Chapter 144 : Another Grand Daughter (Rewrite)

Kirito took his leisure time to extract information from the shinobi.

"Hmm, so Dando was doing his backhanded work even at this time. I wonder whether the Hokage was notified of this or not. Shame I don't have any proof to point any fingers at him. This was a tough mother fucker. Even after this much torture, he did not open his mouth." Kirito muttered and started to walk towards the village.

Kirito had to say that Danzo brainwashed his puppets really well. No matter what he do, he did not get any information from his guy. The only way he knew that this shinobi is sent by Danzo was the small seal on this guy's tough.

" I should learn how to break that damn seal too. It would be useful one of these days.

Hmm now that I think about that, should I kill Danzo here? Hmm, I am really tempted to do it now. It's not like it's gonna change anything." Kirito muttered.

It took some time for Kirito to go back to the village. Actually, he just wanted to waste some time so those old crooks just started the meeting without him.

That was not the case. By the time Kirito came back to Ashina's office, he was smiling and directly hugged him.

"Hmm ?" Kirito was a little surprised and dumbfounded.

"Hmm now that I think about it, this guy did act a little differently when the clone bought back that Uzumaki girl. The clone did not stay long enough to know why though" Kirito wondered.

"Alright so I guess that this little girl I save is somewhat important to you," Kirito asked.

"Important, of course, she is important to me. She is my little granddaughter" Ashina replied with a huge smile on his face.

"You have another granddaughter. How many grandchildren do you have" Kirito asked with a stunned look.

Ashina himself was not that old. He was only in his late 40s.

"Only two. And I suppose you have now met all of them" Ashina said.

"Hmm, I see" Kirito hummed.

"I am the only direct living relative to them. My only son and my daughter-in-law died a few years ago" Ashina said.

Kirito nodded his head and looked a little down to give a little respect to the death.

"Since then both my girls have only me to look after them," Ashina said.

"Okay okay" Kirito wanted to end this conversation now. He was really not interested in knowing the entire history of Ashina's lineage.

"Since the death of their parents, both the girls started to distance others and don't get along with many of the members of the clan" Ashina went on.

"Dude, I am really not interested" Kirito wanted to say but now he actually got a little interested knowing that this might be the reason Ashina spoiled her granddaughter so much and this is exactly why maybe that granddaughter of hers ended up becoming such a bratty girl.

"As you already see one is just a little too proud of herself and another is sly and doesn't like to talk to others much," Ashina said.

Kirito pursed his lips and muttered.

"This guy is just like my previous relatives. Can't stop talking about their child and grandchild's deeds. No scratch that. They can't stop talking period" Kirito muttered internally.

"Alright alright, I would love to hear more about your lovely granddaughters but I have some more research to do and a sword to practice. And if by any chance I am fortunate enough. I might also get time to sleep a little" Kirito said and was about to use his teleportation jutsu but Ashina quickly grabbed him by the shoulder and asserted his Chakra.

Suddenly there was pressure inside the office.

"Where do you think you are going? We have a meeting to attend" Ashina said with his chakra rilying up trying to intimate Kirito but he still had a smile on his face. Like what he was doing was only talking to a minor like an innocent and harmless grandfather.

"Oh I am sure that a kid like me has no place in a meeting where adults like you talk about important village stuff," Kirito said with an equally cheerful tone but he too ended up adding his chakra pressure and a little bit of his Conqueror's Haki as well. Almost matches Ashina's quote and quote, subtle persuasion.

Kirito currently doesn't have much control over his Haki. His conqueror Haki is the worst among all. So he can either use it only the bare minimum which is only good enough to give a little boost to his normal killing intent or chakra pressure. Or he can outright blast his conqueror haki and that will pretty much make everyone in the village fall unconscious.

Feeling an equal amount of pressure from Kirito Ashina's face looked a little weird.

The stand-off was kept on for a little while until both of them started laughing.

"hahahahahaha"

"Hahahahahaha"

"You have to attend the meeting"

"I am not attending the meeting"

Both said at the same time. Ashina's eyebrow twitched a little and he signed finally.

"Brat I know that you are working hard to go back to your time but we need you in that meeting. After the war, you might not realize this but your presence in a high-level meeting can give enough boost to any propaganda I push." Ashina asked.

"What you talking what you want. What about me" Kirito said with a straight face.

"This brat is more shameless than those old elders," Ashina thought to himself.

"What do you want" Ashina asked.

"Not like I have anything to offer. You already have scavenged everything in the Uzumaki library. I doubt that there is any Uzumaki technique left that you don't know anymore. " Ashina said.

Ashina has learned that Kirito is not interested in money. He mostly shows interest in learning new things and getting stronger. So he really did not have much to offer him.

"Hmm, there is something that I might want. You see I really like this Ramen Recipe which I like and I am sure that my brother would love it. He is a Ramen lover you see" Kirito said with a little smile.

In fact, he himself knew that currently, the Uzumaki clan did not have any more techniques which he don't already know. His shadow clones were working really hard to learn and learn everything the Uzumaki had to offer.

"That's it." Ashina looked a little surprised.

"Yeah, I mean I know that you need me there only so that you can put a little pressure on those idiot elders. Believe me, I know how big of an idiot the elders of the village could be. And at the same time, it's a really good place to take a nap. I have not slept for the last 2 days." Kirito said and walked out of his office.

Ashina looked a little stunned but he did not care anymore. He just wanted Kirito in that meeting and that was it.

"One more thing, those Konoha shinobi are here and they will be attending the meeting too," Ashina said and Kirito at this raised his eyes.
