Chapter 005 - Necromancy

Turns out even the partial activation of Zephyr's armor has a very beneficial and handy feature.

When activated Wynstan can feel all the wind within a 10 meter cube. What does that mean? That means he can feel almost everything inside of that 10 meter cube. If he focuses he can even feel some insects crawling on the ground.

It's a nice bonus considering he can keep the Zephyr's armor partial activation all day without turning it off.

Battle Aura plus Zephyr's armor, Is he building a tank mage build? It's good as his survival is his top priority, he won't let his second life be wasted.

He is strong here.

He is healthy.

He is gifted with a quite handsome and cute innocent face.

Wynstan clenched his fist with a dark expression as he remembered all the tasteless food, All the needles in his veins, the gazes full of pity directed to him.

He stopped mid air and looked up at the sky, and swore to his soul.

He will stop holding back.

With full control of partial Zephyr's armor he flew leaving a trail of wind as he searched for the strongest monster in the area.

'If I am the strongest monster, where will I camp, hmm,' Wynstan thought as he surveyed the forest.

Every now and then he can detect some animals and hunt them for meat and then put them in his inventory.

After a few hours the strongest Wynstan can find is the Terminate Boar monster. It is towering over Wynstan and surrounded by packs of assault dogs which are still larger but shorter than Wynstan.

The Terminate Boar is several times larger and far stronger than the boar monster Wynstan first met when he first came into the forest.

Wynstan sighs as he doubts these monsters can even penetrate Zephyr's armor.

'Well, Let's try necromancy,' Wynstan thought as he attacked them with Water and Wind magic. He wants to reduce the damage on their body as much as possible.

Water Bullets, Wind Blades, for offense, you know the classic.

A downward push of wind to restrict their movements. It's an easy battle as the Terminate Boar is only a D class monster on its own, Only with its path it can increase its classification to B.

As Wynstan eliminates all the assault dogs, The Terminate Boar roar in fury as he struggles to approach Wynstan as the Wind that is pushing it gets stronger as each step it takes.

The Terminate Boar stops 3 inch away from Wynstan as it can't move a muscle anymore.

With a quick concentrated water bullet Wynstan made a hole on its forehead as it limped down lifelessly.

[Arise]

Shadows covered every inch of the Terminate Boar and then the shadows vanished as the Terminate Boar stood up.

"Big guy, Gather the dogs for me," Wynstan said as he created a chair using Earth Magic.

The Terminate Boar laid the assault dog corpses in front of Wynstan.

There's 14 assault dog corpses in front of Wynstan and he's got to say, It's really fucking dark in here.

It's midnight and the only thing that illuminates this place is the moon so Wynstan cast tiny fireballs and spread it around the area.

Looking around the area Wynstan can only say, "Fuck, This is look like a fictional cult area."

The fireballs around, The corpses, The eerie forest and the moon shining above makes all this a really creepy area.

"All I need, A long robe and a bone mask, right?" Wynstan said to himself.

[Arise]

Four of the dogs got swallowed by shadows and came back to life, Well not exactly alive but yeah.

As his necromancy is beginner in rank he can't really resurrect more but he can put the dogs in his inventory.

[5 Assault Dogs Corpses have been put in inventory.]

Wynstan wanted all of them but some corpses even he is careful are unusable.

So he just made a hole in the ground and burned the remaining corpses.

Now that he is done here and everything is fine and dandy, well except the crater he left when he was making a flying spell earlier.

Wynstan then unsummoned his pets.

Shadows appeared under their feet and swallowed them.

[4 Assault Dogs, and a Terminate Boar have been preserved.]

'Time to hit the hay, These old bones of mine are tired and weary,' Wynstan thought as he flew to the sky.

Wynstan has a great night's sleep and has time because the Practice with Paul is delayed as he needs to investigate what happened in the forest last night.

Afternoon, Lunch with the family.

"I'm sorry Wynstan but I need to get back to the forest again. There's a crater there, for who knows who causes it, but I can't let it be," Paul said as he took a large bite.

"Sounds dangerous, want me to go with you dear?" Zenith questioned with concern.

"It's not exactly a subjugation right now but more like an investigation. If I can't defeat it, we might have to request some adventurers from the town," Paul said.

Wynstan finishes first and informs them that he will make a sandwich for Roxy and Rudeus who are in the backyard practicing magic.

The kitchen is empty right now because Lilia is doing laundry. Wynstan quickly made a simple sandwich and then proceeded to go to the backyards.

Seeing that they are both busy, Wynstan just signals Roxy then puts their meal on a tree stump.

"Alright, Let's take a break for now," Roxy said as she approached Wynstan.

"Oh Wyn!" Rudeus dashes as he gives Wynstan a fist bump.

Wynstan is slightly taller at his age and Rudeus is only as tall as his shoulder.

"Hmm, delicious," Roxy said as she gobbled the food like a chipmunk.

"Yeah, Wyn's food is so tasty, wait is-is this mayonnaise??!" Rudeus shouted his lungs out as he gave Wynstan a questioning gaze.

"Mayonnaise? What is that?" Wynstan feigns ignorance.

"This white stuff! This!" Rudeus said as he opened the sandwich showing the mayonnaise.

"Alright alright that's too close to my face, Don't invade my personal space," Wynstan said as he pushed Rudeus a little bit.

Roxy also watches him intensely as she is also curious about Wynstan's white stuff.

"I have no idea what is mayonnaise but I accidentally made that condiment last night. A cook has to experiment, right?" Wynstan said some BS.

Rudeus gives him a stink eye with his thoughts clearly showing from his face.

"Now, now, how about we spar?" Wynstan said as he uses earth magic and creates a stone sword.

"Yo-you," Roxy's voice stuttering said as she slightly backed away.

"Oh shit," Wynstan said as he realized that Roxy doesn't know that he can use magic, much less using magic without casting.

"Language," Rudeus said.

Roxy inhaled deeply then exhaled to calm herself down.

"You should, knock your head then say teehee," Rudeus whispered to Wynstan.

Wynstan looks at him with eyes full of confusion. He knows that Rudeus is baiting him again.

"I can explain, Please don't leave me!" Wynstan said seriously which presents more confusion.

Who's leaving who?

After a couple of joking around to better Roxy's sanity Wynstan explained that he is really talented in magic. He's got amnesia and can't remember his real family so the Greyrats adopted him, temporarily until he remembers.

Knowing that he is not part of Greyrats, Roxy removes the thought that Paul has genius sperm. He also felt pity for the child but happy that he found a new family.

Wynstan did not take credit for the silent casting and said that it's coincidental but they have learned it separately.

"But I can teach you if you want," Wynstan offered to teach Roxy silent casting.

Since the topic is already on hand, why not grab the opportunity right?

Roxy thinks for a minute but still agrees with conflicting expressions. She is learning from a child not older than 4 but her desire to learn something new is stronger.

After that Wynstan and Rudeus sparring begins..
