2 Chapter 2: Lottery

A black-haired boy with blue eyes could be seen walking the streets of Japan. Many people stared at him, as it was unusual to see a Japanese person with blue eyes. Additionally, the boy was quite attractive, although he appeared a bit worn out. His eyes had dark circles, and his body seemed to be in poor condition, as if he hadn't been eating well. However, his eyes still showed great determination and a hint of happiness.

While everyone was looking at the boy with a serious and ethereal appearance, his thoughts were completely different from his exterior. 'So, this is Japan. It's amazing, it feels like I'm in one of those animes that the boss usually watches.' thought the boy named Hideo as he discreetly observed his surroundings, not wanting people to look at him strangely.

'Well, I suppose I'll have to get used to it if I plan on living here from now on, but first I have to claim the money and help my brothers and sisters.'Hideo thought as a small smile appeared on his face.

A strange woman caught a glimpse of this and her eyes sparkled as she looked at Hideo strangely. Hideo noticed this strange reaction and decided he didn't have time for such things, so he entered a peculiar store, hoping the girl would leave soon.

'I'm sorry, girl, but I don't have time for these things.' Hideo thought as he sighed, reminiscing about his life.

He grew up in an orphanage in a Western country, and his appearance always stood out due to his Asian face and blue eyes, giving him a very exotic look. However, the truth was that he had never lived in Japan, so he couldn't speak Japanese, making dealing with the girl a big problem.

'After almost 15 hours of traveling, I need to rest, but I need to find the hotel they reserved for me.' Hideo thought as he checked the location on his phone.

While Hideo was distracted, a very cheerful girl approached him and spoke to him.

"Hello, would you like to try our lottery?" said the girl with a smile in perfect Japanese.

Hideo, upon looking at the girl who apparently worked in the store, maintained his serious expression, but inside, he was thinking something else.

'What did she say? I don't know any Japanese, even though I might look like one.' Hideo thought as he analyzed his big problem.

"Don't worry, it's free, you don't have to worry about money." said the girl, realizing that Hideo wasn't responding. She sensed that Hideo didn't have money based on his appearance.

'What is this girl supposed to be saying? Well, whatever, I'll just nod my head, and she should leave after that or something.' thought Hideo as he nodded his head to the girl.

The girl smiled and dragged him through the store.

"???" Hideo stood there, astonished. 'What on earth? Why is she dragging me along? Is she going to take advantage of me?' Hideo whispered to himself while staring at the store's ceiling.

"Are you okay?" the concerned girl asked when she noticed Hideo whispering in another language.

Hideo simply nodded with a serious expression, and the girl didn't push further, continuing to pull him along.

Sigh 'I should stop nodding to everything; one day, I'll get into trouble. Well, whatever, she doesn't seem like a bad girl, so there shouldn't be any issues.' In reality, Hideo wasn't worried because as the girl dragged him, he searched for a translation app on his phone, prepared to clarify the misunderstanding.

After walking for a few more seconds, they reached the end of the store. There was a long line of people, but the girl led Hideo directly to the front. As they approached, they overheard something interesting.

"Congratulations, you're the first-place winner!" exclaimed an employee of the store, as a bell rang, and a wide smile appeared on their face.

After that, the girl guided a seemingly ordinary-looking guy through a door located behind the employee.

As everyone applauded, Hideo arrived at the spot, and everyone looked at him with surprise, instinctively making way for him. Hideo wore a serious expression as he noticed everyone's curious gazes.

'I'd like to know what's happening, why everyone cleared the path for me, and what that man shouted.' Lost in his thoughts, Hideo reached a lottery machine.

"It seems everyone wants to test your luck, sir, so you can take your turn," the girl said with bright eyes, looking at Hideo.

Hideo nodded rigidly, but inside he was confused. 'Am I supposed to spin this machine?' Hideo looked around and saw everyone staring at him with expectant, shining eyes, waiting to see what he would get.

Hideo approached the machine and spun it.

"Congratulations, you've won the grand secret prize!" exclaimed the man as all the workers applauded.

"Wait, really?"

"I didn't know this kind of thing existed?"

