9 Chapter 9: Konoha

(1st POV)

(So glad I read through the general knowledge section, otherwise I'd not know how to build a boat, survive in the forest, or sail the very boat I built)

I think to myself, sitting at the back, holding the rudder

Looking at the clear sky being reflected off the water, I start thinking, about anything and everything really.

.

.

.

Catching the sight of land in the corner of my eye, I cut off my thoughts.

(Later)

''The land of fire lives up to its name, it's hot as hell here'' I say while running through the trees towards Konoha after hiding my boat for some other day.

(Should make it there in about 6-7 hours) I think as I keep running

(3rd POV)

Kushina sits on Hokage rock

(Where are you, Yuki?) She thinks to herself. Her original beliefs were starting to cave in as more days go by without any signs of Yuki.

The Uzumaki had completely integrated after 1.5 years. Kushina had gotten her red food-related titles. Though other than that, it was going well here

But it all felt just a little bit off without Yuki

In the beginning, she had also realized Sara and Yua weren't there either.

Everyone that she knew well, gone.

Also, some yellow-haired classmate keeps staring at her, even when she would get bullied.

That was the situation with Kushina, but with 6-year-old Akari, Sara's daughter it was way worse.

At first, she didn't understand where had her mom disappeared to, but learning that she won't ever be able to see her again, really broke her.

Her father tried to help her, but he was taking it even worse than her.

Over time though, with the clan's warmth somewhat returning, they had also begun to heal.

With each other, it felt like they could be themselves again.

.

.

.

It was decided that every year, on December 10th, the village would pay respect to the Uzumaki for their loss. This had also helped some regain their will and pride as Uzumaki.

It was dubbed ''Maelstrom day''

(Gate guards POV)

''Man, it's been such a slow day'' I groan as I look at my fellow gate guard... sleeping

''OI, WAKE UP'' I yell at him as he jumps up

''Huh?'' He says confused

''It's my turn to sleep'' I say and lay back

''Hey, someone's coming'' He says as I groan

''Who... cares...'' I slowly say as I realize who's coming. A little boy with... red hair!

''Oi, is that an Uzumaki'' He asks next to me

''What are you asking me for, ask him'' I say to him

He just sighs

As the boy arrives at the booth I stand up

''Name and reason for entry'' I say to the boy

''Yuki Uzumaki, refugee'' He answers

I nod ''Follow me''

I proceed to lead him towards Hokage tower

(Yuki POV)

As I'm walking through the streets, I get curious stares

(The anime doesn't do it justice, this place is gigantic, the walls went from one side of my vision to the other) I think as I walk

Walking into Hokage tower, the gate guard leads me towards a door on the left

''Enter and have your registration filled, then he will explain your allowance and place of residence. The allowance lasts until you either become a ninja, become 18, or get a job.'' The gate guard explains to me as I nod.

Filling in my registration was simple. Finding out I would be living in the Uzumaki clan compound is a different story. Literally, that obviously wasn't there in canon so things have already started to drastically change. Though I knew this would happen since, after all, I was born into this world.

The allowance was enough money to live and save up.

I was given directions to the clan compound and was asked to meet with the clan head.

(News travels fast) I think as I walk out of the building.

Stepping into the compound, I see many Uzumakis stare at me, some have recognition appear on their face as they wave at me, surprised.

A smile involuntarily blooms on my face for the first time in a... long time.

No explanation is needed.

Seeing the biggest house in the middle of the compound, I assume it's the clan head's house and head there.

I knock on the front door and wait

After a few seconds, I hear footsteps and the click of the door

''I presume you are Yuki, come in'' Kuebiko, the clan head, said as he walked back in as I followed.

Going through a corridor, we reach a room with a table and two seats/mats

I sit down and as he sits down in front of me, I see his full appearance

Dark red hair instead of bright red hair, signifying age, black eyes, and a sharp face with wrinkles

He wore a white kimono with a dark red sash

''I asked you to come here to ask if you know about Uzu's current state and if you have anything from Uzu with you'' Kuebiko gets straight to the point

''Uzu was being overflowed with greedy merchants, I had shown no mercy to those that dared harm our home anymore,'' I say and Kuebiko doesn't seem surprised at all, in fact, he nods

''Good that you dealt with them'' He was no stranger to violence

''As for recovered items...'' I say as I take my backpack off and put it in front of me. Opening it, I take out 5 scrolls

''I took all the books that were in the library, including those on the third level, and sealed them into these''

He seemed to be pleasantly surprised

''I had begun to thought that that knowledge was lost to them. Thank you for recovering them.'' He bows his head

''It was the least I could do'' I reply

''Since you've done the clan a great service, please, ask for anything and I will try to get it,'' Kuebiko says.

''Well, could I be able to ask for the multi shadow clone jutsu?''

''Of course, follow me'' He says as he stands up and starts walking

I follow him through the house, leading me through the same corridor, to the right, down another, and finally leading towards a room on the left.

The room seemed to be completely empty, but I knew better, I had sensed a minuscule amount of chakra lining the walls, indicating seals

He places his hand on a specific part of the right wall as a sealing array shows itself, followed by rumbling as a door opens next to it with stairs leading down.

Following him down, we arrive at what looks like a library with multiple shelves full of scrolls and books.

I see him go into the ninjutsu section as he takes out a scroll.

''Here'' He hands me the scroll and I open it. Inside details the multi-shadow clone technique.

''Thank you'' I say as he nods.

We then walk back towards the room we were originally in as we sit down.

''Now, before you go I have one more thing to tell you.'' He says

''Actually, I have one more thing'' I send chakra to the seal on my arm *poof* and the blue katana pops out

''Do you know anything about this?'' I ask him as I see his eyes grow wide. The reason I'm showing this to him is that since it was in a shrine maybe some cult will get mad at me for using the 'sacred' sword and I don't wanna deal with such people, even if I don't have it anymore I have another kenjutsu style that I like.

''That katana...'' I see him at a loss of words, looking at me with shock

''What...?'' I ask him confused, as he regains his composure

''So you were the one... *ahem* That sword is actually sentient, and it is very picky with its wielders, If someone unworthy were to touch it, they would have their chakra and soul sucked out of them. This is the sky and sea katana, Soratumi'' He says to my shock and horror (I could have died by just touching this damn thing!? I knew something was off about this sword when I sensed it, but to think it is sentient... Wait, if it's the sky and sea sword, why does it have flower markings...? Meh, who cares.)

''There is actually only one recorded wielder of this blade in our history. Mind you our history goes on for millennia. That wielder was said to be able to cause disaster on a scale very reminiscent of what happened at Uzu.'' Disaster being the key word as I remember the voice ringing in my head

-Disaster release: God's wrath-

(It's obvious this sword only allows disaster release users to wield it, but what would happen if I used disaster release with this...) I shudder at the thought.

''You were the one who caused the destruction correct?'' I nod

''I guess it's called Disaster release.''

(A/N Haven't had an author's note in a few chapters, now that the gloomy stuff is out of the way: 1531 words)
