Chapter 17 : Cleaning Up

Chen Li Xue woke up because of the hustle -bustling outside when someone knocked the door.

"Come in"

A tall man came into the room with a bowl of porridge on a tray. The man was good-looking and definitely in his prime age. He looked energetic and warm.

"Have some food", he said as he put the food on the table.

Chen Li Xue immediately took the spoon and ate the porridge. It was still warm so she felt comfortable.

"So touching", she teased the young man.

"Boot-licking?", he laughed after he blurt out the word.

Chen Li Xue smiled warmly as she dug into her food. This young man was her assistant manager. There was no reason for him working there as he was actually a heir of a third-rate company. However, this young man even bickered with his father for the sake of working in Alpha Corporation.

She had always treated Yan Xu Jia like her own little brother as he was two years younger and they had a very good relationship inside and outside the company.

Finished eating, Yan Xu Jia brought the finished bowl out. Chen Li Xue had just realized that there was a coat beside her. Must be Yan Xu Jia's. She took the coat and hung it to the hanger.

She continued looking at the unread documents and finished them faster since there were detail notes.

The next day early in the morning, Chen Li Xue took taxi to the airport. It was at the peak-hour so it took 2 hours before she arrived.

There, Yan Xu Jia had been waiting for her. As soon as he saw her, he rushed to her and took over her trunk.

Walking and talking at the same time, Chen Li Xue didn't realize that they were heading to the VIP waiting room. Not until they arrived that Chen Li Xue looked at Yan Xu Jia confusedly.

Yan Xu Jia knew why she looked confused as he also felt the same at first. He pointed at a certain word in the ticket. 'First-class'. Chen Li Xue didn't realize it when she received it the previous day because she wasn't well. 'But why ?'

She was still in the middle of her own thought. She was pulled back to the reality with the familiar voice.

"Ms Chen , Mr Yan", Fu Shen greeted them.

Behind him, a man with his cold face followed. Both Chen Li Xue and Yan Xu Jia immediately bowed and greeted him. He didn't reply and walked to the available seat.

Soon, there was the announcement for the passengers on board. Chen Li Xue who still found it weird to sit in the first-class was stunned by another matter. The big boss sat beside her.

Fu Shen who saw how startled Chen Li Xue was could only chuckle. He was actually dumfounded when the robot asked him to buy the flight tickets as he usually used his own private jet.

Meanwhile, Chen Li Xue who always slept during flight couldn't close her eyes as she was so tense. She didn't know why but she always acted cautiously in front of Ye Xiao.

As she felt restless, they touched down in P Country. There was a black limousine waiting for them. Chen Li Xue and Yan Xu Jia were flustered when Ye Xiao and Fu Shen walked leisurely to the car.

Looking at the two frozen, Fu Shen snapped them back "Ms Chen, Mr Yan let's go". After he said those, he followed Ye Xiao who had first got into the car.

'The big boss is real savage. For the sake in the same car with his girl, he even becomes so high profile.', that was what Fu Shen thought.

They went straight to the first subsidiary. They were greeted by all of the workers, from the subordinates to the superiors.

"Good afternoon sir, everything has been prepared.", an old man with his protruding belly spoke.

However, he was ignored by the big boss. He was treated like the blowing wind, thus everyone laughed inwardly. For the old man was a really hypocritical one, a lot of his subordinates had a little grudge.

The meeting started around 2 p.m and was estimated to be finished at around 4 p.m. Yet, who knew that the big boss had prepared so much before coming that he threw questions after questions. Even the analysis that Chen Li Xue had done beforehand had also been thrown in front of everyone.

By those, the old man underhand business had been torn apart by the newly appointed president. No one had ever thought that the smug old man who held the position of director and had been in charged for a decade would be thrown to the slump with a blink of eyes.
