3 Chapter 3 : Start of plot

Alex woke up in the morning and took a bath and had breakfast. He took a taxi to the library. After arriving at the library, Alex took a stroll around the library in search of Evelyn and found a beautiful young lady with circular glasses sorting books.

Alex walked toward her and decided to ask her about some books to get to know her.

"Hello, can you tell me where I can find books about Hamunaptra?"

Hearing the question behind her Evelyn turned around and saw a young man of 21 with red eyes and black hair and fair skin and a beautiful face. Evelyn was in a daze. Seeing that she was not responding Alex asked again.

"Miss, are you OK?"

Hearing the voice Evelyn came out of her daze and responded

"Sorry, I am thinking about something else. What did mister ask?"

"Books about Hamunaptra."

Hearing the name Hamunaptra Evelyn became bright

"Mister there are many books about Hamunaptra. Follow me and I will show you the books"

With that said Evelyn took Alex to a section of books about pyramids and other ancient places. Alex saw all those books and asked

"Miss, may I know your name?"

Hearing the question Evelyn turned her head and said

"Evelyn, may I know yours?"

"I am Alex Walker."

"So Mr Alex what do you want to know about Hamunaptra?"

"All its history and why it is called the city of the dead and at the same time, Ms Evelyn are there any people who know about all its history?"

Hearing that Evelyn said

"Mr Alex there are not many people who know about that place. Today is your lucky day you met one of them."

"So Ms Evelyn knows about its history may I ask about it? Hearing is better than reading a book"

Hearing that Evelyn enthusiastically said

"Well, since Mr Alex is asking, I will tell him about it."

Evelyn explained to Alex for 2 hours about Hamunaptra. After 2 hours Alex said

"Ms Evelyn you are very knowledgeable about history and you also know about ancient languages. You are a very brilliant person," said Alex praising her.

"Well I know I worked in this library for many years and know about all the books in this library"

"Ms Evelyn you are very amazing for spending your time with me. May I ask for Ms for lunch?"

"Mr Alex it is not needed. I have done my job?"

"Ms. you can call me Alex and not everyone can do their job like you so please it is my appreciation"

"Thank you Alex for your invitation."

While eating Evelyn asked Alex about his job

"Alex, what is your job?"

"Ms Evelyn, I explore various ancient places and my next target is Hamunaptra"

Hearing that Evelyn enthusiastically said

"Are you really telling the truth?"

"Ms Evelyn it is the truth I came to Egypt for that only now I am searching for people who know about that place and form a team and explore"

"Are there any clues?" asked Eve she was also curious about such a mysterious place.

"Well, I know about a key that contains the map "

"Really can you let me see it?" Evelyn asked loudly and getting stares from other customers she calmed down.

"Ms Evelyn, you are very enthusiastic, but unfortunately I don't have that key."

Hearing that Evelyn became disappointed seeing her as Alex said

"Ms Evelyn don't worry I know where that key is. It will be available in a month."

"Really"

"Yes, Ms. Evelyn are you interested in studying it?"

"Yes, I would love to."

"Now miss I have work to attend. I will see you tomorrow"

Like that Alex met Evelyn every day at the library and as time passed they became friends.

1 month later,

Alex came to the library and saw Evelyn talking to a person with an oval face and thin body holding a black box seeing that Alex thought the plot had started.

"Hi Evelyn it seems you have found the key" asked Alex looking at Jonathan.

Hearing the voice Evelyn turned to see Alex and said, "Alex, I found the map to Hamunaptra"

Hearing this Jonathan said "What you found it I found it"

"Well, it is not like it will make any difference," said Evelyn casually

"Evelyn, who is this?"

"He is my brother Jonathan."

Alex turned to Jonathan and extended his hand and said

"Hello Jonathan nice to meet you. My name is Alex Walker"

Jonathan also extended his hand and said "Nice to meet you, Alex"

After finishing the introduction Alex turned to Evelyn and said

"How is the map? Are you able to decrypt it"

"I understand this map very well. It shows the exact location of Hamunaptra"

While talking with Evelyn the three of them moved to the library manager's room and gave the map to the manager and asked him to find that place. The manager said

"No, it is not possible. All those who went in search of that never returned."

Hearing that Evelyn said "They don't have a map but we have a map and it clearly shows the locations"

During the conversation, Evelyn mentioned its other name, the city of Gold. Hearing the word gold Jonathan became interested and Evelyn various questions during the meeting the map was accidentally from the candle beside it, others swiftly put off the fire on the map, but it was too late the map was half burned. To see this Jonathan said

"It is not understandable while it is the full map now it is half burned how can we find that and become rich?"

Seeing the map manager said "It's for your own good now you won't die in search of that place"

After finishing the conversation they came out of the room and Evelyn asked Jonathan where he found the box.
