88 Chapter – 88: Deploying Shadow-II
[Third Person POV]
From where the masked man's hand had penetrated Yahiko's chest, sealing marks starts to spread and in just a few seconds, they cover every inch of his body. After sealing Yahiko so that he wont bleed to death and immobilizing him completely, the masked man retrieves his bloodied hand.
Normally, anyone would have the expression of fear for their life in this situation, however, Yahiko's is a bit different; he only has pure shock written on his face! In addition, the enemy would suddenly make such a lethal attack is only a part of it. The other reason is, he doesn't know when but behind the masked man, at some point, a teenager has appeared and this teenager looks exactly like himself! Now he knows why the masked man said he intends to become Yahiko...
"All yours..." says the masked man and steps back allowing the teenager to do his stuff.
"Well here goes nothing..." says the teenager and starts to inject chakra into Yahiko.

To efficiently use the Soul Descent Technique, Rei requires a parasite to be installed on the clone so that he can control it remotely, but there is no specific type requirement!
So this time, for controlling Yahiko's clone, he used Shadow-II; the newly developed one and now, he is trying out the ability of Shadow-II to split and attach itself onto a different soul. Normally, the parasite Shadow-II's ability is restricted to two souls in one body, there is a loophole in that. By saying the souls must be in the same body, it's not necessarily saying the same physical body! On further research, Rei had found that any physical body where his own chakra is present can be considered the same body! It's a bit confusing, but it works on the same principle as Flying Raijin, which can be used to carry anyone who has the user's chakra touching him/her.
Anyway, this is actually his first attempt at using Shadow-II on a live target. Also, the reason why he is using the Parasite instead of the Mind jutsus to read Yahiko's memories is that, he wants to copy the entirety of Yahiko, not just his important memories. From his research, the mind jutsus only have access to the memories of a body and not ones etched to soul which are eternal. So, there will definitely be many memories that are forgotten by the target which ultimately cannot be retrieved by using the Jutsus. However, that doesn't mean they are not good, on the contrary, they have many uses too; especially if one is trying it on a dead body!
Although it would have been enough to get the body's memories, as the matter of getting Madara's genes is of utmost importance to Rei, he didn't want to take a risk, so the current scenario is playing out,

[Yahiko Clone POV]
'Ufff... ' I exhale a sigh of relief and start verifying the logs and start looking for if the memories were scanned successfully or not.
"Well, that went better than expected..." I think out loud after seeing that the memories were in fact successfully scanned and stored and could be transferred to host whenever required.
Looking at Yahiko who was still on the ground, fully sealed; so much so that he couldn't even bat an eyelid, I could guess what is going on in his mind right now...
"Don't worry... I will take very good care of Nagato and Konan... while I am still alive that is..." I say to him and undo the seal which causes the injury to his chest to act up.
With that, Yahiko passes away from this world... at least he passes away with a little bit of peace because of what I said...

[Rei POV]
After getting Yahiko's memories, I called all my clones back to their safe places as once I begin to copy them to myself, I will be in an unconscious state; in which I will be unable to control them. In addition, I cannot let Konan and Nagato notice Yahiko's absence for long. Hence, this needs to be done as soon as possible.
After making sure that all my clones are in safe locations, I start the process of digesting Yahiko's memories. As he was only ten plus years old, it doesn't take as much time as Tsunade's or Hiruko's. Still, after a good couple of hours later, I wake up groggily...
"As much as I like the fact that the plan is successful... I hate this heavy headed feeling... Darn it! It feels like I gained a ton of weight but only in my head..." I murmur, "Well, that's the end of old Yahiko... from now it will be me..."

[Main Clone POV]
I have already replaced the main clone with the Senju-Uchiha clone a few days after the chunin exams ended. Currently, the main clone along with my teammates, sensei and a few of my friends are having a party; a birthday party to be exact.
"Happy birthday, Rei..." says Kazuma enthusiastically.
"Happy birthday, Rei..."

"Rei, you look a bit different today... how should I say it... more handsome?" says one of my classmates with a blush on her face.
Even though I have gotten really good at doing the surgery to make my clones look exactly like I want, there will still be some finer details that can slip through the cracks. Like for example this clone, although it looks exactly like me, it was made from both Uchiha and Senju genes, so it has a kind of charm that is hard to conceal. Anyway, it wasn't a major issue as most people would think of it as me growing up or something.
'It's already been ten years... ten whole years since I came to this world...' I sigh internally.
