Chapter 01

1900+ words in this chapter–Do forgive my mistakes and point out what's seems to be the mistakes I made..Also, I scrapped the logia plan for devil fruit and settled on a Zoan–Not a normal one of course..

Honestly, I have no qualms in dying right this moment, but I would be lying if I said that I am happy... Because I am not, as I was prepared by the guards to get hanged, my life flashed through my mind...

Getting my first birthday present, my first and only love, my doctor certificate and then my children...

As the rope was put around my neck, I looked at the last people who came to see me off, none other than my in-laws, I guess they too believe that I killed them..

As I looked at them, I could see the tears just waiting to leave my mother in law's eyes, she was always the best mother I could've ever gotten, not even my own mother did love me like her...

"I'm sorry, but I really didn't hurt my family." I mustered up all my courage to just close my eyes and smile at them, even though I could feel the wetness running down my cheeks, I guess my life is over then...

The platform gave out and I was now hanging on the rope which was around my neck, I could feel my breath leaving me, my lungs constricted and wetness ran down my legs, I began to feel light headed, but I somehow could hear my mother in law's sobbing...

'Ah... How I wish I wouldn't have to hear her voice like this, how I wish to be in a world with no injustice, and no sadness...' At that time, I didn't know that this was just the first of the screw-ups that the universe had prepared for me...

As the body finally stopped its twitching and shivering, only then did the two in-laws leave the place... and my eyes opened to the sight of a ceiling that I didn't recognize. It was definitely grand as far as I could see. I guess that I'm in heaven...

Though the voice that came from beside me had proved me wrong, a rough voice which was also laced with worry asked, "Vivi?! You're awake! Are you feeling alright? I've called the doctor for you."

Vivi? Who is that?

I looked to my left and saw a man with tanned skin. He had a wrinkled face, a tied-off beard, and long, curly, black hair. He wore a green robe with yellow edging, an orange and beige sash around his waist, and a purple coat. He also wore black shoes and a necklace.

Somehow, I could feel my chest feeling warm with a fatherly love. He's my father, isn't he? Even though I'm got my past self memories, I must embrace myself as Vivi, the princess of the Alabasta kingdom. Dealing with my trial for five years had matured me to the point that I accepted myself in the present as Vivi and truly disregarded my past self, which had gone by the name of Alexia.

"Yes, I'm alright, father. By the way, where are they?" I asked in hopes of meeting the original Straw Hats. I can't wait to meet them, as I've watched their story until Alabasta. Even though I only accompanied my children, I enjoyed this anime.

"They are in the next room," he said before turning serious. "I take it that you're going to want to leave with them?" He asked with a straight face.

Without flinching, I replied truthfully, "Yes, I'm sorry, but I'm already a pirate at heart, and no one can truly change that now." Yes, this is entirely true. I got my memories the moment I heard my father's voice.

And I accepted the fact that I'm indeed Nefertari Vivi. Yes, I'm a princess, but that doesn't matter now. I'm a pirate at heart.

"I see," he turned his back on me. I could hear him take a deep breath and then once again faced me. "Then I guess I can't stop you now, can I?" he said with a small smile.

I could see slight tears, but he had made up his mind, and I've made up mine. I'm going to leave with Luffy and my friends. If leaving means exile, then I'll gladly take that. It's not that I don't like my kingdom and my father, it's just that I liked my adventure with them more.

"Stand up, and come with me," he said, standing up and walking to the door. I did as I was instructed and walked to him. I noticed I am taller than I was before. Opening the door and walking through the hallway with him, both of us not uttering a single word.

Finally, I could see his bedroom, one which he rarely uses. I was wondering why he brought me here. Before I could ask, though, he opened the door and invited me inside.

I could see numerous shelves, his bed, table, and chair. Walking towards a shelf, he pressed some books which were inside it, and it moved to the side, sliding to the right. I was now surprised and shocked..

"Vivi, I know that I would never be able to change your mind, so I at least want to make sure you are safe when you leave us. Please take all of this." He said with a resolute tone that left no room for arguments. I looked inside the shelf and saw two small crates and a book of some sort, along with a spear-like weapon with a sharp tip and sides resembling a trident.

