19.Kakashi

The next morning, the Anbu tasked to tail Naruto woke up feeling dizzy and with a sharp pain on his neck. He then looked around to see the dead body of Mizuki and also the two root Ninjas. He hurriedly checked Naruto still in the apartment and then the bodies of dead ninjas and rushed to the Hokage's office. Hiruzen had just come into the office and was smoking. The Anbu suddenly entered and kneeled down reporting "Lord Hokage, yesterday night, while I was watching Naruto, I was suddenly knocked out from behind. And when I woke up, I saw the dead bodies of two root Ninjas and Mizuki from the academy near that place".

Hiruzen frowned as he asked "Is Naruto safe ?" To which the Anbu replied "Yes Lord Hokage. I saw him sleeping inside his apartment. But the disturbing thing is that all three of them died by a senbone piercing their head without even time to react. The Killer must be very skilled and I don't know why he just knocked me out without killing me as well". Hiruzen surprised hearing the cause of death and his eyes were wide open. He then calmed down and gestured as two Anbu came down kneeling. Hiruzen spoke "Go get the bodies to the interrogation department. Also make a thorough investigation on the matter".

Hiruzen knew that the person who attacked and killed the Ninjas was very good at doing his job as he pierced their brain using a senbon with a small amount of lightning chakra frying the brain. So that no information could be gathered with the corpse. He was almost sure that the person had a grudge against Danzo and was also a Ninja of the village, but every time he thought about it, he couldn't find the culprit and he could only think of Orochimaru as he was the only one capable of this feat.

As this was going on, Naruto woke up and got ready. He then went to the academy wearing the leaf forehead protector he received yesterday after completing the exam. He entered the class and sat in a corner. Iruka then came to the class and started announcing the teams. Naruto was waiting as he didn't know weather he would be assigned to a different team as he had topped in the exam unlike the Naruto in the anime who failed and was dead last. After seeing the results everyone was surprised to see Naruto was on top and Sasuke clenched his fist in anger as he stared at Naruto. Naruto just shrugged and waited.

After a while Iruka announced "Team 7 Naruto Uzumaki, Sasuke Uchiha & Sakura Haruno. Hearing Naruto was also in his team, Sasuke gritted his teeth, but was also relieved as he had questions for him later. Sakura was also happy seeing she was in the same team as Sasuke. Naruto thought 'So they didn't change the team and made an unbalanced team, whatever! They must have decided the teams way back.' Then everyone left the classroom following their Jonin sensei. Only Team 7 was left out as their Jonin sensei had not arrived yet. Naruto knew Kakashi would be late so he slept.

After some time, Sasuke approached Naruto and spoke "You! What's up with you? How did you score more than me in the exam?" Naruto just shrugged his shoulders and said "Who knows? Maybe I'm smarter than you" Sasuke was angry and was about to say something, but at this time Kakashi entered the classroom and spoke "Sorry I was late. A black cat came across me and I had to take the long way around. Now, follow me to the roof". Then he flickered away from the classroom to the roof and was surprised to see Naruto pass him and appear on the roof also using body flicker. Sasuke and Sakura were also surprised, but Sasuke was more angry.

As they reached the roof, Kakashi spoke "Now introduce yourself one at a time". Sakura asked "Introduce ourselves? What are we supposed to say?" Kakashi answered "Things you like, things you hate, hobbies and dreams for the future. Things like that". Hearing this, Sakura said "Why don't you go first sensei so we can get an Idea". Kakashi pointed himself and spoke "I'm Kakashi Hatake. Things I like and things I hate, I don't feel like telling you that. I don't have any dreams for the future and I have a lot of hobbies". Sakura murmured "That was totally useless. All he said was his name".

Kakashi then looked at them saying "Ok, your turn now" Naruto stayed silent, but Sakura answered "Hi, My name is Sakura Haruno. My favourite thing is.... My dream is... (Kyun)" looking at Sasuke. Kakashi then looked at Sasuke who spoke "My name is Sasuke Uchiha. I hate a lot of things. And I don't particularly like anything. I'm going to restore my clan and destroy a certain someone". Then Kakashi looked at the silent Naruto and spoke "What about you?" Naruto just replied "Namikaze Naruto". Which greatly shocked Kakashi as he asked "What did you say Naruto?" Naruto just shrugged "I just said my name and I don't like to repeat myself.".

Kakashi had a wide open mouth inside his mask as he thought 'How? How did he know?' But didn't ask nothing more and said "Tomorrow, we are having a small mission. A survival exercise with the four of us. Meet me at 5AM at the training grounds and remember to skip your breakfast if you don't want to puke, but it's up to you weather you skip it or not. Now team 7 dismissed" He than flickered out of the roof. Naruto also flickered out to his apartment. Sakura went to Sasuke and started pestering him for a date while Sasuke didn't care about her and walked away.

Kakashi rushed to the Hokage's office and knocked the door. Hiruzen answered "Come in". Kakashi entered and spoke "Lord Hokage, I met my team today and that Naruto, he knew his origin. Did you tell him?" Hiruzen was surprised as he asked "What?" Kakashi replied "He introduced himself as Naruto Namikaze". Hiruzen frowned thinking many things and he replied "That kid is smart. He might have figured it out. Find out weather he has the will of fire." Kakashi nodded and left the Hokage's office thinking 'How did he know? Did anyone tell him? Or is he just smart like sensei and figured it on his own? Well whatever, let's see tomorrow'.
