When Kirito heard Jiraiya say that he had a mission for him he was not expecting that Jiraiya would bring him right in front of the last ancient fossils of this village.

The two people in front of him were the last two elders of the village after Hiruzen and Danzo's death.

Now he is not sure whether this is a power play by the elders or they are trying to see whether he is loyal to the village. Or more likely whether Kirito is loyal to them or not.

"Well, no need to make a target at my back. I already have taken down the more annoying ones already so I better just make sure that I present myself here as a good boy. But that is, only a good boy and nothing more. If they are looking for a puppet then I better dig another 2 graves for these two" Kirito thought to himself but did not say anything beyond that.

"Do you understand what is going on here now?" said Hamuro.

They just explain to him that because of his performance in the chunin exams and his help in defending the village in Orochimaru's attack, they are promoting him to the rank of chunin.

While Kirito was complaining that his performance was enough to get the position of the Jonin internally. The two elders quickly zoom past the entire promoting phase and directly jump into the ordering slash mission phase.

He was not even able to wear his chunin vest before they started talking about the mission. Kirito was honestly not interested at first but when he learned more about the mission he not only became more interested but at the same time a headache started to come to him.

This mission was the original mission which Jiraiya took Naruto into.

"Now you understand how important it is for you to find Tsunade and bring her back to the village," said Koharu.

"This old fart really believes that I will be able to bring that drunken back where most of the Konoha ninja was not able to even find out where she is." Kirito's complaint continued but did not show it outside.

"I understand," Kirito said and was about to get out of the office but at that time both of the elders started to talk about another topic which he did not want to talk about.

"Kirito Uzumaki, why are you telling others that your father is the Fourth." Said koharu.

"Because that's the truth," Kirito said and deadpan.

"Do you have proof that you are his child" ask Koharu. By her tone, Kirito was having a feeling that she did not like Kirito to use his father's name here.

It's not like he does not understand why. This not only brings much more attention to himself and grows his political power in the village but at the same time, the gossip among the villagers is something they are already worrying about.

Questions like why no one told them that Naruto and Kirito are the children of their beloved fourth Hokage. This will give rise to more critical questions like where is the inheritance of the Fourth Hokage and much more.

"No wonder they want to stop me here and now. Well, let's see how they accomplish that particular task" Mutter Kirito inside his head.

"What kind of proof you even need more than my and my brother's look," Said Kirito.

"So you want to tell us that you presume that you are the son of the fourth Hokage by just how you and your brother look" asked Hamura.

"No, not at all. I have done a blood test already and the test result is positive. The blood matches there are no mistakes in that" said Kirito. He has already done his homework way before he announces his real identity to others.

Both Koharu and Hamura were surprised at this but did not show that externally. Kirito only knew that his answer got to them because he had known their new face.

"May I see proof?" asks Hamura.

Kirito did it and Hamura just after seeing that the document in his hand was real. Falsely shouted that this document could be fake and did not give the document back under the pretext of checking it out later on.

"Sure you can have that. I have many copies with me. Do you need more copies to help in your work then tell me so I can provide some more copies for that purpose." Kirito said and internally smirked.

"Dude that might be the oldest trick in the book. Do you really think that I will give you the original document or will be foolish enough to not make copies" Kirito internally said to himself and his internal smirk widened even more.

"Hmh, if that is the case then I might believe you in your claim that the fourth is your father. But what about your mother? What proof do you have that this was a legal marriage" said Koharu.

"Did this bitch just indirectly tell my mother to have me and my brother without marrying my father," Kirito internally thought maybe this kind of thing does not matter too much in this world but in his old world, this is clearly an insult to his mother.

He did not show his feelings on his feeling but he was not honestly thinking about why he did not take care of these 2 old fossils when killing Danzo.

"Will a marriage certificate about my mother and father will remove your doubt about their marriage? " Kirito asked.

This time around both the elders were taken aback. And Kirito is fully aware of why. This is because the third Hokage hides the Marriage certificate.

Kirito internally smirks. He already has taken out many of the things which the third Hokage took from his father and mother. The marriage certificate is just one of the things.

He did this before killing Danzo. Thus Kirito is just amused at the elder's reaction right now.

"How did you get that" asked Hamura after getting back his wits.

"It was placed in my parent's house which I visited after knowing about them" said Kirito lying through his teeth.

Kirito had a triumphant smile on his face the entire time he was talking with the elders. Oh, how he will remember their faces then they told them that he did get everything but the money of the inheritance from the village and would like to get that back. He also ended up giving them the proof of his inheritance which the village owed him too.

Lastly, they wanted Kirito to hide his identity but he for the first time refused the elders directly on their faces.

When he tried to use their authority, he used the law to shut their mouths.

The law says that only the Hokage can give an order to the shinobi of the leaf especially in the issues like the one they were talking about.

By the time Kirito got out of the Hokage office, the elders were making a face like they had just eaten something sour.
