The Arrogant Young Master

Back on Earth, ships were capable of reaching speeds capable of breaking the sound barrier. yet in this world, they didn't break the sound barrier even when they reached speeds above that of sound.

instead of pushing through with pure strength, causing unwanted effects to happen to the land around you, they instead mastered the control of speed. allowing them to skillfully move and use their speed to the fullest,

the ship and many other things were created with this in mind. you don't want your ship to explode into flames when its speed was too high.

Sora didn't focus on cultivation while on the ship, he was instead forced on reading a few books his father had placed on the ship for him to read. they were all books on the Blue Sky Sect.

the Blue Sky Sect was a sect that has been around for a little over 500 years, with a cultivator at the peak of the Nascent Soul realm as its sect leader, this sect was considered the overlord of this area, all of the cities from 1-star cities to 2-star cites are considered under its responsibility.

This area was a whole country, with about 75 cities, 50 of which were 1-star cities, and 25 of which were 2 stars. As one could guess, this was only a small country, only 150,000 square miles.

With the current Speed Sora was traveling, it would take him a few hours to arrive at the sect, well, a branch of the sect. he was not going to head to the main branch of the sect, just to get bullied by someone with a high background, and be forced to swallow his rage until he was strong enough.

Instead, he is going to a sect where he was sure he could take care of any trouble that could come his way. but this meant making sure he was taking everything that come his way seriously, because, in those novels, even an ant would shockingly know someone or something, that would lead the said ant to run off and bring him unneeded trouble,

The Branch they headed to was located in the City called Red Iron City, a 2-star city with a level 2 Nasecont soul realm expert acting as the mayor. before entering the city, and to not catch unneeded attention, Sora went on to get off the ship, and switch it for another ship that would not be too eye-catching,

after which, he and the others flew on to ship, heading to the entrance of the city. This city was huge, far bigger than Sora City, this city was about 1,000 square miles, which was just huge for a city, it was about twice as big as his city.

"Name..." A guard said while sizing Sora up, along with those around him and the ship they were on. It was common for the guards at the entrance to bully others, forcing them to cough up a lot of money just to have them enter the city. but the guard had a hard time even thinking of that with Sora... you ask why?

Sora was standing there with such a disdainful look in his eyes, fanning himself with his nose pointing straight at the sky. He was too high up to even see them, this brat must be from a powerful background. then there were those guards around this brat, they all gave him an uneasy feeling. this brat was not normal.

"Snort, you want to know this young master's name? do you expect me to go around telling every cat and dog I see my name?" Sora asked, enraged that those lower lifeforms would even dare to think of knowing his all-mighty name.

meanwhile, Cherry and the others were stunned hearing how their young master was acting, was this that kind and gentle lord they loved, and looked after? what happened to him?

"No, sir. We need your name to register you." The Guard said respectfully, Sora looked at them with complete disdain, before waving at Cherry to give them the names. after which, she paid the few and they entered, not bothering to even give them a second look.

"Acting arrogant is such a pain," Sora said while cracking his neck, hearing his words, Cherry and the others who thought they saw the true face of their young master almost fell over.

"Why were you acting?" Cherry asked in confusion, to which Sora shut the fan with a loud chop sound, making Cherry jump slightly.

"Because... people like to pick on the weak. would another young master easily bully me without knowing who I am? being arrogant is a shield, but being too arrogant can also backfire. One needs to find a balance." Sora asked calmly, making the group quiet while looking at Sora with a weird look.

Sora stayed home all his life, never going too far from home, yet he was here speaking as if he was some all-knowing sage.

Sora didn't explain anything and simply looked outside the ship while they flew towards the branch within this city. it took some time, about 40 minutes before the ship landed in a ship parking zone.

of course, the ship didn't land or touch the ground. it stayed floating right above the ground, outside of the Blue Sky sect. Sora went on step out and entered the building where he went to go find a place to enroll. after asking around within the building, he was pointing there, which was pretty much the office, where he saw the vice sect master.

"You're here to join the sect?" the Vice Sect master asked calmly, of this branch he was the one who looked after the enrollment of others entering the sect. normally, he wouldn't personally see others like Sora who were not taking part in the exam which happened rarely to take in sect disciples, but Sora seemed to have a powerful background, so he was showing face.

