Chapter 17 : Kuram's Fight

" You can add one more if you want but it's alright." Said Kurama and both the said toads in front also bowed to the great sage and guided him to an open area where they could fight.

As they went to the training area Kurama scanned the area and planned some pranks in his mind.

He got permission from his brother to mess around and he won't let it go like that. He will make full use of this opportunity, he thought as creepy laughter escaped his mouth and many toads shivered in panic.

In an open area two figures face a huge fox who appeared calm thinking ' are they going to be, well it's fine I need to teach them anyway as they angered big brother.'

He looked around and made plans to damage the area with a bijuu dama and since he started training his strength should be out of expectations of the great sage.

" don't  cause any fatal harm, only spar a little." Said the great sage who also wanted to watch the strength of the fox by himself.

He had a bad feeling since he saw the ten tails in the form of a golden fox. He knew that the dreams of frogs always come true as the method may change and the end result will remain the same.

"Begin"

As the voice fell, Kurama shot at the duo using a speed far superior than any could see, but they could sense him due to their natural energy.

As a fist was approaching the duo. It was  dodged as the duo jumped away in different directions. A large chunk of the area was destroyed as dust flew in the air.

The duo know that they can't face a tailed beast head on as they have knowledge about the world.

They started thinking of a counter and started preparing for an attack while dodging the attacks of the fox.

Kurama  used his tails to sweep the area as both jumped up and started maintaining distance while gathering natural energy to form a Genjutsu to end the fight but they had another thing waiting for them.

He knows that the toads were planning something, he has some battle experience as he sparred or was mostly beaten by his brother in his dimension.

He went on guard for any attack he can receive from the duo but never took them seriously.

Soon the attack of the toads was ready and they started creating distance and stood still.

As they matched their voices at the same pitch to cast a Genjutsu.

The voice was heard by the fox as he fell in the illusion and his movements stopped for not even a second as something happened that even shocked the great sage.

A tailed beast is made of chakra so it doesn't have resistance to Genjutsu of high level. Kurama, who was supposed to stop for a few minutes, broke out of the Genjutsu almost instantly.

Kurama dashed and hit his opponents with fist and others with a tail as they flew. He fired a Tailed beast bomb in their directions as it missed them and hit the surroundings and caused the area to be destroyed.

Ever since the time with the sage of six paths he and everyone knew of the lands of the sage region. 

He always hated their personality and never got along with them and was happy to teach them a lesson as he fell in illusion. The mark of the moon on his forehead activated and the illusion broke.

He knew of the perks of mark except training is to give resistance against illusions and some other he didn't know of.

As he watched his sparring partner falling in the distance he turned to the great sage of toad and nodded at him and went back.

Coming out of his stupor He sent a toad to escort him out. He knew that both Fukasaku and Shima are smart and knew that Genjutsu are tailed beast's weaknesses and that's why they bought time to use Genjutsu to finish the fight soon.

Even if it's not as effective as sharingan's Genjutsu it should have made the fox freeze for a few seconds enough for them to attack him with their best technique.

This revelation shocked the great sage as he thought things were getting out of his hands.

He never took action even during the arrival of Otsutsuki but now he was thinking if he should intervene but he didn't know about their whole strength. He also knew the tailed beast will play a great role for the prophecy to take place.

'How was he able to break the illusion?' thought the sage and suddenly it came to him ' that mark of moon, how did I not notice it before. It was a seal. I only saw it after it glowed for a second and went into a dormant state. Such high attainment in seals. Even better than Hagoromo. Now, I understand why those toads couldn't sense anything. I have to find a way to counter him if he ever again goes out of control and destroys or kills humans.' Unknown to him the seal also had a function to not show itself to others until activated.

" increase the surveillance of the area around them as soon as you get any information, inform me." After informing the toads responsible for gathering information he went back to his room to think of plans for the future.
