Chapter 17 : Wicked Revelry II
With a dramatic flair, Kol left the room and headed to change. In a few minutes, he returned, finding his siblings in conversation about the dance. Caroline, amused, commented, "See, I told you he's always like that."
Kol, holding two mysterious boxes, approached Stefan with a sardonic smile. "What's a nobody like you doing here?" Caroline attempted to admonish him, but Kol raised an eyebrow, silencing her.
Ignoring Kol's provocations, Stefan asked Klaus about Damon's whereabouts. In a mocking tone, Kol chimed in, "Oh, I've seen him leaving town."
Stefan, sceptical, questioned, "Whose blood is that on you?"
Kol moved quickly to get close to Stefan, his body thrusting into his liver. "A rabid dog's blood. Are you interested in joining?"
Caroline asked Kol to let it go after Stefan shook his head. Kol nodded and warned Stefan that no one can save him if he disrespects him again. Then, wiping his hands on Stefan's shoulders, he went to the boxes and set one in front of Caroline and Rebekah.
"Darling, you will be mentored by Rebekah about all things vampire, but you are free to visit whenever you like."
Rebekah and Caroline vehemently opposed the mentoring idea, but Kol, addressing Rebekah first, said, "You're the oldest female vampire here."
"So learn from the best," Kol turned towards Caroline and added.
Rebekah screamed, throwing a glass at Kol's head, who laughed and made a swift escape. Rebekah chased after him.
Returning after a few minutes, Kol witnessed Klaus flirting with Caroline. He glanced at Klaus, saying, "Same courting rules as followed for Bekah's paramours," Kol added with a mischievous grin, to which Klaus nodded in surprise. "Just remember, brother, she's not one to be easily won over." Klaus chuckled and replied, "Oh, I'm well aware of that. But I do love a good challenge." Kol instructed Klaus to give Rebekah his card, allowing Caroline and Rebekah to go shopping based on the gifts they were given. Despite Caroline's attempts to refuse, Kol insisted, promising that understanding would come once she opened the gift.
Caroline was dragged away by Rebekah, leaving the men to continue drinking in the parlour, the music playing softly in the background.
