13 ch 13

After traveling in hyperspace Carl, Rex, and Ahsoka finally arrived on the first planet Carl landed on in this reality. Finishing there approach and landing on the planet Carl decided to get everything ready for the jump back. Carl removed from the ship the crate of Hoi-poi capsules that were unused, the speeder bike that he capsuled, the box containing the individual droids that couldn't fit in containers along with some fighter droids, a couple of the CIS tanks, all the transport shuttles, and the construction droids so they can build a bigger room connected to the basement so they can work on the bigger things he brought back along by with the containers with spare parts, components, metal reinforcements. Carl wanted to work on the droids and know how they're made and worked, along with the coding that he will have to understand and if possible he wanted to use all the shuttles to make another ship for Ahsoka and Rex to use cause they most likely won't stay on earth. He placed it all outside the ship along with Rex and Ahsokas things as they too got all their stuff together even tho it wasn't much.

They spent the next few days on the planet with Carl sharing information about his reality and what to expect. Carl told them he had an idea on what to do when they get back but he does warn them that he really doesn't have a solid plan. He told them this would probably be there last chance to turn back and take a shuttle to leave, in fact he wouldn't blame them. They just sat there resolutely in their decision making Carl have a faint smile.

With all that out of the way they all waited a couple more days till finally carls bracelet chimed letting Carl know it was fully charged for a return trip home. They gathered all their stuff and after everyone was off the ebon hawk including HK-47 and R3-D4 Carl capsuled the ship. Carl then pressed the button and a blue line shot out of the bracelet and about three feet in front of Carl a blue vortex like portal appeared. Carl gathered all his things floating it all with the force and promptly walked through the portal followed by Rex and Ahsoka.

After they all exited the portal the machine that was generating it shut off. Carl set the stuff he was floating over to the side and went over to the control panel for the machine. Getting to the control panel Carl could see the display [charging for next random jump: 1 year] so it will take a year for his next jump, that's fine he can get use to his force powers and set up all the stuff he got from the Star Wars reality. Carl looked at the top of the screen he could see a tab saying [visited realitys]. Carl pressed that tab and a new screen was there with a single column saying [reality SW1423]. Carl immediately understood that this meant it did save the Star Wars reality he went to, but it says that he needs to wait 3 years till the portal can stabilize then he can free travel to that reality whenever he wants.

After fiddling with the console and not finding anything els new, Carl turned away and decided to show Ahsoka and Rex to their rooms. He told HK-47 and R3-D4 to wait here till he gets back. Good thing it's a 4 bedroom house so he has the space for Ahsoka and Rex. After showing them their rooms Carl decided to use the internet to see if anything happened while he was gone. The first thing he noticed was that even tho he spent over two months in the Star Wars reality only two weeks passed. This meant he still had about three months till he had to start going to midtown high school.

Not finding anything els of note Carl went back to the basement and got the capsules that contained the construction droids and the containers that had all the spare parts, components, and metal. Once he had all those he went to the yard and first de-capsuled the containers that had the spare stuff. Then he de-capsuled the construction droids. Good thing he's so far from the city or he wouldn't be able to do all this out in the open.

Carl went to the container that held the construction droids and got them all powered on. He conveyed to them that he wanted a new room big enough to work on star fighters and such built under the house next to the basement. One of the littler droids that could float went up to Carl and beeped at him. Carl did learn a little of the droid language from R3 so he could tell the droid wanted him to take it somewhere so Carl assumed the basement so he lead it to the basement were it scanned the whole thing then proceeded to go back outside scanning everything. They were back where the other droids were and Carl showed all the spare equipment that they will be able to work with to make it which it also scanned. Once it was done scanning it produced a hologram of a room which Carl assumes is the one that they will build. It was a room that almost looked like a mini hangar bay. It had a ramp that presumably led to the surface. A lot of different equipment presumably to work on Star fighters and vehicles. What looks like a holo table on one side of the room with other consoles as well. And stairs leading to a door that presumably led to the basement that's already there.

Carl looks at the droid hovering in front of him. " you'll be able to built all this with the parts here?" The droid computes for a second then beeps while nodding. Carl smiles at this. "Alright then, get it done as fast as you can. Oh and can you make it have its own power supply and not connected to any external network?" Carl knows about shield and hydra and all that, heck Tony stark with his AI Jarvis would be able to get into his system, so better safe than sorry. The droid computes for a little longer than last time then beeps and nods again. The hologram changes a little, nothing is different except a generator in another section of the room which kinda looks like a smaller generator they used on Hoth in the movie empire strikes back. Carl nods at this, "looks good. You have my permission to start." The droid beeps in confirmation then went over to the other droids and conveyed orders and they all got to work.

