76 Chapter – 76: Unique

While the main clone is busy handling the aftermath of awakening the Sharingan; on a break to take care of injuries, the main body inside the origin space also has his hands full with a bunch of ongoing research.

Ever since I found out that grafting inactive genes from the Senju bloodline can be achieved without any side effects, I have tried to find the best way to introduce them into my body as I believe grafting is a very crude way of doing it.

There are many scenarios I have tested like for example, blood transfusion! Will the transfusion of blood be enough to introduce inactive genes? If yes, then how many times does the process need to be repeated before seeing any significant results? etc. I have even tried bone marrow or organ transplants! Of course, all of my tests were done on clones…

Sadly, although some of my tests were successful in introducing the Otsutsuki genes, they had their own problems and none of them proved to be better than plain old grafting.

However, then it suddenly occurred to me, if a Senju and an Uchiha conceived a baby together, then what would the genes of the baby look like? I don't know if there was such a case in the history of these two clans as they have been the mortal enemies of each other for a long time. If I am to make a guess then I would say the baby would have all the Senju and the Uchiha genes in it and more importantly, all of these genes should be inactive when it's born!

Hence, if I were to create an artificial cell that, instead of my active genes, has all Uchiha and Senju inactive genes and if I were to then clone that cell, wouldn't I have essentially simulated the exact same thing? In addition, if my predictions are accurate, then this clone should be able to activate more genes with the Seal Of Ouroboros! That is because all the clones I made previously were from my cells and hence they were shackled to my power level when the cells were extracted and to break through further, they needed my cells again after my strength increased. However, this clone is like a newborn baby and has nothing to do with me. So, it should be able to activate them just like I do, with the Seal of Ouroboros!

The results of this experiment are of vital importance as this will determine if I will be able to activate different gene sequences of the Uchiha thereby activating different Mangekyo abilities! Essentially, if this experiment is successful, then I will potentially be able to unlock all the possible Mongekyo abilities and with my Eye of Nothingness, I will be able to copy and use them all!

I know there is a cooldown for my ability but I also know once I introduce and activate the Senju genes, the cooldown time will become lesser and lesser until one day it might even completely disappear after adding in Hyuga or Kaguya bloodlines!

'Wait… a… minute…'

'If I want to make a clone with inactive genes, why stop at just the Senju and the Uchiha? why not create a clone that has the inactive genes of all Otsutsuki descendent clans?'

'And if that clone can activate genes like me with the Seal of Ouroboros, will I not have Otsutsuki Kaguya level clones at my disposal?'

I can dream whatever I want, but not everything will go according to my wishes. It's already been a few months now and the main clone just came back from the Satagawa mission and I am still nowhere close to creating a clone that has inactive genes of all the clans…

I have tried it numerous times by adjusting various parameters however, nothing has worked till now. The cloning process is divided into three important steps. Cell isolation, Embryo creation, and finally Body development. It took me just a few days to isolate the genes and create a new cell that has all the inactive genes. However, everything went downhill after that because the cell I was using to create the clone seems to be too strong for the embryo to hold and nurture! As soon as I tried to create the embryo, it was destroyed…

Finally, after numerous failures, I am ready to give up and accept the fact that there is a limit to the current cloning technology. There are two ways to move forward, test out creating a clone with inactive genes from one or two clans and see if I can succeed, or improve my cloning techniques so that it can support stronger cells… and of course, I selected the former as the latter would need a lot of time and effort, and even then there is no guarantee of success. Whereas, I am fairly certain I will be able to create clones with just Uchiha and Senju inactive genes… However, that doesn't mean I am abandoning the latter as that is what I ultimately want to achieve... I am just postponing it for now...

'Mmm… there are a couple of options on who to target this time… well, there is no need to select right away… let me think about it…'

'For now, I have important work to do… I guess this clone I am going to create will be unique…'

I am not one to waste time. Once I decide on a strategy, I act on it immediately.
