In the mind of an NPC

After reincarnating into the past as an NPC, Girisia was faced with two options, either fall into despair and continue to barely survive in the lowest drenches of the society or make a stand and find out who played this ugly game with his life. Now, if destiny is to be challenged, there should be nothing wrong in using the immortal resources that come in the form of Players. After all, "A hunter cannot be blamed for hunting a prey that willingly served itself." ***** Read my other work called "Jealous Nerd vs The Immortal Army". The story of an unlikely manipulative hero without shame or care for the world. Born with a vulgar mouth and equally cursed ability, the immortals will regret meeting him. If I have to say, he is polar opposite of the MC in ItmNPC.

1.17.2 Fate hates me. So F U fate!! - Part2

While Girisia was having a great conversation about his future with the two other men. On Danav, Professor Oak was learning to use his powers properly. All of which were recorded by his guildmates.

"A stag will be a good practice target." He announced. Ordering his guildmates to maintain some distance.

This was not the first time he had hunted a stag so he was already used to their movements and how easily they would run away in fear of an intruder like him.

This pack of Stags was no different, with his loud announcement, the stags were startled and started to escape the area.

But for the current Professor Oak, this was nothing.

Active skill: <Totem 2/2>(Click to expand)

Totem: Aspect of Grasshopper, Aspect of Purple-bee

The aspect of Grasshopper: Strengthen your leg muscles depending on your spirit stat. Each kick is lethal, each jump is expanded and you could become a good gymnast now.

The aspect of Purple-Bee: Your ring finger will now secrete a potent poison and the whole strength will be based around your spirit. Each stab is paralyzing and you may look for a way to strengthen your finger if you don't wish to break it while using this skill.

Using his creation skill of Spirit ink engraving and the ink he made with resources he had been collecting all this while. All Professor Oak had to do was hunt some suitable target to be used in this skill.

And due to his trait of "Lover of Insects", the beasts he chose were some small insects. Not that dangerous and found virtually everywhere in the forest, but with enough of them he had enough of the proper ink and through some trial and error, Professor was able to succeed.

It's not like he was talented at drawing, instead, all he needed to use was activate the skill and wait till his RNG shows its magic and he succeeds, during that whole time, it's not his hand moving and drawing, instead the player support system helping him.

"Which one…" He looked at the running stags with great greed, what he saw was not beasts running for life and instead, they were his opportunity to act cool.

"The big one it is." He announced once again to his companions causing them to pan the camera toward the leader of the stag group that was leading the weaker beasts away.

With poison flowing from his mid finger and his legs muscles taut with high tension. Professor Oak jumped causing the ground around his feet to shake under the tremendous pressure as the dried leaves dispersed along with the shockwave his jump caused.

It was neither an amateur jump nor an inexperienced one. He had long adapted to the usage of the skills and now he was going to use it in combat for the first time.

So reaching the biggest stag of the group that was also the leader, Professor Oak, with his middle finger dripping with blood stabbed the stag on its neck.

The poor stag leader was not even able to react on time when Professor Oak reached it as most of its attention was focused on protecting its family. Which caused it to suffer.

Professor Oak's finger was delighted by his successful strike. The prompt may have said that his finger remained weak, but it still had enough penetrating power to make a small hole in the neck of the large stag.

Like a bee sting, his finger also held great penetrating power. Which made him easily inject some poison inside the stag. And knowing the stag was further startled. Professor Oak's kick caused the stag to fly far into the air and crash into a tree.

"Whee." The stag cried in pain. Its legs were shaking with fear. But looking at its pack that left safely, the fear disappeared.

The life in the forest has never been calm or safe, the stag leader has seen its own family die and sacrifice their life to save others in its pack. This was not any different.

For even if it was just a beast with low intelligence, it still had a soul and will to belong and the responsibility that comes with being the strongest. Maybe next time some other stag will pick up the reins of the pack and protect it as it did before.

The survival of the pack was the only reason the stag lived.

"This finger will be useless for a while." Professor Oak said, looking at the finger he stabbed the stag with. Like a bee, Professor Oak can use his ability only one time and it goes into cool down for five minutes, it was a one-time ability unlike Aspect of Grasshopper that can be maintained as long as he still has some Wild Spirit left.

"But it did its job." He spoke with contempt toward the stag that was struggling to stand up.

The beast didn't know what was wrong with it as even though the leg sweep hurt it a lot and caused huge internal trauma on his body, it still could have used its legs and would have shown this monster its last stand.

But the paralyzing effect of Professor's Oak's finger held too much effect on an east that was merely level 9 to player standards.

"Let's finish this… Everyone keeps recording from all angles, we need to show to the world why we are the best." He jumped toward the stag beast once again and laughed at its ugly attempt to stand back up

In real life, this would have been a pitiful scene and Professor Oak himself would have cursed the person for the cruelty of this kind if done toward a living animal.

But in front of him were just a collection of complex codes and data. For Professor Oak, it was fun, the stag was just a collection of experiences, and feeling bad for artificial intelligence was never in his mind.

For him, this was just a game.

For every other player beside him, the same was true.

So with no mercy, he kicked the stag again, again and again.

He kept kicking the beast that couldn't even defend itself, couldn't even cry for help, couldn't even afford a quick death.

For Professor Oak, it was a fun game as the health bar soon dwindled off the beast, and with a kick to its head, he blew it into smithereens.

A kick that only arrived after the beast had lost all its breath. A kick, that could have saved it from all the torture it went through.

"Phew… it died earlier than expected. I only have a little wild spirit left." Professor Oak had hunted a stag a lot of times and he knows how high the vitality of this beast is. One dying so easily and so fast had been a treat for him.

"Well, we recorded everything properly. I will edit it and upload it on forums." One player, after coming close to Professor Oak spoke with fascination over the dead stag. He was still filming and taking video of the beast from all angles from a closer perspective.

"Good… This time, it's better if Su Yan creates the post. I need to act as a figurehead from now on, who is not easy to talk to."He planned. The more unreachable he looks from outside the better it will be for him.

'Mayfly... Just wait and see.' There was intense hate inside Professor Oak for Mayfly, the leader of WhiteToast guild and he always desired to one-up him whenever he got the chance.

But just as he was having the thoughts of how Mayfly would react.

"There is a problem Oak…" Su Yan's surprised voice came.

"What… What happened." He asked, noticing that Su yan was looking at the forums.

"We were late, it seems… The White Toast guild leader also entered level ten and had released a video of him hunting a hob-goblin in an arena." Su Yan said, her voice breaking as it went on.

Causing Professor Oak to crease his forehead as he too opened the forums.
