55 Chapter 55

One of the screens was recording All Might and Kenshiro facing each other. Midnight was watching her big little student. He had just pushed All Might away from Tamaki and decided to take him on so that his teammate would have a chance to finish.

'I'm actually worried about him,' she said, biting her nail. 'I should be happy that I wasn't chosen to go against him.'

Kenshiro jumped high in the air, his hands turning into different afterimages. Gigantic air palms flew from his hand. Each had a height of 5 meters, and they were at hundreds.

All Might smiled widely and punched back, his fists turning into hundreds of afterimages.

One palm was reflected, hitting a 10-story building. The gigantic palm mark pierced the whole building and imprinted on the one behind, causing them to collapse.

'I'm glad I didn't end up as his opponent. My mist would be pushed away,' Midnight said, nervously scratching her chin. 'I thought he liked me, but to think he could hold grudges over little sexual teasing… I didn't even seduce him seriously, just gave him motivation.'

She turned her head. She could see that the other teachers were quite happy they also didn't have to fight him, except for Aizawa.

'Isn't that too far, All Might?' Midnight winced.

"All Might is letting Tamaki make his way. But how much would he pretend ignorance?" remarked Nezu.

That last knee attack came from my blind spot and sent me flying to a nearby building, imprinting me in.

Unsparingly, I wasn't injured, just in a bit of pain. My cultivation method was named after the flood dragon, known for its tough defenses and physical power. That was the reason I chose it.

I stood up to find myself on the middle floor. Walking to the broken window, I looked down in the direction of All Might. Even from this distance, I could see him smiling.

When I turned my head, I could see a portion of the city had been destroyed. Although my palms weren't meant to do much damage to the public, just destroying a part of the building could cause it to collapse. Some buildings didn't; it had a 5-meter palm print planted on it.

'This is just a Qi refining stage technique. How about Earth-level ones?'

"Any more interesting moves? I've heard you have plenty. If not, I'm going to find your partner," he said, turning and ignoring me, jumping in the air.

A faint image of his next location appeared.

I aimed my hand at it, releasing a finger-sized beam that shone as if it were from the sun. It was faster than a bullet.

Once it hit All Might, a large explosion that could wrap a whole house appeared.

'I could see where he'd go next.'

I turned to the nearby glass. The Tomoe wheel in my eyes spun, and the third Tomoe appeared. My mastery of the Sharingan just increased. Trying to dodge someone as strong as All Might had made me learn more.

The explosion was over. All Might stood there, crossing his arms, looking at me with furrowed eyes.

'Remind me to buy a heaven-level technique once I reach heaven level. It's not that far anyway.'

I didn't waste time. My mana took the form of a circle, before it turned into a few lightning bolts that hit All Might. At the same time, I weaved the ninjutsu signs with one hand.

All Might appeared with slightly burned skin, heading toward me, shrugging off the lightning damage as if it was nothing.

"That had very high voltage, kiddo," he said when he appeared next to me. He grabbed my shoulder and pinned me to the ground before sitting on my back. What he was sitting on was a rock covered by the Transformation Jutsu. Or should I say, the Replacement Jutsu.

"You're not half bad. You made me half serious," said All Might.

Just half serious. It meant that he didn't regard me as a real threat.

"That's really frustrating," I said, hinting with my voice that I was a bit heartbroken. I sat next to him. "So, you're saying if this was a real fight, it would end up quicker."

All Might lowered his head and looked back, finding out that he was sitting on a rock.

I grabbed a piece of the rock I was sitting on as if I were grabbing cheese and crushed it into dust.

I bit on my bottom lip.

I couldn't believe that after all that training for a year, after spending all that money, I just amounted to getting half-serious from All Might.

I clenched my jaw, enduring the burning sensation that invaded my eye and keeping a stoic expression.

'No. No. I should experience more growth once I break through to heroic rank and heaven level. I still have time until the Nomu attack. I should still be able to handle villains.'

'Besides, this All Might isn't as nerfed as the one in the anime; I shouldn't forget that.'

'Right. That All Might was 60 times weaker than his previous peak. So he must be at least 10 times stronger with Eri's help now.'

I wasn't weak. I had just made someone just stronger and compared myself to his previous self.

A big hand landed on my head.

"Lift your head, Shonen. You have a very bright future," said All Might. "You can even surpass me on your own."

"Really?" I raised an eyebrow.

All Might crossed his arms and raised his head. "And I'm talking about my peak."

"Peak?" I asked, pretending not to know what he meant.

"Aizawa Shota told me that you know."

"Oh," I sighed, no point in pretending.

"Besides, you tricked me. You haven't lost."

"Shall we continue then?"

"In case you didn't realize it, your friend had crossed the finishing line." All Might said, "It's your win."

Following his words, echoed a bell sound that Tamaki made.

All Might stood up and left, leaving me alone.

'The words of Rin about my futures… I'm getting more worried the more it approaches. It's okay. I'll just push myself even further beyond.' Would I even survive at this rate? 'Should I have asked for spoilers?'

I tightened my eyes as I closed them, clenching my fists.
