1 chapter 1: Daily Life

In a small room of an apartment building, trash could be seen scattered everywhere, mangas strewn about, and a girl wearing only a hoodie and a pair of panties while playing on her computer. She was eating chips and drinking a soda, appearing undisturbed as she played.

There was also a boy with long black hair wearing pajamas, sleeping on a bed. As time passed in the small room, something happened.

"Come on, guys, heal me! I'm about to die! You're all useless. You should have healed me, that's why we lost," said an angry blonde-haired girl, but as she got angrier, her computer shut off.

"Uh, what?" said the surprised girl, taken aback by what had just happened.

"What are you doing so early in the morning, Gabriel? An angel shouldn't be acting like this," sighed a black-haired girl.

The girl had horns protruding from her head and was wearing a school uniform. She held a trident in her hand, which she used to cut the computer's cord.

"What the hell are you doing, Vignette? Valhalla is in danger, people are being attacked, I must help them," said Gabriel, with a panicked expression.

"What the heck is Valhalla?" asked the black-haired girl, her eyes empty.

"People who need help. I can't abandon them. It's my duty as an angel to help them," said Gabriel, clenching her fist with determination.

"You have to get ready for school. You can't skip again," said Vignette, placing her hands on her hips.

"School..." Gabriel muttered, as if her face had witnessed the end of the world.

"And you, Hideo, I know you're awake. Don't ignore the situation," said Vignette, looking at the boy who was peacefully sleeping in bed. After hearing those words, the boy opened his eyelids, revealing his mechanical blue eyes.

"Mm, don't involve me in your affairs. I already have enough with Gab kidnapping me at night to feed her and play with her," said Hideo as he adjusted his clothes and got out of bed with a sigh.

"Gabriel, you kidnapped him again..." said Vignette, her eyes wide open in disbelief at how brazen this girl was.

"But he cooks really well, and he's really good at playing. If I want to eat well and rank up, I need him," said Gabriel, nodding as if what she was saying was an absolute truth.

"What a disappointment. I still remember the first time we met, you said something like, 'My dream is to make everyone happy,'" Vignette recalled, her eyes filled with melancholy.

"You won Hideo and me over, and look at you now, you've become useless," Vignette said, her eyes losing their color again.

"Well, I don't care about any of that. My heart would rather see everyone die, except for Hideo. I need him to cook for me," Gabriel said as she tried to fix her computer.

"Can't you have even a bit of dignity as a woman and put on some pants? You know, I'm a teenage boy, and I have needs," Hideo said, looking at Gabriel in disgust as she displayed her panties.

"What does it matter if Hideo sees them? After all, you're my future husband," Gabriel said, looking at him like an idiot.

"Who the hell agreed to that? I never said I would be your husband. Admit it, you only want me for my wife skills," Hideo said, looking at Gabriel with disgust.

"Well, that doesn't matter in the end. I just must force you to be," Gabriel said as she reopened the game.

Although these words seemed casual and without much meaning, Hideo was breaking into a cold sweat.

"If someone else said those words, it would sound like nonsense to me, but coming from Gab, it scares me. Until recently, I thought I was the strongest in this world, and I probably am, but even I have doubts about being able to beat Gab," Hideo said, recalling the ridiculously amazing things Gabriel did as if they were nothing. He shook his head and searched for his slippers.

"You know, I realized something after coming to this world. I don't want to go back to heaven. I want to stay on Earth," Gabriel said, surprising the other two in the room.

"After coming to Earth, I realized that the 'me' who was an honor student in heaven was a lie. The real me is a lazy slob," Gabriel said, clenching her fist.

"I'll stay on Earth and laze around all day while eating Hideo's food," Gabriel nodded, satisfied.

"Because my true self is a useless angel!" Gabriel said proudly.

"Why are you proud of that?" Vignette and Hideo thought at the same time.

"You can do whatever you want at school, even if you're a demon, I won't stop you. I'll stay home and slack off," Gabriel said as she started a new game.

"Well, I'm running late, so I'll go ahead," Vignette said with a tired sigh, fed up with the situation.

"And you, Hideo, make sure to have everything ready for tomorrow. Don't let Gabriel ruin your first day of school," Vignette said, looking at Hideo, who nodded as he prepared his things to go back to his apartment.

Vignette was about to close the door to the apartment but stopped and looked at Gabriel.

"By the way, I forgot to mention, but usually useless angels are forcibly deported back to heaven. I hope that doesn't happen to you if you don't come to school," Vignette said, looking at Gabriel with a terrifying expression before closing the door.

Hideo glanced at Gabriel, who didn't move, while a dark aura emanated from her body. Hideo gathered his things to make a quick escape when suddenly he felt a chill.

