Chapter 5

After Kakashi disappeared all of us were confused. Sasuke on whether he should give his food to Sakura or not, Sakura was filled with guilt when Kakashi told her that she was the most useless in the team while I was just not expecting Sakura to be the one not getting the lunch...but I also liked how Kakashi told her directly this time that she was the most useless rather than making her realize that later. when both Naruto and Sasuke became overpowered.

I didn't touch my lunch box which was placed on one of the tree logs and just sat on the ground near the right log supporting my back on it.

"Naruto why aren't you eating your lunch? We'll be needing all our strength to take those bells from Kakashi Sensei in the next round.You better recover your energy by eating" Sasuke said, he had no plans of helping Sakura it seemed like...unlike how he helped Naruto in the original...but it does make sense, considering Sakura barely did anything to contribute to the team while it was Naruto and him who worked so it made sense if he gave food to Naruto."

I could see the disappointment on Sakura's face. Guess she expected Sasuke to give food to her and I was also expecting him to do that at first, to be honest.

"Kakashi Sensei said to not let Sakura eat or we'll be disqualified but he didn't said anything about us not eating our lunch. Since we are a team then how can we eat while leaving one of our people hungry and since giving her food will make us disqualified I chose the other option of staying hungry along with her." I said at the moment and continued "Anyways, when we officially become Ninjas we'll be needing to do missions where we would not be able to eat for days, what's this compared to that."

"But won't it affect our performance? I don't think it's a good thing to do that." Sasuke said a bit reluctant to stay hungry after consuming so much chakra while fighting Kakashi.

"It would, but so what? I can't bear eating when one of us is staying hungry." I said...they all didn't know that I had breakfast in the morning so I wasn't much hungry anyway...

After hearing me Sasuke also became reluctant to eat and placed his lunch aside and I could also feel that the gaze at which Sakura was staring at me changed.

"Thank you, Naruto, Sasuke.." She said giving out a pained smile, she still felt guilty about the fact that she was the weakest on the team.

After an hour Kakashi came and said "Alright break time's over...so you both decided to not eat your lunch...interesting..don't regret later when you all are sent back to the academy" Kakashi said acting like he didn't see and heard what happened between us earlier.

"We won't," I said.

Seeing that Kakashi was impressed...unfortunately, he didn't know that I already knew that the training was almost over.

"Congratulations, You all passed! You didn't abandon your teammate in their times of need and held the team together. Naruto I was not expecting you to have such team spirit. You'll definitely become a fine Shinobi."

"You bet." I said and smiled at him.

"Alright, we'll start doing missions from tomorrow onwards. Disperse." after saying that Kakashi disappeared.

We also bid each other goodbyes and I could feel that Sakura's feeling for me had changed. Feeling of gratitude I suppose.