Carl left them to it as he went back to the basement where HK and R3 were. Carl told them they really wouldn't be able to do much till the new room is built but they will start by figuring out the coding on the droids. Carl then went and took out some of the individual droids two of each to save space. HK and R3 could do this by themselves but Carl wanted to not just rely on them so he was learning as they went. It took hours but with R3 plugging into the droids displaying the codes of the droids and HK explaining how the code works, Carl was finally able to figure out the coding of the droids and figured out they all ran on a central command point. Like they had when they invaded Naboo. So Carl would have to make a device that transmits a signal for all the droids to power on and give orders. He wonders why they would do it like that but it probably had something to due to cost. HK informed Carl he already had the schematic for the transmitter but didn't have the tools to make it. Carl thought about the construction droids and maybe they could. He told HK they would worry about that after the construction droids were finished.

After finishing disassembling the droids for a while it became late so he informed HK and R3 he would be heading to bed which they gave a confirmation and continued to work on the droid to occupied their time. Carl made his way upstairs didn't see anyone so assumed Ahsoka and Rex also went to sleep so he made his way to his room and got ready for bed and promptly passed out with plans for everything running threw his head.

A month passed and not much happened. Ahsoka and Rex have studied up on the earth and with the help of Carl answering their questions they have a good grasp on what they need to know. Carl has taken Rex out of the house to get supplies, Ahsoka stayed at the house cause of her not being human. Got them clothes, personal items, more food, ect. Other than that while waiting for the construction droids to be finished Ahsoka and Carl would every now and then engage in a lightsaber duel which Ahsoka would win due to her being more experienced but Carl was learning after every duel. Rex would sometimes go over the droids with HK, R3, and Carl wanting to learn about his once enemy now tool. Carl with the help of Rex, HK, and Ahsoka was able to take the shield generators on some of the droidikas and made a shield generator for HK and R3 that they installed on both and portable shield generators for Carl Rex and Ahsoka. The droids that were working on the extension to the basement finally finished and let Carl know so everyone went to see the new room.

Everyone met up in the basement where there was a new door with a button next to it. With everyone present Carl pressed the button by the door making it slide open to the side. 'Cool' Carl couldn't help but think. Upon entering they all appear to walk onto an elevated platform with stairs going to ground level to accommodate the bigger room. As they walk down the stairs and look out into the room they could see it was fairly large. It had room to fit at least 4 of the transport shuttles Carl had, with what looked like different machinery to work on them with. Carl saw a ramp that lead up to some blast doors that presumedly opened to the surface. As they reached the bottom of the stairs they could see a holo table with a few console stations by the wall that would operate some of the machinery in the place.

After taking the room in Carl addressed the droids that made the room/hangar bay. "Great job. I have something els but go take a rest while I get everything situated." The droids beep in confirmation and went over to a side of the bay that Carl noticed charging ports for droids. 'Well at least I don't have to worry about powering them.' Carl thought to himself. He then looked to HK and R3, " HK, R3, I want you both to download all the information you both have into the systems here." They both gave their confirmation and both went to different ports to unload their data.

Carl then grabbed one of the capsules and press the button and tossed it. A poof of smoke later one of the transport ships appeared and Carl used the force to lift it to the side making room for him to do it again making another transport ship appear. Carl used the force to place the ships in their respective spots. He turned to Ahsoka and Rex, "ok we should start disassembling the ships here then we can de-capsule some more to dismantle."

Ahsoka had a confused look, "why are we dismantling the transport shuttles?"

Carl shrugged, " you both will need a ship to do things off planet so building a ship out of the shuttles seems like the best option."

Rex then asked, " what about that ship we were using."

Carl then asked, "the ebon hawk?" Rex nods in confirmation to which Carl shakes his head in the negative. "I want to keep the ebon hawk with me and seeing as I won't be joining you in space long term you both will need your own ship."

Ahsoka then asked, "so we're going to be exploring space while you stay here?"

Carl nods and answered, " essentially yes. I have a plan to set up a base off planet but I have obligations here that I can't just put off. I'll be more free to do things after a year or two but for now I would like you guys to set up off planet. There's an item that I want you to search for that needs to be kept safe at all cost."

Rex crossed his arms, "what item is that?"

Carl answered, "it's called the power stone, basically a gem with unimaginable power that if in the wrong hands, will mean a lot of bad things for this entire reality."

Ahsoka then guessed, "and I'm guessing that you want us to get this 'power stone' cause someone really bad is after it?" To Carl nodding his head Ahsoka sighed, "ok, do you know where it is?"

Carl had an apologetic smile, " that's the thing, I do know the planet it's on, called Morag, but have no idea where that planet is. I haven't been off planet to connect with the rest of the galaxy yet."

Rex then asked, "is there anything els you can give us that will help?"

Carl shrugged, "not much just that there's a group called the nova corps that's kinda like the republic. They shouldn't be too hard to find and if you find them finding Morag shouldn't be too difficult."