"Yes, I was given this token by a friend of my father. I wish to stay in this branch for a few months before heading to the main branch to cultivate." Sora said calmly as he took out the Token Lin Fin gave him, the vice sect master's eyes widened seeing this, how could he not be shocked?

This token could allow Sora to skip everything and instantly become a sect disciple within the main branch of the sect, so, of course, he was shocked. He looked at Sora for some time, a friend of his father gave this to him? this kid's background was... huge.

But forget that, Sora just said he chose to come here before heading to the main branch of the sect. this was good news, if Sora did this it would main their branch would be rewarded highly by the main sect if Sora's talent was that high.

Sora of course knew all of this, he had to look special in the eyes of this guy. This would then lead to him being spoiled, that's right... Sora wanted to take the role of the arrogant young master, who he the favorite of others.

Sora's plan worked, the vice Sect leader pretty much began licking his feet, doing everything in his power to make Sora feel at home, before rushing off to report this to the sect leader of the branch. The reason the voice sect leader acted like this was that Sora was arrogant, and even hinted that he would leave and join another branch if he didn't like it there.

The Sect leader rushed out to personally see Sora's enrollment into the sect, Sora was not too arrogant, as he didn't want to be hated. but once his enrollment was complete, it didn't take long for trouble to come seeking him

"Snort, so you're the one with the main sect token? I don't see anything so special about you." A young man said with a cold glare while walking up to Sora who was just walking out of an alchemy store, where he bought a few pills to help in his cultivation,

"Did I ask?" Sora asked not bothering to even look at the young man. the young man had spoken loudly, leading to a crowd gathering. Everyone was shocked to hear Sora had the main sect token, but Sora's reply made them speechless. this guy didn't even bother to put the young man in his eyes,

Notification of everyone's reactions around him went off. The young man was enraged, how could he not? he was here to test Sora's strength, a personal request by the sect master. yet Sora didn't even bother to knowledge his existence,

"Are you running away? what are you without that Token? you had to take the back door knowing you would embarrass yourself." He yelled, causing Sora to freeze in his footsteps,

"Are you trying to prove me into fighting you? come, I give you 3 moves." Sora said calmly, enraging the young man. he was similar to Sora at level 7 body tempering, they were the same and were not that talented. how could Sora be so old, yet only at level 7 body tempering, he couldn't accept this.

With a step, he shot towards Sora with a fist shooting forward. the image of the tiger claw shooting towards Sora appeared over that fist, while Sora simply pointed forward. with one finger, and one finger alone, Sora tapped the incoming fist, stopping it with great ease.

the wind from the fist shot forward, making his clothing wave around slightly before returning to normal. the young man's eyes widened seeing this, no matter how much he wanted to push forward, he couldn't. he couldn't even shake Sora's finger,

"You thought that because we were on the same level we were equal? No, you got me all wrong. My cultivation is low because I'm powerful. the resources I need are more than what you can handle." Sora said calmly, seeing the young man pulling his fist back.

Pulling out a fan, Sora calmly fanned himself while looking at the young man, and pointed the fan at the young man.

"you have 2 more moves, be grateful I even bother to knowledge your existence," Sora said with a sneer, the young man was horrified while looking at like. he already knew he was no match for him,

A notification popped up which caught Sora's attention, secretly sneering, Sora looked at the young man. This young man was most likely put up to this task by the vice sect leader, and other elders. with Sora's cultivation and age, they would of course question how Sora got his hands on the token and so on, but this allowed them to confirm things, if Sora was not worthy of a token, then who was?

"I surr..." The young man wanted to surrounder, but with a wave of the fan, he was sent flying away, slamming hard into a tree on the side of the road. Shutting his fan, Sora turned and left. taking the role of an arrogant young master was hard work, he couldn't be too arrogant, but he also had to know the differences between pride and arrogance.

at the same time, he had to show that he was not so easy to mess with, this meant not being so nice to those who mess with him. it was pretty much a show of strength. Upon arriving at the building he was staying at, he was greeted by the sect master who told him he was welcome to enter the cultivation chamber, which was 10 times better than the one he used back home.

At the same time, he was given some resources to cultivate, along with some techniques he might like, Before he left. Sora didn't bring up the subject of the young man, and neither did the sect master. but that matter was not over yet as the young man he beat up had an elder brother, who was not happy with his little brother being injured.

Sora's name spread within the sect, so now and then, he left to go get some SP, but one day while out, he bumped into the elder brother of the young man he fought.