There were various reactions from the crowd, but everyone was surprised and jealous of Hideo.

"Congratulations, please come inside to claim your prize, and I'll explain everything," said the girl who had been guiding Hideo into the store, with a smile.

Hideo nodded. 'Wait, why did I nod again? What the heck is happening?' Hideo didn't know why, but his instinct was telling him to enter the store. After Hideo entered the store, everyone continued talking about the lucky guy.

"I didn't expect that prize to exist, but well, the cellphone is still available." said a guy named Yukki Kakeru in a whisper, unaware that his destiny had been snatched away.

Hideo, who entered the store, was surprised because the interior was completely different from the outside. It was a very large space, and all the walls and floor resembled chessboards. At the end of the room, there was a table, and a woman dressed in black and white stood with the person who had entered before Hideo, in front of a lottery machine similar to the one outside but exuding a different, more mystical aura.

Suddenly, the sound of the machine spinning was heard.

*Garagaragara*

"Congratulations, it's a tentacle-using ability," said the mysterious girl with a professional smile.

"Awesome!" the guy exclaimed with a smile.

"Then I will transfer you now," said the girl.

"Yes, please," said the guy, and after that, he disappeared in a kind of magic circle.

Hideo, who was watching from a distance, was dumbfounded.

'I must be dreaming.' thought Hideo as he pinched his arm to wake up.

But the pain came, and everything remained the same.

While Hideo was assimilating the reality, the girl spoke to him.

"You're the one who won the grand prize, congratulations. Please come this way," said the girl to Hideo with a smile.

Hideo decided that he couldn't continue pretending to understand and spoke in English with a strange accent.

"Sorry, I don't speak Japanese." said Hideo, staring at the girl intently.

"Oh, don't worry, I speak English too." said the girl in perfect English.

"Great, ¿can you explain to me what's going on? what happened to the guy who disappeared?" would really appreciate it." said Hideo with a smile, finally able to understand what was happening.

"Oh, I sent him to another world." said the girl, waving her hand as if it were not important.

"Another world? Are you telling me he went to an isekai?" Hideo said, astonished. Isekai novels are his favorite genre, and he has consumed a lot of it, from anime to manga and even novels, which were his favorites.

"Thanks for answering. So, can you tell me what this strange lottery is? And what will happen to me?" Hideo asked, as this would decide his future.

"Basically, the grand prize is to transfer you to another world, and as an advantage, you can obtain an skill from the lottery. Unlike the person before you, you can spin the machine until you get what you want." said the girl, waiting for the guy's response.

'So, I have the opportunity to go to another world like those novels I've read. Wow, I don't think I'll have another chance like this in my life. My life would change completely. There's no need to hesitate.' thought Hideo as a reassuring smile appeared on his face.

Seeing the smile, the girl continued her speech.

"So, spin—"

"I'm sorry, but I refuse." said Hideo, his expression becoming serious.

"EHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" The girl was very surprised; she didn't think someone would refuse.

"Sorry, but I can't go to another world. The truth is, I would like to go, but I have to help my family. I can't leave them before that." Hideo said with a sad expression. As much as he would like to go to another world, he couldn't abandon his family at the orphanage. He finally got the opportunity to help them, and he couldn't leave them now.

"Oh, if that's what worries you, no problem. I'll take care of helping them. All your money will be transferred to them when you leave, as your identity will be erased from this world. You don't have to worry, they will be fine." the girl said with a smile, understanding the boy's words as it was a common concern, and her bosses often asked her to fix that to prevent indecisiveness when deciding.

Hideo felt that she might be lying, but his instinct told him that accepting was the best option. Hideo always trusted his instinct, so he nodded his head.

"Great, then turn the machine." the girl said, pointing at the table.

Hideo nodded and turned the machine.

*Garagaragara *

After turning the machine, the room filled with a rainbow light, and a golden ball emerged from the machine.

"What kind of skill is this?" Hideo exclaimed, astonished, as his instinct screamed that he needed it.

"It's my first time seeing this color." the girl said, very surprised, as she analyzed the skill After a few seconds, she said, amazed, "Congratulations, client, it's incredible."

"Incredible?" Hideo said, looking at the strange skill.

