15 Superhero-like Descent

Bullet Curving is a superpower that can be acquired through learning.

Apart from the curved trajectory of bullets, there's no fundamental difference between Bullet Curving and other shooting techniques.

This implies that even if everyone can use Bullet Curving, the effectiveness of the technique can vary from person to person.

The same shooting technique can yield different levels of precision between individuals.

This disparity might arise from innate talents or differences in effort.

Although the system didn't explicitly state the level of Bullet Curving granted by the Fate's Assassin reward, comparing it with the Bullet Curving replicated from Sloan makes the gap between the two quite evident.

In simpler terms, Sloan's Bullet Curving pales in comparison to the one awarded by the system.

The difference is as significant as hitting the bullseye at ten meters compared to hitting the bullseye at fifty meters.

With the advanced Bullet Curving skill from the system reward, Russell's accuracy in mid-range shooting significantly improved.

If he were to acquire abilities related to long-range sniping, he would essentially have no weaknesses in the field of marksmanship.

In fact, his long-range sniping ability was decent at the moment, comparable to that of a normal human sniper.

However, in this world of superpowers, the sniping skills of a regular human could merely keep up with the competition, but it couldn't be considered an outstanding ability.

After testing the high-level Bullet Curving skill from the system reward in the dim underground passage, Russell once again fully transformed into Venom. He followed the tunnel back to Sloan's study.

Sloan was dead, but the matter was far from concluded.

If he didn't want to be harassed by Brotherhood assassins in the future, he needed to send all of them straight to hell.

Textile factory, ground floor.

At this point, Cross not only failed to deal with Fox and the others in rescuing Wesley, but he was even forced up to the second floor by them, ending up back in the factory on the ground floor.

To make matters worse, he was injured now.

While he was indeed the most outstanding assassin within the Brotherhood, that didn't mean he could take on a group single-handedly.

Fox and the Gunsmith on the opposite side were proficient in Bullet Curving too.

The only silver lining was that Wesley didn't know Bullet Curving yet.

Otherwise, even getting back from the second floor to the first would be questionable for him.

By triggering his adrenaline, he managed to kill the Mechanic and the Butcher, among others, at the cost of injuring his left arm. He returned to the ground floor of the factory.

Now, there were only five members of the Brotherhood left on their side, including Wesley, who was still in his probationary stage.

Among these remaining five Brotherhood assassins, Wesley was clearly the weakest in terms of strength.

However, he was currently launching the most aggressive attacks, exuding an aura of recklessness, willing to risk his life.

Sold out by others, still counting money for others.

This is the best description for Wesley now.

Although the Cross is much stronger than Wesley, he couldn't bring himself to kill his own son and could only choose to step back.

His retreat made Wesley even more excited, as if he could avenge his deceased father soon.

Cross cowered behind a weaving machine, bullets flying at him from various angles.

Just as Cross was about to be overwhelmed by the bullets from Fox and the Gunsmith using Bullet Curving, a loud bang came from the factory's ceiling.

Boom!

The sturdy ceiling seemed to have been attacked by artillery fire, shattering loudly and leaving a huge gap.

Fragments of shattered bricks and beams rained down like drops of rain, pelting the factory floor.

The sudden rupture of the ceiling immediately drew everyone's attention.

Cross, Fox, and others all looked up at the shattered ceiling, scrambling to dodge the falling debris.

The person who shattered the ceiling was none other than Russell in his Venom form.

Returning to Sloan's study, he didn't choose to ambush Fox and the others from behind but opted for a more spectacular entrance.

A superhero-like descent!

Venom, the monstrous black entity, descended like a shooting star from the sky, landing in the factory and leaving a massive impact crater on the sturdy ground.

The shockwave from the descent knocked over the surrounding weaving machines.

Dust filled the air, and the scene was chaotic.

Upon seeing Russell's entrance, Cross and Fox immediately made different choices.

Without hesitation, Fox and the Gunsmith flicked their wrists, bullets tracing graceful arcs as they shot towards Russell like lightning.

Cross similarly raised his right hand and expertly displayed Bullet Curving.

Unlike Fox and the others, Cross didn't attack Russell; instead, he aimed for Wesley.

Bang, bang, bang...

Gunshots rang out!

The bullets fired by Cross and Fox hit their targets almost simultaneously.

Though both hit their targets, the effects were entirely different.

The bullets hitting Russell were deflected without causing him any harm.

On the other hand, Cross's bullets hit Wesley's chest with precision.

The bullets entered through Wesley's chest and exited from his back, leaving behind a conspicuous trail of blood.

Wesley fell to the ground, his face filled with unwillingness.

Fox and the Gunsmith didn't expect that Cross would "kill" Wesley at this moment.

Just as they were astonished, a massive shadow appeared before them.

Swish!

In his Venom form, Russell erupted with astonishing speed, instantly appearing before Fox, the Gunsmith, and the others.

Without giving them time to react, his claw-like hands struck consecutively.

The tall African-American assassin, the Gunsmith, was the first to be hit. Before Russell's powerful right claw, his robust body seemed as fragile as a cream cake.

With hardly any effort, the elite Brotherhood assassin was torn in half by Russell.

Crimson blood, shattered viscera, the Gunsmith's agonized screams, and Fox and others' shock...

This primal and gory scene played out in the factory, which was now in ruins.

After easily dealing with the Gunsmith, Russell flicked his hands, casually discarding the upper and lower halves of the assassin's body to the side.

The next moment, his right hand, stained with the Gunsmith's blood, grabbed Fox by the neck, lifting her off the ground.

Fox was one of the few female assassins in the Brotherhood, and she was the most beautiful among them.

If she wasn't an assassin, with her looks and figure, she could have easily become a Hollywood actress.

With an attractive figure, captivating appearance, and a seemingly innate aura of an "elder sister," someone like her was somewhat wasted as an assassin.

Russell habitually sized up Fox's appearance and figure.

Then, as Fox attempted to raise her gun to shoot, he twisted his right hand slightly.

Crack!

Without hesitation, Russell directly snapped Fox's neck.
