7. Can you use it now?

"They want to find you". At this word Tiana ceased crying and stared at Cynthia. She momentarily froze for a second and the feeling of shock evident all over her face. She couldn't believe it. Why would anyone want to search for an outcast? Tiana's mind was racing with questions rendering her speechless. She could only stare at Cynthia. 

Cynthia did not know to laugh or to cry, she was caught of guard aback by her friend's reaction. The girl, her friend, was too naive to react this way. Richard also felt the same way. There was heavy silence for a few minutes. Each having their own thought, but the brother and sister did not know what to say.

Finally, it was Tiana who spoke, she took her time to come to her senses but finally she asked, "How do they know where I am?"

Cynthia sighed, she would never be able to understand her friend's innocence. "No Tiana", she replied exasperated. "They don't know where you are, In fact, they don't know if you are alive, let alone where you are".

"Ok, but why are they searching for me all of a sudden, I… I … I, she strutted and let out a sigh and continued, I mean nobody bothered to know if I'm alive or not when I came here, so why now?" Tiana was still unsettled and both of them could feel it. They couldn't let her know of certain thing now, she will have to wait.

"Tiana, it is a very long story, I will…" before Cynthia could finish Tiana said "I have time and I'm listening." Cynthia and Richard gazed at each other. Her demeanour had changed she had stopped crying and now she looked a little angry, but still Cynthia and Richard were not satisfied with it. She was not calm. 

"I think we have to leave" Richard was standing, and moving toward the exit of the cottage. 

"Why who did you see?" Cynthia asked looking in Richard's direction. 

"I'm not coming anywhere without you telling me" Tiana, she was angry.

"If you want to know it you have to come with us" Richard was the one who spoke and he looked directly at Tiana. "I am not going to let you stay here anymore. Cynthia have you packed everything?" he asked looking at his sister.

"Yes, I have but… "before she could finish Richard replied.

"Tia, I know you have learnt the teleportation spell from Abigali and I know you have practiced it a lot of times. Can you use it now? can you do it with the three of us or only with you?"

Tiana was shocked with hearing what Richard just asked. She was receiving shock after shock, what a day she was having! She never knew Richard knew that she practised magic. She had kept it a secret, she had told Cynthia and made her promise that she would not say it to anyone. Could it be that Cynthia had told him. All at once she was angry with Cynthia. "You told him, I practiced it" she looked at Cynthia with eyes oozing anger.