"It's all skills multiplied by 777." she said excitedly, as it was the first time she had seen this skill.

"Then I'll choose this one." Despite being the first skill he obtained, he decided to choose it because he felt it was the best option.

"Very well, client, I will start the transfer." the girl said with a professional smile.

Hideo simply nodded.

'Goodbye, brothers. I wish you all the best, but I think it's time to focus on myself.' Hideo thought, remembering his family at the orphanage.

"Good luck, client." the girl said, and after that, Hideo disappeared into a magical circle.

Hideo, who was transported, appeared in a white room that seemed to have no end.

"The transmigration failed? Where the hell am I?" Hideo exclaimed, surprised, as he looked around.

"Don't tell me I'm in a backroom." Hideo said with fear in his voice, expecting the worst.

"Welcome, young man." said an old bearded man who resembled a certain man that does things in the name of the greater good, speaking perfect Japanese.

"Another Japanese? Why doesn't anyone speak another language?" Hideo said, looking at the old man with a dejected expression.

"Wait, who are you? I was supposed to summon a Japanese boy with black hair, black eyes, and an average face, preferably herbivorous and in need of thousands of chapters to develop, so tell me, who are you?" the old man said, looking at Hideo with surprise.

Hideo somehow understood the old man's Japanese, thinking it was magic, so he didn't worry and responded to the old man.

"Even though I look Japanese, I've only been in Japan for a short time, and I don't know what I'm doing here. I was supposed to be transmigrated to another world, but somehow I ended up here." Hideo said with a serious expression, as he decided that this old man was his way out of this place.

"It seems like the summoning went wrong. I'm sorry, kid, you're not supposed to be here, and I don't think I can send you to the world you originally intended for," the old man said, stroking his beard.

"So, what am I supposed to do? I can't go back to my world, but I can't go to the new one either." Hideo said, his expression darkening.

"Don't worry, kid. I can send you to one of my worlds. By the way, I haven't introduced myself. Many know me as the Almighty, God, Level Zero, but you probably recognize me as Rob." said Rob as he introduced himself.

'Rob? Isn't that the guy who appears in fanfics? The one who grants powers irresponsibly?' Rob felt a stab in his heart. 'The guy who transmigrates or reincarnates people without thinking about the consequences? The one who uses his powers recklessly...'

"Sorry, kid, but I can read your thoughts." Rob said, feeling depressed.

"Oh, sorry, but could you stop doing that." Hideo said, thinking he was screwed.

"Don't worry, kid, from now on, I won't hear your thoughts." Rob said, regaining his cheerful expression.

*Sigh* "So you're telling me you summoned me to this place by mistake." Hideo said, looking at the old man in front of him.

"Yes, the truth is, I was expecting someone denser and more cliché, but anyway, to make up for my mistake, I will send you to one of my worlds as I said, and I'll give you a gift." the old man said, stroking his beard.

"A gift? I suppose they'll be limitless wishes that will make me instantly overpowered, allowing me to travel through the multiverse, gathering a harem and slapping people wherever I go," Hideo said with a raised eyebrow, looking at the old man judgmentally.

"Ahem, who would've thought my reputation is so bad, hehe," the old man said, attempting to imitate a cute expression, but seeing Hideo's disgusted face, he returned to his usual kind old man expression.

"Well, as you can guess, I won't do that. I'm not the one who does those kinds of irresponsible things; those are the evil gods." Rob said, looking at the white space as if he was looking beyond spacetime, which was true.

"Well, anyway, I can't give you unlimited wishes, but it's true that I'm going to give you a gift that will allow you to achieve all that. In return, I'll ask for a small favor." Rob said, a wicked smile forming on his face.

What he said next made Hideo smile in the same way.

In the infinite white space, an attractive young man and an old man could be seen laughing while exchanging complicit glances. After a few seconds and a few exchanges of words, Hideo disappeared, and the old man was left alone in the space.

"Who would've thought I'd find such a kind young man. He's better than the ones I usually summon. Well, anyway, I hope those arrogant old men and their transmigrators suffer. After that, I'll take care of them once and for all." the old man said, imagining a delightful
