Broken World: End Times
Aliens descended to earth on April 30th, 2025 8:36 pm. They appeared in Seattle, Washington, It was a beautiful pink and red sunset as they were seen bursting through the pink clouds. Of course, the government attacked first resulting in them starting a massacre earning them the name “pink devils”. That day was the first day of a 10-year war. When the war first started the military was confident of winning, but they soon learned otherwise. The aliens had advanced weapons and technology. In the end, humanity was fighting a losing battle, the government decided that the best course of action was to use multiple nukes. The pink Devils were exterminated along with any soldiers still fighting.
That day everyone was celebrating their victory. Unknown to everyone though was that all the nukes had caused a fissure that went very deep into the earth. Some animals hadn’t been discovered yet deep within the earth. They started to climb their way up, and when they got to the surface the animals started to mutate from all the radiation. At first, scientists were fascinated by them, however, the animals turned into monsters and started killing people. Fissures started breaking the group all over the world, destroying major cities, and monsters started to appear everywhere.
Once again the government thought they could handle it. But they couldn’t have been more wrong. Armed forces across the world were overrun, forcing governments to group up and make a city capable of housing billions of people. Everyone left alive soon moved there. Monsters now roam everywhere outside the city. Technology was forced to advance with the Crisis, but it also had some help from the U.S. salvaging from alien technology. The only safe place is the city now named heaven City as it's currently the only paradise left in the world.
Cody (placeholder) was one of the first soldiers to fight against aliens and monsters. Unfortunately, he was honorably discharged as he suffered from PTSD from watching his friends and family being murdered by the aliens. He started to make poor decisions in the field and refused to get therapy. Even though he would have gotten dishonorably discharged if his brothers(close friends in the military) hadn’t vouched for him. He still took it poorly and started gambling and drinking alcohol. He ended up loosening most of his money. He was being beaten by loan sharks unable to fight back as he was drunk, one of his ribs broke and punctured his lung. As he was looking at the sky slowly dying he started thinking about his family. Just as he was about to die a notification appeared in front of him.