Currently, I am waving goodbye to my father and my family—yes, I consider all of Alabasta as my family. Looking at them, my eyes watered, but I quickly wiped it away. My thoughts went towards what happened these past few days.

It's already been three days since I woke up in this world. I've talked to almost everyone I know of. Kohza was a little apprehensive about me setting sail. I guess he loves me, though it pains me to say, I feel no affection for him at all.

"So, Vivi, what's in the bag?" Hearing a voice to my left, I turned around and found Nami looking at my hand curiously. I opened it and took the chest out. I left one of them at the kingdom with father. I also took the spear with me, and Zoro's been looking at it since.

Nami's eyes glinted when she saw some gold and jewels inside the bag. I chuckled, taking the chest in my hands and opening it. Inside, I saw a red dragon fruit with swirls over it, along with some green patches.

Out of nowhere, "Ooh! A Devil Fruit? Oy, eat it!" Luffy's voice came from beside me. I opened my mouth and was about to say something when a hand pushed the fruit to my mouth. Before I could even think, I involuntarily took a bite and swallowed. "Blergh!" It's disgusting.

Once again, before I could even think, I received all the basic information about the fruit as a stream of steam was released from my nose, like that of a dragon's...

If I had to guess, it was also because of this fruit—Mythical Zoan—Ryu Ryu no Mi: Vritra.

Luffy began screaming in pain as he held his hand, which was holding the fruit in my mouth. His screaming woke me up, and I looked to see his hand was red, like it was burned.

"Oi! What did you do?" Zoro's voice rang out as he looked at me with a confused expression. "I don't know, but I guess it's because of my Devil Fruit."

At this moment, Nami, who was absorbed in the money in the bag, came back and looked at us in confusion. "Ah, it was a Zoan Devil Fruit, a dragon fruit," I explained as they all looked at me wide-eyed. "Waah! Now Vivi-cwhan can protect herself better! Even if you can protect yourself, don't be shy to call me Vivi-cwhan!" There goes Sanji.

"Oi Vivi, that's a strong Devil Fruit, let's fight!" Luffy jumped up from the ground like nothing happened. Before he could say more, a fist hit the back of his head, which sent him to the ground again as Nami held her smoking fist.

"Ara, it seems quite interesting, don't you think?" A voice to the side came as we all looked at the door to the hall opened. A lady with dark hair and slightly tanned skin came into our view, Nico Robin.

"Quite the terrifying Devil Fruit you ate there, Miss Wednesday," her voice was soft, but it still had an underlying caution. I guess she would be wary of us, just like I am wary of her as well. Looking at our captain though, he seems to be okay with this lady joining the crew as he walked towards her and began to chat and such.

Chopper was looking at something, the book which I brought with me. It had something like Haki or something. Father said it will help us in the future.

Nami was also apprehensive about her joining us until she held up a small pouch filled with jewels and stuff. Nami was flattened like a pancake.

"Ah, what am I going to do with these idiots," I couldn't help but smile. Though before I could relax, Zoro pointed out something which we didn't notice until now.

"Were your teeth always this sharp, not to mention your nails?" Looking at my hands, I saw my nails had slightly elongated, and I could feel they were unbreakable. My body felt invincible and very tough.

"That's the Devil Fruit's doing, you shouldn't worry about that. Though you should try to train your abilities, unless you want to burn everything like the captain's hand just now," Robin pointed out, and I felt like I need to take this seriously.

The crew nodded along with her. Looking at Chopper, Usopp, and Nami, their heads were nodding like crazy.

Ah, my adventure truly begins now, I guess. Before I could relax once again, a sound echoed like a cannon was shot towards us. I didn't know what came over me, but I waved my hand towards the cannon ball, which sliced it into numerous pieces in mid-air, and they fell into the ocean.

It seems that I have some control over wind, as I looked at my nails. "Whoa!! That's so cool, Vivi!" Luffy's voice, along with Nami's, Usopp's, and Chopper's, echoed in the ship.

Zoro and Sanji were uncharacteristically serious. Before Zoro turned to look at me like a battle-crazed maniac with a grin on his face.

"You're going to train with me from now on."

Uh-Oh... I'm dead...
