1 Gatekeeper, boat rides, loud people
"Time to wake up, come on." a voice said from the darkness.
'Who is this person?' I thought as i looked around.
"I'm god. Can you open your eyes?" the mans voice said.
I opened my eyes and saw a stick person... 'Huh... Okay?' I thought and looked around the all grey room.
"Not going to comment? Freak out? Ask why your here?" the stick person said.
'what's to comment on? I died now I'm here.' I thought and sighed.
"You can speak you know?" stickman said.
"okay." I said quietly.
"....Well since you died before your time, I was going to ask where you want to go next." stickman said.
"What are the rules, regulations, restrictions, and other things?" I asked with a sigh, 'businessmen.'
"Look I'm just the gatekeeper god. I put wronged souls into different worlds. If you get a gift from another god, it has nothing to do with me. You cant ask for more than one world or a mash up world/ universe. I have no say over your life, I only sent you off." he said unamused.
"What a nice job you have, must pay well. I'd like the one piece world..." I said and looked the stickman in his eyes.
"I don't get paid." stickman said and shook his head, "Off you go."
"Well, thank you Mr. Stickman." I said as a portal opened beneath me.

I feel for an hour before somehow passing out and waking up in a childs body. My eyes blurry, my head dizzy, the surroundings cold. I yawned and blinked my eyes until I was able to look around. "Its cold because there is ice," I stated.
"And your fine with that?" a mans voice rang out behind me.
"What's wrong with ice?" I said and tilted my head. Realizing the situation, I looked around again. As a voice rang in my ears..

"....I know I learn fast and nobody thinks a child is dangerous." I stated and put my head upright, "I know I have to find Garp."
"Why do you need to find him?" the man asked with a frown.
"I was told he trains kids to be marines. Sign me up." I stated.
"....Alright, come along kid." the man said and brought me onto a marine boat.
"Hey mister, why is this island on fire?" I asked curiously.
"You will understand when your older. Pipe down and stay in this room." the man said.
"....What can I do?" I asked quietly.
"Read a book, color, whatever. Just stay quiet." he said and left the room.

~poof~ a little bit of smoke appeared with a dark fur ball inside it. As the smoke cleared, I could see a dark tan with black stripe tiger cub, however it had a black mane growing around it. Its head reaching to the top of my knees, close to a foot tall, I crouched down and smiled, "Hey, it's nice to meet you." I whispered.
"Are you the one who awakened me?" it responded.
"Yes. I dont have a name yet but once I do, you'll be the first to know!" I said and smiled.
"Thank you my lord! Aka is at your service!" Aka said quietly and bowed.
"I have these pills to help us refine our bodies. I want you to take these ones." I said and handed over five pills, "Get in the bath first though."
As we climbed into the bath and took the pills, the system put us into a meditative sleep to help us keep quiet. We had stayed in the tubs for six hours, black stuff pouring out of our bodies. I wrinkled my nose as I woke up.
'We need soap and a brush... tooth brush and paste.. geez..' I thought.

'Thank you system.' I thought and poured the nasty water out before putting new water in, washing Aka off before washing myself off. After a harsh scrub, we laid in the hot water as I brushed Aka again.
I ended up buying two towels for us to use. As we were drying off, the man entered the main room. "Boy, where are you?" he whispered.
"Here..." I whispered back.
"I brought you some food. Remember to stay quiet." he placed a plate of meat and bread on a table and smiled toward me.
"Thank you. I promise to stay quiet and not make a mess." I whispered to him.
"Good. I'll be back later." the man left the room.
"Aka, he brought food. Let's eat and get a light workout in before bed time." I whispered.
"Yes!" Aka said quietly and came out of the bathroom with me.
We quickly ate the food and I opened the training manual. Reading through the first stage, I sighed. As we did some light stretches, we went on to do 25 push ups, 25 sit ups, 50 crunches, 10 30 second planks, and odd yoga poses. We took a quick rinse and I exchanged an outfit ticket for an all black soul reaper costume with a captains coat.
After changing, Aka and I brushed our teeth and curled up in the bed. The moon was already high in the sky, as I laid there wondering how long I'd be stuck in this room. I turned to face Aka and buried my face in his mane as I curled up into the blankets and blended in with the pillows.

I was rudely awoken by an angry man in the bed, "Let go already. I have work to do." he tried to shake me off of him but I wouldnt let go.
"Nooo! Let me sleep here, its warm." I said quietly and latched on tighter. 'I cant believe I got this as a quest...'
[before bed]-

[back to present]
"I said I have work." the man said and tried to pry me off.
"So I have to be stuck in here all day again..." I said and looked down.
"....Fine, let me finish some paperwork and I'll be right back with breakfast." he said and patted my head softly.
"Okay.. You promise?" I looked at him with 'hope' in my eyes.
"Sigh. I promise." he said and left the room quickly.
'Aka, today will be a long day...' I sighed and thought.
'Can I come out now?' Aka asked.
'Yeah, come here.' I smiled toward the corner of the bed.
Aka came out of the pillow case and walked closer to me before pouncing on me. 'Carry me!' he said in my head.
I panicked for a second before catching him. His head laid onto my shoulder while his front legs hugged my neck, 'Thank you for catching me. hehe.'
I walked over to the table and sat on a chair, 'No problem. What to do now though.. Any ideas?'
'There is always coloring....' Aka said while looking around.
'Can you draw?' I asked him.
'Sort of. I'm more of a painter myself.' Aka said embarrassedly.
'Oh okay. Well that makes two of us then. Yawn ~ growwl~ I'm still tired but I'm more hungry than anything.' I said with a sigh.
"Where did you get a cat?" the man asked once he opened the door.
"I always had him? He is Aka, my familiar." I said and smiled at the man.
"Nice to meet you sir..." Aka said quietly.
"....." the man stared at us for a few minutes before speaking, "Well.. I brought oatmeal and some bacon. Wash your hands and you can eat."
"You wont stay....?" I looked at him 'sadly'.
"....Sigh... I'll stay for a little while. Let me sleep okay?" the man said and placed the bowls on the table.
"I'll be right back!" I said excitedly and dashed to the bathroom.

