[Rei POV]

'Let's see how many Otsutuski genes the Senju bloodline has!' I think with excitement as I repeat the procedure I did with Uchiha and Hyuuga blood samples.

After eagerly waiting for the centrifuge to stop, I analyzed the sample and found that the Senju bloodline has more Otsutsuki genes than the Uchiha but less than the Hyuuga!

'Although, it's too early to generalize as Tsunade's is the only blood sample I analyzed from the Senju clan and she has the Uzumaki bloodline too, so she might be the only one with the greater mutated gene count. But for now, let me assume that the Senju have more.'

'So, the Uchiha have 27 Otsutsuki genes, Senju have 29 while the Hyuuga with the greatest have 33!' I exclaim 'That should explain why they can get Tenseigan just by fusing Hyuuga eyes. So, more active genes equal more power!'

But there should be more to it, it's definitely not as simple as that. Because, among all the Otsutsukis I remember, I have never seen them use any eye power other than Rinnegan except Isshiki! That must mean Otsutsuki Kaguya herself was special somehow that even her descendants awakened different eye powers.

That's another mystery for me to unravel later, going back to the topic, after getting Tsunade's memories, I have discovered a lot of interesting theories for my Bloodline experiments that I want to try.

The first is obviously the easiest path I could take, creating an artificial cell that has more active Otsutsuki genes than mine. Currently, I have seven active genes. So, I will have to create an artificial cell with eight active genes, seven from me and one from any other Uchiha from my gene collection.

The way I did this is, first I isolated the genes I am interested in from both my cells and one of the other Uchiha. Then I created artificial cells by combining these parts on a host cell. Then I cultivated these artificial cells in a controlled environment.

I repeated this with all the twenty-one active genes I have collected and created artificial cells with eight active genes that have the corresponding active gene.

But to my surprise or not much surprise, all artificial cells collapsed on themselves. I checked the reason for it, and it seems my active genes and the introduced one were repelling each other.

I should have expected this, as only Yamato seems to have survived transplanting First Hokage's genes. If I am correct, Senju Hashirama, like Madara, should have activated all his Otsutsuki genes. The difference is Madara activated all Indra Otsutsuki's genes whereas Hashirama should have activated all his Ashura genes. And even Madara's body became disfigured after he added Hashirama's cells to his body.

Hence, this path to gain more active genes needs to scrapped. It's not safe at all.

Since active genes cannot be introduced, the next thing I wanted to check is what changes will occur if I introduce inactive genes from Hyuuga or Senju to my cells?

I repeated the same procedure, but this time I took all my Otsutsuki genes, both active and inactive, and an inactive gene from a Hyuuga and tried to create a new artificial cell. As I observed the changes taking place, the artificial cell starts to mutate into an unrecognizable one as if it became a completely new cell!

'I remember now, didn't Boruto get some weird eye power? Is that because he had both Hyuuga and Uzumaki genes in his cell?' I exclaim in surprise.

So, adding inactive genes from other bloodlines doesn't cause the cell to collapse but mutates the cell. That is my ticket to Rinnegan! But for now, I don't want to cause some unknown mutation to my cells, in turn, my eyes.

'Finally, the only path I have left is to somehow activate my own genes, ha? gene activating serum? No that won't work. I need a different way.'

I think hard about this problem and try to find any solution to it from the memories I have recently gathered until it suddenly hits me like thunder, "CHAKRA!" I shout in joy.

So, going back, from my earlier experiments I had already found out that compatible Uchiha chakra is needed to activate the Otsutusuki genes. This in turn means that, instead of introducing active genes into my body, if I can somehow change my own Chakra so that it is compatible with the genes I can still activate them. And I have the best way to determine what the compatible chakra will be like as I have collected twenty-one active genes already. I just need a way to extract that chakra out of the active and change my own to match it.

For the second step, which is to change my own chakra, I have seen it once already. It is when the Sage of Six Paths transfers his own chakra to Sasuke and Naruto. Sasuke even awakens Rinnegan from it! If I think about it carefully, the Sun and the Moon seal should modify their bodies by adding the corresponding genes they were lacking, and the chakra they received would then activate them.

With a solution in sight, it didn't take long for me to come up with a way to achieve this. This will be a two-step process. First I need to gather large quantities of the corresponding Uchiha Chakra from the active genes themselves, both mine and the ones I want to activate. Next, create a seal similar to the Strength of Hundred seal and store this mixture of chakra inside it, and place it on my body so it can passively influence my own genes and activate them.

'I cannot use chakra from multiple active genes, that might cause too much change and cause cells in my body to collapse. Also, this process will take a long time to activate each active gene, but I am ok with it as it is the most stable solution I have found. But still, I need to verify if it will work. Test subjects! I need Test subjects!'
