1 The Apocalypse

The sky looked dark, the sound of scream mixed with indistinct groans rang loudly in the air. A group of people were seen running away from the pursuit of something that could no longer be considered as a human.

"Damn it! I can't die here!" Theodore shouted angrily.

The people Theodore hired to protect him ran ahead and left him behind.

With all his might Theodore ran to save himself, because he felt that the zombie's shuffling steps were close to their group.

Because Theodore was busy running with all his strength, he didn't know what the people he hired were planning behind his back.

Without Theodore realising it, he felt his body being pushed towards the horde of zombies who were chasing them.

"At least by giving up your life, you can buy us some time." The man who pushed Theodore grinned, then quickly ran away leaving Theodore behind.

Theodore's shrill scream in pain was heard as he was attacked by a horde of zombies who crazily tore his body into pieces.

At the end of his life Theodore felt tremendous pain, even though he died with his eyes open in fear.

Ding!

[Sacred Dimension System has appeared!]

[Binding into Host body ....]

[Waiting ....]

[Binding is complete]

. . .

Theodore opened his eyes with a shock, even his body immediately got up in a sitting position with sweat flooding on his body.

Hearing the sound of Theodore's breathing, his eyes moved wildly to look around him.

One thing Theodore realised was that he was very familiar with this environment, it was his room that he stayed in three years ago before the apocalypse.

Realising something was strange Theodore also looked at his hands which were still smooth without any slightest wound, very different from his hands before he died which were full of small wounds and felt dull.

"No way!"

Theodore hurriedly got up from his bed and ran to the large mirror in his room.

"I haven't seen my face like this in a long time." Theodore held his face in amazement.

Theodore's reverie was broken when he heard the ringtone of his smart phone on the table near his bed.

The first thing Theodore realised after he held his phone was the date on it which was June 20, 2027.

Theodore was so astonished that he ignored the incoming call. He still couldn't believe what he was seeing.

"No way... no way this is happening ...."

"How can I go back to three years ago?" So confused by what was happening, Theodore fell to the floor.

Theodore's body shook as he realised that he had been given a second chance to improve his life.

But, still, just six months from now there would be many natural disasters, and the appearance of the undead that had only existed in movies.

"The hell with it!" Theodore ran out of his room and went to the kitchen.

During the survival of the apocalyptic life, it was very difficult to get food. In fact, they had to be grateful for surviving.

The first thing Theodore did was to open his magnificent two-door refrigerator and see what was in there.

Theodore quickly pulled out meat, bread, sausages, and whatever snacks he could eat.

"I don't know how long it's been since I've been able to eat any of this!" Theodore rejoiced when he found a lot of food in his fridge.

Theodore ate whatever he could eat right away like a starving man who had never eaten.

After savouring the food he hadn't been able to eat in a long time, Theodore refocused on what he was currently facing.

Since Theodore had gone back in time, he began to remember what would happen in the present. As a wealthy second-generation young man and the only child in his family, Theodore's wealth was abundant.

But, before that, Theodore remembered that there was a problem around this month. Two months ago both of Theodore's parents had just passed away, that's why he was alone in this house right now.

And now Theodore's father's family was also eyeing the inheritance that had been given to him, this problem had been troubling him ever since.

"The first thing I have to do is avoid this problem from happening." Theodore had already decided to avoid any problems arising in the future.

Because of this problem Theodore could not inherit his family's property and was instead busy feuding with his father's family and causing himself to be trapped inside the Apocalypse without any preparation.

But, besides that Theodore realised that all this time there was a transparent screen in front of him, at first he thought it was just his illusion.

The problem is that until now the transparent screen has not disappeared from his sight. In fact, now Theodore saw a sign like a mailbox flickering in front of him.

Out of curiosity, Theodore finally stretched out his hand trying to touch the transparent screen.

Although Theodore could touch it, nothing happened after he pressed the mailbox sign on the screen.

"Should I call it?" For some reason at this moment Theodore was reminded of how the game he used to play ran.

There was no harm in trying, Theodore then muttered the word mailbox and sure enough his mailbox opened and there he had two unopened messages.

"System?" Theodore frowned when he saw the top message.

And there was written a sentence that said the Sacred Dimension System is completely sync. Theodore currently felt like he was experiencing the stories in the novel.

[Welcome to the Sacred Dimension System service!]

Theodore widened his eyes in surprise when he heard a voice inside his head, not expecting the system to actually speak to him.

Even though Theodore could not believe that he had returned to the past, now he was also surprised by the arrival of this system. Is there a possibility that this system helped him return to the past?

"S-system! I have something to ask." Although still confused, Theodore finally decided to ask it directly to the system.

[Just say it, Host]

"Did you the one who got me go back to the past like this?" Finally that question came out of Theodore's mouth.

[You could call it like that. Since the Host had a big regret in his previous life and it fits into this system, you are now the Host of this system]

"Then, what do I get after connecting as a host with you?" asked Theodore.

Suddenly in front of Theodore, a transparent screen appeared with the words:

['Does the Host wish to enter the Sacred Dimension'

Yes | No]

Without thinking Theodore pressed 'Yes' and instantly his body disappeared from there, leaving an empty house that looked like nothing had ever happened there.