I washed my hands quickly and rushed back, Aka following behind me. We made it to the table and shared a chair before eating. No mess was created thankfully. The man watched us with an amused look on his face. Once we finished eating he told us, "I'm taking a nap. Dont wake me up."
"Can we lay down too?" I asked quietly.
"....Sure.." the man said before he himself went to lay down.
I smiled toward Aka and carried him to the bed, 'Hes odd but nice. Let his guard down way too easily though.'
'Agreed...' Aka answered in my head as he climbed on the bed to lay down again.
I followed after him clumsily as I laid down again between the man and the liger. Crawling under the blankets, I hugged Aka and prepared to sleep.
I guess we accidently woke the man up, as he spoke quietly, "Quit moving around and go to sleep."
"Sorry..." Aka and I said together. I hugged Aka tighter and closed my eyes. After falling asleep, I dreamed of my past life, the pain from being unable to have a stable breathe, the frail body, the inability to do what I wanted. Having reaffirmed my goals, I decided that being a marine was not the farthest I want to go. I want to to one day meet him as equals, so I need to work hard.

Having woken up, I felt a heavy pressure around my body and a chilly breath on my neck. I struggled trying to turn but to no avail. The arm under my head flexed as it pulled me closer, a hand on my thighs and another under me. Pulling me closer to the chilly breath and squishing me against silky clothes covered ice cube. I whispered to the man, "Your squishing me." The man didnt move or make a sound.
'Now I know what Aka feels like.. I'm sorry Aka, I wont squish you again..' I cried in my head.
"Stop moving...." a voice said softly near my ear as I was squished against him tighter.
"Cant breath!" I said and squirmed my body the best I could.
"Stop...." the voice said in my ear as I was hugged even tighter.
I squirmed more as I could barely breath, trying to find a way to make him let go. My decision was to bite him and hope it works out. As I opened my mouth, about to bite him, someone knocked on the door. The man twitched before saying, "What is it?"
"Sir, We have just got contact from vice admiral Garp. He says he will meet us tomorrow at Navy HQ." the voice outside said.
"Alright. Wake me when we get there." the man responded and took a deep breath. I hit the mans arm lightly while squirming and he seemed to realize what was going on. He let go of me and just went back to sleep.
I fled to the other side of the bed, breathing quickly and watched the man sleep. I shook my head and decided it was time to do more of the workout. Getting off the bed quietly to not wake up the man or Aka, I started exercising.
100 push up. 100 sit up. 100 crunches. 100 wall planks. I didnt have weights to lift so I set that aside before starting on yoga. I was covered in sweat and my body ached, so I took a bath and started reading some of the books in the room. Each book I read gave me mastery in the profession it was about as well as points into my intelligence stat.
Apparently I had fallen asleep while reading, since I was woken up by being put inside a box with Aka. I stared at the man with a questioning look. He smiled, "I wont shut the box. Just dont move until that boat leaves. Give them this note and listen to what they say."
I nodded and hugged Aka as we laid under blankets. The box we were in moved for a while, into the light, back into the dark, into the light, back into the dark and set down. The man whispered, "Be safe and stay still for now."
After an hour, I felt the boat move. 'Aka, were moving again. When should we get out?'
'The other boat already left, we can come out now.' Aka's voice sounded in my head. I nodded and moved stuff as I got up, pulling Aka with me.
"So you decided to come out after all." an old mans voice said nearby.
"I have a letter for you..." I said and took out the letter, "Here grandpa, read it."
"I'm not your grandpa! Give me that, what's that brat got to say about this?" the old man said and took the letter. After a bit, he laughed, "Bahahaha! What's your name boy?"
"I dont have one." I quickly said.
"And what about that cat?" he asked.
"This is Aka." I said picking him up and holding him, "We want to train to become marines."

The boat ride sucked. We were stuck in a room and barely fed for a week before the old man brought us to a forest. He told us to follow him so we could meet his grandsons. I just nodded and followed along. Three hours of trekking through vines and jumping over tree roots, we made it to a wooden house.
The old man knocked on the door and we waited for an answer. "What?! What do you want? I'm not buying whatever your selling!" a woman yelled from inside before throwing the door open, "So leave already before.... Oh it's you, Garp. What are you here for now?"
"Dadan, take care of this boy and his pet." Old man said.
"Oh no! You already dumped two kids on me. The last one hasnt even been here for a month and you brought another one?!" the lady, Dadan, yelled.
"Would you rather get locked up?" Garp asked.
"No! Of course we can take him..." Dadan said a little dejectedly.
"Grandpa!" a little boy yelled as he ran toward us.
"Luffy, come greet these two. They will be staying with you." Garp said to the little boy.
"Grandpa, who's he?! And he brought live food!" the kid yelled.
"Aka isnt food." I glared at the boy.
"Oh okay. I'm Luffy! What's your name?" Luffy asked.
"I dont have one. But this is Aka my partner." I said.
"You dont have a name?!" Luffy yelled.
"....." I stared at the boy thinking, 'he is a massive dumbass.'
"Well I'm leaving now. Bye." Garp said and started walking away.
"Thank you Mr. I'll work hard!" I yelled toward the receding figure of a man. Once he was out of sight I turned toward the people gathered outside, "I wont ask for anything, I dont need anything. I'll be off, bye." I said and entered the trees.
