Recovery was fast. The wood release chakra that I had awakened before I passed out still lingered in my body as I passed out, healing my body in the process. Hagane said I was supposed to be asleep for around 12-13 days but that halved the time.
Everyone was angry at me, however, which I accepted. In the Earth Temple, after the Chakra Examination, we are assigned a teacher that is most compatible to train us. Sort of like a Star Wars Jedi Master and Padawan. I guess? Closest thing I can think of, only the Teacher can have more than one student
Anyways, when I passed out, Akiko was nice enough to delay the selection until I woke up, just so just wouldn't fall behind the others. I'll have to thank her for that
So yeah, that was what was happening now and everyone is either glaring, ignoring, or in Fū's case just excited that I was awake.
"It is tradition, in this temple, that we assign our young to a master of his or her own craft, most suited to training them on their foreseen path. Today, we are doing just that. Before us may be your new teacher for the foreseeable future"

I was hoping for a few of these, actually. Hagane was one just because of our already established friendship and because we already know what we are capable of. There was another, Garou-San. A burly, bald man, almost all muscle and 7'3". He was a very powerful earth user. Some people have said his earth affinity is on par with the First Tsuchikage who had one of the strongest earth styles recorded.
Then there was Firu-Chan. She is a young woman, long teal hair and chestnut eyes with a petite figure, standing at 5'3", as well as a very strong water style user. She migrated from Kiri to Iwa in fear of being wrongly prosecuted for having a bloodline. During that time, Iwa was locked down tight so she sought refuge in the temple here and became a resident. Her earth style isn't something to laugh at either, and she was also a skilled medical practitioner. Perfect for me right now
Akiko started calling names as if this were a Howards sorting. Different people started filling up with longer lines. Mostly the strong earth users and the more experienced, older ones
Kurotsuchi went to a strong earth release user with a secondary fire nature named Okame. He was a skinny man, akin to a Uchiha with his Raven black hair only he had red eyes like Kurenai. A good match
Natsuki went to Firu. It's likely she is heading off towards a strong medical career. Good choice for her personality
Iwano was chosen to be with Garou. No explanation needed
"Fū. You will be with Kino-Sensei. Good Luck"
Hmm? Kino? I wasn't expecting that. Kino-Sensei is a very strong fire release user, secondary earth. She, yeah she, is probably the last person I would have picked..
I trust Akiko-San, however. This is unlikely, however it isn't too rare. Affinity isn't the only factor. Personality, body types, fighting preferences, and a bunch of other stuff also factors into the selection. Kino, in particular, has a very similar body type and Taijutsu style to Fū
"Amisa and Sara. Both of you will be with Yurina-Sensei"

Okay, a little background on Yurina. She's about 27, curly blonde hair like mine, brown eyes, not all that impressive of a figure. She's a powerful Earth and Wind user, A.K.A the one I was expecting would be Fū's sensei. Don't get me wrong, Yurina is cool, she's funny and a total hippy. Everything I like, but like, you know that aura you feel whenever you just don't like someone for no reason? The person looks cool and someone you would be friends with but there's just this aura that makes you wanna punch em in the face?
Me and Yurina. Whenever she speaks, it's just a sudden urge to break her nose and I don't know why because we would be total friends otherwise.
