Chapter 15 Attack begins
Later that night,
This night is going to be a very long night for the Allens Family as well as people who are involved with them. If they can survive this coming tribulation then they will be on the rise and won't suffer any problem unless they go out deliberately looking for one or have someone target them.
But at least for a couple of years time, all of them will be at peace. This time they can prepare and solve the deficiencies which they possess or show in the upcoming test.
Terrence and Daphne laid in each other's arms wide awake and looking forward to what may come.
Normally, Terrence will be with his most loyal men and make preparations on how to deal with the threat, but since his son has come forth and explained the initial plan to him he decided to leave everything in his hands.
Although there may be losses under his inexperienced hands, it will not be the deciding factor.
Thomas has shown his parents the forces he commands. He didn't show them the underground forces and his lab there but he did show them enough to make them rest assured that nothing will happen to them.
But Terrence knows these are only for normal mortal threats if the supernatural and magic world is involved them they may as well be doomed.
He holds his wife against himself not only to assure her but also himself.
Thomas, on whom Terrence and Daphne decided to believe in this situation is sleeping in his room.
He is completely confident about this whole matter.
His parents know he holds an artificial intelligence supercomputer and some robots which are stronger than average soldiers.
With their lack of understanding about Artificial Intelligence, they only think it can only calculate things faster or can follow some simple commands. As for the robots they need continuous command and observation to work properly.
This isn't their fault. They have no idea just how powerful these things can really be.
But, Thomas knows the full capability of these things. The Artificial Intelligence which once ruled the entire world isn't something some assassins can deal with.
And, even before that, they need to withstand and pass through Floyd. The man was called ' The Man who never misses'. In the past two years, he has worked hard and Thomas has even infused a strengthening agent to him which increased his agility, dexterity, strength, endurance, vitality and nervous response.
All his initial attributes have been increased to at least double. He was already an apex soldier earlier and now he can take on a small squad of twenty on his own without much effort.
This strengthening agent is a cheap rip off of the Super Soldier Serum without the emotional enhancements.
There are about ten other people in the security team who has similar enhancements.
These ten enhanced warriors gave Terrence the assurance, meanwhile, Skynet gives Thomas the assurance.
If the assassins managed to break through them, then Skynet will deal with it.
The Allens mansion is a large mansion built in a few hundred-meter area, by a beautiful lake.
This is a great place to live as it is a little away from the hustle and bustle of a big city and in the lap of nature.
Normally there will be the constant chirping of frogs and toads from the lake, laurel Symes of cicadas as well as the occasional chirping of the nocturnal birds like an owl.
But, today all of them are silent and hiding in their homes. They seem to sense the atmosphere here and waits for the storm to pass before leaving their home.
The entire place is brimming with guards today. Not one of them dared to act lax today, especially after the special orders by James, the Security Head.
They were confused why their boss has asked them to be like that. Although they have been working here for years, but they have never acted like today.
Although they feel something might happen today but their number gave them confidence and were ready for all.
These guards aren't told about what is to come, but James as well as the ten other enhanced fighters are the ones who know about the real reason for such vigilance.
Floyd is at the rooftop while being on a lookout for the sudden arrival of attackers. He can see far and wide.
The mansion is built a little away from the New York City. But from Floyd's position one can see some of the tall building as well as the light in it.
He noticed something as the entire mansion has a blackout. Even the houses at some distance from the mansion and the tall buildings in the New York City has a blackout.
When he lights of the mansion is down, everyone began vigilantly. They all thought something may have happened.
Floyd remembered something at that moment. His young boss, Thomas has warned him that when the assassins enter certain areas around the mansion, there will be a blackout around a few kilometers radius.
Normally, he won't trust a kid of fifteen years, but Thomas is anything but a kid.
He warned his other companions who are on guard duty, " Michael, be prepared. Young boss warned that it may happen when the attack is about to begin. "
There is no reply from Michael for some time. The other super soldier replied back in the radio a couple of minutes later, " It seems you are right. My squad is ten men down. But we only took out four people on our side.
I have sent warning to Billy, Clark and Gareth about their arrival too.
You should be prepared with your sniper gun which young boss made specifically for you."
Floyd looks at the sniper rifle by his side. It was a specifically designed for him as a multi caliber modular system.
In the hands of an ordinary sniper, it can effectively hit the target at a range of 1500 metre on normal elevation and about 2000 metres from an elevated platform.
In Floyd hands, he can hit an ant in 2500 metre radius.
After the warning, he picked up his sniper rifle. He activated his special night mode enabled scope looked for his target.
He saw multiple targets walking through the trees around the mansion grounds.
" It seems there are around fifty people who are coming here. Even after facing Michael, Billy and Ron they can come here, means they are all strong."
He mumbles after which he leveled his sniper rifle and aligned it to aim at them.
He made five consecutive shots from the top which warned the others of the arrivals.
With these five shots, five people are down.
" It seems that war has begun." Terrence mumbles from his position on the bed.