Ahsoka and Rex nod to that, at least they had something to go off of. With that out of the way HK and R3 were done dumping all there data into the systems so Carl, Rex, and Ahsoka went over to the holo table and pulled up ship designs from the database they collected from both the CIS and republic. Going through everything they discussed various things. Carl wanted to leave it to Rex and Ahsoka to decide cause they're the ones that will be using it but they couldn't decide. So Carl seeing a design quickly scrolled through and when finding it again brought it up on the holo table, "why not go with this one? You could modify it but I think this ship design should work." What Carl brought up was the Corellian YT-1300 light freighter. The main reason was for nostalgia and wanted to build the millennium falcon, but the second was he was thinking to use the container that usually goes with the freighter as an extra room and they could even use it as a decompression chamber to set up bases on planets that don't have an atmosphere, cause even the ebon hawk Carl can't think of a way to go to a planet like mars cause there is no way to get off the ship without opening the ramp and he doesn't think he can decompress the whole ship.

Ahsoka and Rex look at it for a bit befor Rex finally comments, " not bad. We can modify it but it should work." Ahsoka nods to what Rex said.

With everything settled they all got to work. HK and R3 went to a station each and both plugged in which made the machinery come to life and start scanning the ships and taking pieces off and putting them to the side. Then Carl, Ahsoka and Rex take the parts organize them out of the way. They continue with this for the next two weeks taking breaks often, as well as training and learning.

After a month and a half, with the help of everyone and the dismantling of most the shuttles and a few droid fighters, they had a ship that took up most of the hangar bay they had. It looked like the millennium falcon but the hull was sleeker and of cores it had the container that the falcon didn't have in the gap in the middle. Carl convinced them to paint it black saying it was for camouflage in space cause there's raiders and such. It was true it was for that purpose but mainly Carl just wanted to. The interior was almost the same but in the communal area they added a holo table in the middle of the room. They used the extra container as storage along as a decompression chamber with a ramp to go onto planets without an atmosphere which allowed them to convert more space to the crew quarters making two decently sized rooms. Other than those changes it's like the falcon in the movies.

Sad thing was because it took so long for them to finish all the preparations Carl only had half a month till he started school so he would have to see Rex and Ahsoka off without joining them. They discussed all this and decided that they would get everything Ahsoka and Rex needed and they would leave the planet in a few days at nightfall. R3-D4 would be joining them cause having an astromech on the ship to help with navigation will be helpful. The first thing they would do after leaving the planet would be to use the construction droid to set up a base. Carl suggested mars but would leave it up to them to choose. Then after that there main goal would be to find the power stone on morag and secure it. He told them that the power stone should be in a container already on morag and that they should replace that container with a similar one so people think that contains the power stone. Rex and Ahsoka wondered why but ultimately agreed cause it was logical to misdirect people with something like this.

For the next few days Carl with the help of HK made a spherical container that was a very complex Rubiks cube type Chinese puzzle that was very difficult to solve. When they found Morag they would replace this one for the other. He also built a side car for the speeder bike so he can take Ahsoka and Rex further from New York to take off from. He doesn't want the launch point to be traced back to his home.

When they had everything loaded on the new ship, which was named black hawk to go along with the ebon hawk, they were ready to go. Ahsoka and Rex had enough supplies to last them over a year with everything they capsuled. They then capsuled the ship and headed out the house to go further into the outskirts.

Once outside the house they could see it was dark out and Carl already had the speeder bike with the side car already set up to go. He got in the driver seat and said to both, " alright get on. It will take a bit to get a good distance away."

Rex got in the side car and with Ahsoka contemplating a sec she promptly gets behind Carl and put her arms around his waist riding tandem on the bike, "ok let's go." She says with a playful voice.

Carl stiffens from Ahsokas contact for a sec. He briefly looks back at Ahsoka who has an innocent smile but her eyes say a different story with mischief in mind. Carl shakes his head and relaxed. "Hold on tight then." Carl said and he could feel her tighten her hold. Carl couldn't help but have a small blush as he started the speeder and took off due to feeling Ahsokas chest on his back.

After about an hour they were finally out far enough that they felt it was safe for them to take off. Once stopped they all got off and Carl wouldn't admit aloud but he missed the feeling on his back from ahsoka holding him from behind. He was brought out of his thoughts when Rex and Ahsoka brought out the black hawk. He walked up to them both as they lowered the ramp to get on, "well I guess this is it." Carl said to them.

Rex and Ahsoka both nodded, "ya kid. We'll make sure to find that stone and bring it back." Rex said as he extended his hand and Carl took it.

Rex then turned to go get the ship prepped and ready leaving Ahsoka and Carl. "I wish I could help more."

Ahsoka rolled her eyes, "you said yourself you have things here you need to do. We can take care of the things in space for now, but I expect good compensation for all this." She said and added playfully at the end.

Carl couldn't help but chuckle, "I'll be sure to think of something suitable then." He added in his own joking manner. They both shared a laugh. Then before Carl knew it Ahsoka enveloped him in a tight embrace which Carl, for a second was stunned but then he reciprocated. After a few seconds it was time for Ahsoka to go. Ahsoka told quietly to Carl to take care and gave him a quick kiss on the cheek before running onto the ship and closing it. Not long later the ship took off into the night sky blending into the stars. Carl stood there with a dumbfounded expression and slowly raised a hand to his cheek where Ahsoka kissed him.
