Chapter 5 A bullet rips through New Amsterdam
I wake up at 5 to get ready brush my teeth and take a shower as I go to work. After a while I leave and head to New Amsterdam through the ED. I find Max with the reporter. Then I see Dora.
Dora:" Max"
Max:" Did you know that HCC gave Lou full access?
Dora:" The chief of Police just called. Its bad."
They both start walking away I head back down to the ED and find some scrubs to where as to fit in. The kid named Malik is taken into trauma 1 as I wait out sense its to soon to head in. A second ambulance comes in and its a 17-year old name Jalen.
Malik has pericardial effusion which is build up of blood around the heart. I wonder if I use healing what happens to his blood or if it will even work. I go in and use healing before anyone can stop me and luckily the healing works I don't know what happened to the build up of blood. Everyone looks at me in shock but I run as I'm not trying to get caught. They then take him to Reynolds. I hide in the supply closet Bloom is always in and I just use my phone till something comes up.
I go into the ED office room with the vending machines as I walk in I see Iggy and Max talking I go to the vending machine and get some chips and a candy bar and leave as they just stare at me.

MAX POV
Helen:" Where's the barnacle?"
Max:" Probably writing an expose about our coffee situation."
Helen:" Well, I can scope you now. I'm just waiting on jalen's test results."
Max:" What's going on with you?"
Helen:" Nothing"
Max:" -Red eyes earlier. Now you're mean-mugging. Helen, you know my biggest, hairest secret. So if you need to talk to me "
Helen:" You're the one with the "Nutella" Not me. So let's just do the scope before you get another page."

BACK TO JAMES
There is a camotion in the ED so I go out to see.
Max:" whats the problem"
Cop1:" The names javier Pegan. We found him filming in the ED."
Javier:" Yeah, because that's where y'all tok my brother. And now he isn't there!"
Max Okay okay who is your brother"
Javier:" How many people I gotta tell? Jalen. Jalen Pagan. He was shot in the back. But now nobody wants to tell me where y'all took him! My mom keeps calling me trying to get here from her job. Keeps asking me for news that I can't give her!
Max:" I understand"
Javier:" And now I got these two dumb ass rent -a-cops getting spicy over a phone.
I go over as their is gonna be a struggle and tell the cops to go.
Cop1:" We need to make sure he didn't film any hospital, personnel or patients. It's policy.
James:" Your brother is in surgery come with me we can talk about it."
He doesn't listen and starts yelling and they are about to fight kind of I grab Javier by his arms inside the ED.
James:" Their you go max all of you out please your blocking the exit."
Max and Javier go and talk they then walk to where Jalen is at I follow when Max gets paged I also rush to Jalen before its late. He is V-fib which means his heart beat isn't normal and he is already close to dieing. I go in first and use healing of course so he is fine. and doesn't die like in the show a lived saved nice.
I wave for Javier to come in as Jalen wakes up and they have a happy reunion soon their mom comes and I showed her to the room they were at. Everyone is going home.
Max still has cancer but I think i'll wait till he tells the others he survives his cancer anyways. I head home after going to check up on my clinic its fine so I go home and sleep. What a day.