"Heh heh, Vignette is so naive, thinking that I would be scared by such a small threat," Gabriel said, laughing eerily as she removed her hoodie and stood there in her underwear.

Hideo had things to say, but he decided to stay silent.

"The words of a demon mean nothing to me," Gabriel said as she put on her uniform.

"Nothing will move me from here," Gabriel said, now dressed in her uniform, as she opened the door.

"Well, whatever, I feel like going to school," Gabriel said as she left the apartment.

Hideo followed her.

"Ugh, walking is such a hassle," Gabriel said, her eyes empty.

"You know, you should exercise. At this rate, you'll gain weight," Hideo said, regaining his usual mood.

"Well, whatever. I'll use Jinsokutsuu to teleport to school. Although they said I shouldn't be seen using it, as long as I don't get caught, it should be fine, I guess," Gabriel said as wings and a halo manifested on her body.

"I have to admit, even though she's useless, she looks good in her angel form. Too bad she's useless," Hideo thought to himself as he sighed.

"Well, at least she's my useless angel," Hideo smiled as he looked at Gabriel.

Gabriel clasped her hands in prayer, a few seconds passed, and nothing happened.

"Aren't you supposed to be at school?" Hideo asked, looking confused.

Suddenly, Gabriel's face turned red, and she held onto her skirt.

"It can't be," Gabriel said, her face completely flushed.

*

In the classroom of a school, an empty seat next to the window, the well-known protagonist's seat, could be seen. While the class was calm, each student doing their own thing, a pair of panties fell from the sky with a mysterious light.

Upon seeing this, the boys began to pray to the panties.

*

"Did you really make a mistake and send your panties by accident?" Hideo said to the blushing Gabriel, looking at her as if she were foolish.

"Why am I so afraid of this useless girl?" Hideo thought to himself, but before he could continue thinking, Gabriel's aura changed.

"Since we've come to this, I have no choice but to erase those who saw it," Gabriel said, with a dark aura emanating from her body as she pulled out a trumpet from under her skirt.

Hideo's eyes almost popped out of their sockets as he looked at Gabriel in fear.

"Wait, that's the final trumpet," Hideo said fearfully as he approached Gabriel.

Gabriel simply nodded, and she was about to blow it before Hideo hit her on the head.

"You fool, do you want to end humanity?" Hideo said angrily as he took the trumpet away from her.

"But then what do I do? Surely everyone saw my panties," Gabriel said on the verge of tears.

Hideo didn't say anything and simply carried her bridal style.

"Hold on," Hideo said as his eyes gleamed.

In a few seconds, they arrived in front of the school. Hideo searched for the classroom and, upon finding it, jumped to the second floor, opened the window, and entered with Gabriel in his arms, who blushed under the astonished gazes of everyone.

There were only five students in the class since it was still early.

Gabriel, with a slight blush, saw her panties on the desk, quickly approached and tucked them into her pink hoodie.

"I'm sorry, guys, but this is necessary for the sake of humanity," Hideo said as he activated his god eyes, and the students fell unconscious. But before they hit the ground, Hideo moved so quickly that from the perspective of a normal person, it would seem like he disappeared for a second. When he reappeared, the students were all back at their respective desks.

If anyone saw them, they would think they were simply sleeping, which was true.

Sigh "It's a good thing there weren't that many people," Hideo said as he wiped the sweat off his forehead and looked at Gabriel, who was blushing and had put her panties back on.

"Erm, thank you," Gabriel said as she returned to her seat. As she sat down, her usual self-returned, and she slouched in her seat.

"You almost ended the world just now. Be more careful next time. I don't want to have to use my powers on my new classmates. Erasing memories isn't fun," Hideo said as he shook his head.

"Starting tomorrow, you'll come to school with me and Vignette. If you don't, I won't cook for you anymore," Hideo said, his empty eyes staring at Gabriel, who had an expression as if it were the end of the world, which could have happened a few minutes ago. She nodded rigidly.

"Well, anyway, I'll go back to my apartment. See you in the afternoon," Hideo said as he jumped out of the window, unaware that certain people were watching him from the classroom window.

*

Hideo found himself on top of his apartment building, sighing.

"I'm supposed to be relaxing and thinking about my own matters, and here I am taking care of a useless angel and a demon who doesn't seem like a demon," Hideo thought, though he couldn't hide the small smile on his face.

"Well, anyway, this life isn't bad. A normal life as a high school student. I hope everything goes well at school," Hideo thought with a smile.

"And even if this world or any other world has more to offer, I'll be prepared for it. Be it gods or even those useless transmigrators, I won't let anyone decide my destiny," Hideo thought as he remembered how he arrived in this world.
