Aster's Dead, But What Of His Corpse?

Falling to her knees, Grace's breathe quickened as she felt her connection to Aster start to fade, and the only thing left keeping it alive was that corpse right there.

And looking at him about to have a panic attack as she was panicking, she directed it quickly by turning her head and yelling, "What are you waiting for! Save him!!"

But looking at her, and snapping her out of that horrified expression all over her face, Rika gulped and grabbed her chest, "I can't..." she said and Grace shot up yelling at her, "What do you mean you can't! You're a demon too aren't you!!"

But stomping her foot, "I know! But this isn't!... This isn't supposed to be happening" tearing up herself as she felt a sharp pain in her chest, "He's not supposed to die. . ."

"What do you mean? I don't get any of this?!" Greg said.

And looking at him explaining herself, "Since you know it already, I'll tell you, Demons like me and Aster can only be killed through magical means, so he shouldn't have been killed by simply getting his heart torn out like this"

Stepping up to her, "Then why is he laying there, why did something reap my subordinate's soul, why the hell did you and him keep something like this from me? Why?!" he started to talk rationally, but easily began to snap.

But clicking her tongue, "So our Demon cult is run by demons, oh well, now you know, but that's not the issue here, the issue is that something killed him by taking out his heart, meaning that it could affect the cult as well..." but Rika stayed calm.

"I don't give a damn about the cult!" he screamed.

"Well I do! It's a shame what happened to Aster but he'll come back, so stop getting your panties in a twist, Bitch" hostility manifested around her.

Hearing her, and still scared to death, Avery asked, "What do you mean he'll come back?" she said, and looking at her, Rika said, "He'll respawn in the abyss in a year–"

But she was cut off and Greg yelled, "He's not going to the abyss! Didn't you hear that voice! That thing!! The thing that reaped Aster's soul because none of you told me something critically important!!! He's Going To The Dark Realm!!!" he yelled out in a fury, but Rika snapped at him.

"You're blaming this on us?! On me?! You're not authorized to know who in the cult is actually a demon or just another disciple of demons, and why does it even matter?"

"It matters because I could have prevented this if only I knew! I wouldn't have trusted them if I knew there was a real Demon was on our team, they were aiming for him!"

But as they were yelling back and forth, Mari stood up and butted in, saying, "And yet you did, and I bet Aster told you that this wasn't wise either, but did you listen" she said instantly shutting him up, which exactly proved her point.

But as they were fighting in front of the gate, and Grace was sobbing as she collapsed on the floor next to his body, Avery came over to comfort her in the moment.

She didn't really get what was going on, or what they were talking about, but it seemed important and she wasn't going to intervene in it, she was trapped too, so she was going to stay with them untill they were out of this sanctuary.

"He must've meant a lot to you..." she comforted.

"He did... He really, really did..." she sobbed.

After some time of arguing and almost fist-fighting the team with Avery leaving through the portal. From what Mari told them, at daylight tomorrow they should be free and when they were they needed to continue to the town Avery was going to, to find quests in that town untill she finished, and then go back to the town, Sarudain.

Were they'd get their hunting license to make money and then get a shared home until they found the remaining members of the black fang company: Still missing.

But as they left that hall without taking Aster's corpse, after a minute his hand twitched and he opened his eyes, with its pitch black and no glowing red irises.

Sitting up, he cracked his neck and looked down as he saw a hole in his chest, he then started to watch as the flesh began closing up, and merging back together. Yet leaving behind a purple scar as it scabbed and scarred.

And feeling his insides start to fix themselves he stood up and looked at the pool of blood under him, but just looking at it he felt nothing, and his tail began to swing.

Smiling brightly, he walked in the other direction of the portal.

He smelled something delicious, it smelled like ''light''~

But as he vanished from the hall, the group came back as Grace said when stepping in, "I'm not leaving him, I'll bury him when we get to town! Alright!!" she said yelling.

But when she looked down at the corpse. . .It was gone.

"What the hell. . ." she said in shock as it was just there.

"He's gone. . .?" the others equally said all in shock.

Opening His Eyes, He Woke Up To A Yellow Sky And A Rising Sun As Dawn Was Coming. It was Morning Here.

And sitting up without pain anywhere, his tail swayed under him, and blinking several times, he looked in front of him to see nothing but dense trees all around the area.

"Where. . .Where am I" Aster said to himself, deeply confused.
