shot.

"Boy I oughta slug 'em" She says raising her fist up into the air slightly. She starts making her way over to the gates I follow just behind her making sure she's protected.

{Loki POV}

I was angry, I was infuriated, I was enraged, I was absolutely furious someone has the gall to disrupt this goddess' sleep, How dare they? I stomped my way over to the gates where I found a tall golden blonde-haired man waiting, his looks were definitely amazing but they weren't what I noticed first I saw an aura around him of sorts, something that looked so foul yet I just couldn't stop looking at him. The more I looked at him the less I felt like a god, and the more I felt like a woman.

I almost blushed when he looked over at me with those crimson eyes but I did not let my emotions appear on my face.

"What is your name, man?" I asked him passively, I tried to show some of my previous anger that had fizzled out.

"My name is Cain, Goddess" He says in response

"Well, Cain, I would like to welcome you to the Familia" I say with a big smile and with my arms raised like I am expecting a hug. I really am such a nice goddess. Cain looked a bit hesitant and asked for confirmation.

"Really? For real?" He asked, I nodded in response

"Thank you so much!" He said. It's really weird knowing that I made him this happy kind of makes me way happier.

"Come with me so I can get your Falna setup" I say while pointing my thumb back to the manor. When I turned around I saw the guard that was escorting me sporting the most dumbfounded expression I have ever seen, I paid it no second thought and made my way to my bedroom hoping Cain would follow me.

{Cain POV}

That went so much better than expected. Maybe the goddess just wants me for my looks, well all that matters is that I'm allowed into the familia. I catch up with Loki and follow her through the corridors and the massive manor until we reach her bedroom.

"Shirt off, pants off, face down, please" Loki said, I noticed her harmless trick and just took off my shirt and went face down on the bed in front of me. I almost fell asleep immediately but I held on for now. I felt something wet on my back and it felt like something inside me changed.

"What the…?" I heard Loki say I was a bit curious thinking the worst. I finally heard her grab some parchment and imprint my status on it then she finally let me up and gave it to me. I read it over

"You are an enigma, truly" Loki started.

"First you have a skill that even I cannot read, it's in a weird code. Not only that but you have three total skills which even for a seasoned adventurer in abnormal never mind a newbie, but you even have magic. What even is a 'Demon' or 'Incubus' anyway?" Loki asked

"I don't know" I lied, I was just as overwhelmed as she was, so I decided to sleep on it, Loki gave me a big room to use since it was almost guaranteed that I was going to soon become one of the elites of the Familia. We both got back to our precious sleep.
