A breath of vigour was brought in by Caroline's entrance, which turned the Mikaelson estate into a golden glow the following afternoon. With an infectious smile and mischievous eyes, Klaus, the perpetual charmer, crossed her path.
"Caroline, love, what a delightful surprise!" Klaus whispered, his eyes dancing subtly. Despite rolling her eyes, Caroline, who was well-versed in Klaus's dramatics, forced a sardonic smile. "What do you want?"
Stefan's appearance upset the delicate balance before Klaus could respond. Stefan stormed in, desperation written all over his face, ignoring Klaus's lighthearted repartee. "What happened to Damon? I have been searching everywhere for him."
Klaus, always the entertainer, invited Stefan to join them in the parlour. Over a drink, we can talk about Damon."
While making a drink in the poorly lit parlour, Klaus kept his gaze fixed on Caroline. "Do you want to get a drink, Stefan? And please explain the cause of this unexpected urgency to me."
Exhausted with his brother's search, Stefan expressed his worries. "It would not surprise me if you were involved in the disappearance of Damon."
Meanwhile, Caroline, inquisitive about Kol's whereabouts, questioned, "Where's Kol?"
Remembering Kol's instructions, Klaus activated the magical device Kol had bestowed upon him, effectively deactivating the sound ward in the dungeon. As Klaus headed to the counter, the haunting notes of "Ain't No Rest for the Wicked" began to seep through the mansion.
🎶 "Oh, there ain't no rest for the wicked
Money doesn't grow on trees. I have bills to pay.
I have mouths to feed.
There ain't nothing in this world for free." 🎶
The song's lyrics reverberated through the hallways as Kol appeared at the door sporting a blood-stained face and T-shirt. He smiled demonically. "Oh, there ain't no rest for the wicked," he sang along, his body moving to match the song's disorderly beat.
Attracted by the commotion, Rebekah approached Kol from the rear, observing the unfolding scene.Elijah, the epitome of poise, came around the corner, a mute witness to the drama taking place. Rebekah's eyes widened in disbelief as she took in Kol's bloodied appearance, her concern evident on her face. Elijah, ever composed, maintained his stoic expression, silently assessing the situation before taking action.
Seductively, Klaus called Caroline's name. He was enjoying the mood. "Caroline, sweetheart, do you care to join the festivities?" Caroline, caught off guard by Klaus's invitation, hesitated for a moment before reluctantly joining the chaotic scene. As she approached, her eyes darted between Kol's bloodied appearance and Rebekah's worried expression, unsure of what exactly had transpired. Elijah, ever observant, noticed Caroline's unease and made a mental note to investigate further.
As the song played, Kol's dance evolved into a macabre performance, a stark contrast to the elegance of the Mikaelson mansion. The siblings, each with their own unique demeanour, converged in the parlour, creating a tapestry of music, mystery, and mayhem.
Caroline, intrigued by Kol's unusual display, questioned, "Where were you?"
Kol, overhearing Caroline's inquiry, halted his dance. "Well, well, if it isn't our little newbie vampire wondering about my whereabouts, What can I say, darling? Sometimes I just like to make an entrance."
Ignoring Kol's theatrics, Caroline chuckled and said, "He's always like that."
Kol, overhearing the remark, smirked, "Guilty as charged. But it's been a long time since they've seen me like this."
